Does anyone else hear reapers in the beginning. It could just be Matt fussing about.
+Joanna Platero It's just Matt messing about with a descending tapping run on the low D string. Reapers starts with an ascending progression on the high D (well, normal D). Similar but no real connection.
Tom Scheeper Do you have any basis for that or are you just saying it because it's the same technique on the same string?
'Cause, like I said, this is pretty much just random tapping. Loads of people do it.

There's plenty of mistakes on there. Like just about any wiki, it can be edited by anyone. Someone probably heard this, thought 'huh, sounds a bit like Reapers' and presumed it was the birth of that song when it really wasn't.
Tom Scheeper I'm not saying all of it's false, I'm just saying you can't 100% trust everything you read on there since it can be edited by anyone with no need for a credible source (which I'm guessing this also doesn't have). This is just another one of those cases.
Tom Scheeper Trust me, it's just random guitar noodling. Matt often did this tapping for years and still does. Hell, I do it all the time. If it was a clear, unique riff like with Psycho or Supremacy then fair enough but this is just generic playing.
I mean, if you wanna believe it then go ahead but there's no real reason to. I think people just look too hard for connections sometimes.
