Rigby has always been fearless when it comes time to throw down. Seriously; watch any fist fight he and Mordecai get into, he’ll rush the biggest guy there.
Best scene of the whole cartoon series. It showed their real friendship. That they would give their lives to save each other. Add to that everyone else in the crew is eagerly waiting for them to be saved, plus a killer song, just epic!

This scene is one of the reasons why I love Regular Show. Similar to shows like Amphibia and Gravity Falls, it knew when to be dark, disturbing, mature, and intense but unlike something like Family Guy, it never crossed the line to the point where it looks the writers are just trying to disturb the viewers for cheap laughs. It had a tone that no other kids show could copy and that’s why it stood out to so many people. I love this episode even more, because the main villain actually has a fair point. If Santa made this magic box for everyone in the world, no one would be corrupted by its dark magic. Yet Santa declined, because then no child or adult would need Santa. Such a great show... One could even say, jolly good show.
A detail that everyone skips over is how both Mordecai and Rigby look into the box. Every person who has looked into it has been filled with selfish desires, that is the whole reason it's evil. But not these two. Rigby looked inside and wasn't taken over by evil, instead trying his best to wish the item turn into ice cream so Quill couldn't get the detonator. Then, he passes the box to Mordecai who looks inside and getting what he desires most in that moment, the way to get him and his best friend out of the pit of lava, then letting the box burn in the pit. These two literally resisted dark magic just to save each other and Christmas.
