Every time I watch Sri Lanka I wonder how many attractions such a small island country has just south of India where I belong although our country is also very beautiful but it's so large so to it's attractions and diversity is well understood but Sri Lanka is different being such a small island in an Indian Ocean it has lot of variety and natural wonders which amazed me often thanks for the vlog you are an amazing and a very kind person dauvd keep rocking and exploring.🇮🇳❤️🇱🇰

You've no idea how lucky you are Davud! Im so jealous. I have been on 5 safaris in my life and not once have I been blessed enough to see a leopard. Although I did see a family of sloth bears my first time, 3 cubs and the mother. Which people consider to be a super rare sighting....but im only in it for the leopards xD

Yala National park was a highly populated area before 2100 years. Buthawa lake was built before around 2600 years by rulers of the area to fulfill water requirement of the settlements. This area was abandoned due to 12 year continuous unusual draught (before 2100 years). After that this area became a forest. There are so many ancient man made lakes in this area which provides water requirement of the spices in the area. Unfortunately most of the lakes are not repaired from long time and this affect badly to the lives of the forest during dry season.

@@islander_kool_kat you misunderstood me. I only see these in zoos. Not in the wild. We have a big zoo here. With elephants, gorillas, rhinos, beats, etc.

dude u are so lucky, I've been visiting yala since I was 10 with my grandpa once a year, he is a senior member of the club and I've seen most of the leopards in the park but I've only seen lucas twice. It's such a blessing to see him that close to you.and yes if you want to go on a safari in yala this is the best time as davud mentioned so I highly recommend you to visit yala now if you are in sri lanka or you are planning to visit sri lanka.if you want to see elephants I think udawalawe national park is the best spot ;) and ofc thank you davud for showing our country's beauty to the world.❤️☺️

Sri lanka is superb... Even during the economical crisis they have enough food, good climate, good travelling, very helpful people...comfortable travelling... It's nice to visit you Sri lanka...❤❤❤

You are so lucky.... Its very rare to see Leopards in Yala National Park.. I visited 05 or 06 times there but couldn't see even one.... stay safe and thanks for visiting my Paradise for donating and supporting us in this difficult situation......
Not that rare, I have seen 11 leopards within three days...

Rubbish Indian vehicles making heavy disturbing noises/ sounds ..they should turn off the engines. They are disturbing these animals. I think Sri Lankan Wild Life ministry should take serious tougher action against these vehicles.

I used to spend all school vacations inside the parks growing up (40+ years ago). The bungalows (no electricity and no phones) were inside the park you had to take everything with you water, fuel, and food. We would spend a week to 10 days inside. At most there was 20 vehicles in the park at any given time. It was a truly wild experience with real rules. Sad to see what it has become. I guess that’s progress 😢

All males does not have tusks . only 3% of Sri Lankan elephants are tuskers .
Davud you are so lucky.. Even me as a Sri Lankan hasn’t seen leopards in Yala in my 2 time safari rides.

I considered taking private tours but after seeing how many filled safari vehicles are around you why bother? I'm glad to have seen this and will save myself some money.
