    Thank you for this amazing video! I can see this mountain from my house in Arlington and the look out tower with a telescope. I have wanted to go up there but it's a little too far of a hike for me. Your video is the next best thing for me! The views are truly amazing! Thank you for sharing! 😊

    Amazing! Thanks for sharing this incredible experience, I really enjoyed watching! Learned you can extreme hike and still drink Expresso and eat gourmet food in a bag along the way! Also not to skimp on crampons, unless you want bloody knuckles! Love to live vicariously through your draw-dropping amazingly filmed videos of your adventures!

    Is there a book on how long it took to carry the building materials for the house up there? And HOW 🤯!!! So incredibly beautiful tho. Thank you for the tour- not sure I’ll ever visit in person🤔

      Originally they used mules to get the construction materials as close as they could and then the rest of the way by hand including using ropes and pulleys. The top had to be blasted flat first to create enough room for the cabin. When the roof was replaced in recent history though they used a helicopter.

    Hii just bumped to your video. Planning to do 3fingers this year summer. Is 2 things I'm terrified bears while wild camping and bad weather like you had on descending. Well done to you and I'm glad Kyle is ok. Great production...all best Lucy UK

      @FranklinJohnson  Рік тому +1

      Unfortunately those are the two things you can do nothing about! Plan your weather window, and don't keep food at the campsite and you should be fine.

    Loooove this video! I really want to do this hike. Is there an AllTrails trail for this hike? I’m seeing multiple on the site and I’m not sure which one it is.

    Damn, that's awesome Franklin!!
    I just saw this place on yes theory recently.
    You got some great footage!
    It's good to see you pushing the limits and living your best life.
    What drone did you use? Mini 3?

    My friend and I are prepping to do this hike!! We live in Indiana and aren’t familiar with the Washington area. Was there any info on bear sightings when you went? My biggest fear is running into one in the backcountry. Did the forest service have any warnings about wildlife for the trail?

    • @FranklinJohnson
      @FranklinJohnson  3 місяці тому

      It's possible but unlikely. Take normal precautions with food and you'll be fine. Take some bear spray if you're really worried about it.

    Incredible edit, loved it all. What an experience getting the best of both worlds weather wise. Have been trying to get over here for the last two years and stumbled on you video the other week. I love the idea of the bike rental. So I’m from Sydney can’t seem to find a place where you’re able to rent the bikes. Any suggestions would be really appreciated as I’m planning a trip over at the moment

      We rented off twistedroad, i've rented from that site many times. Its like turo but for motorcycles.

    What time of year did you go?

    • @FranklinJohnson
      @FranklinJohnson  5 днів тому

      It was October 19th. Weather is going to do what weather is going to do but it was perfect timing for us.

    Did you see any wildlife on this trip??

    • @FranklinJohnson
      @FranklinJohnson  Рік тому

      It was really creepy and weird how at night it was dead silent. Back home when we camp there is all kinds of noises when you sleep, but I guess the time of year everything was hunkered down. Other than birds and a few humans we didn't see anything.

  • @yourgrandmasalzheimerpills1143

    Wondering what drone you used and how many batteries you took to fill all that?

    • @FranklinJohnson
      @FranklinJohnson  Рік тому

      DJI Mavic air, and I only took one extra battery. You gat about 20-25 min flight time on each.

    I had a feeling something bad was going to happen to Kyle. He was just not in the moment at any moment. Didn't even acknowledge the beautiful view you pointed out. Sorry, thumbs-down for not showing Kyle sliding down the icy patch. Kyle is so lucky and should stay off the mountains until he gets more experience with professional guides.
