I think these theme's represent their games better than any other theme. The first being simple but intense. The second one being intriguing and unnerving and the third one being dark and dramatic. The one of Apollo being very technical and professional. The one of investigations having an elegance and flare to it. The one of the crossover being extremely heavy and almost religious and the one of Duel Destinies being grand and powerful. The final one being very mysterious and ominous.
I like how these themes progress from "kind of groovy but still a good revelation song" to "THE WORLD IS ENDING EVERYONE IS DEAD AND ITS ALL THE DEFENDANT'S FAULT"
Malik Islamov GK2 is my favorite in the series but it's not underrated, everyone whose played it considers it the best or among the best, save for hardcore Takumi purists

I've always loved 2002. I know the darker themes in there but 2002 really just brought out the sense of seriousness of what's happening in the courtroom. It doesn't matter if it's the defendant or not, what's happening has serious consequences and those consequences are entirely independent of what the ones involved in the cases are going through/went through. I think 2002 hits this concept hard, the closest one to this effect has to be 2007. It really just drives home the punch of "This is the house of law, what's happening here is something incredibly serious and irreversible."

all are good themes but 2007 have something very special the other themes have the impact of a really crucial and important moment but 2007 have a diferent feeling about the uncover of a really dark secret who destroy many lives and even when the truth see the light nothing changes for the people who suffer for that
T&T has always been my favourite. The tension and drive towards to the end really fits the game, especially bridge to turnabout Though, DGS is a very close contender I also wish JFA was in 5/4 like AAI, since I quite like it. That would have bumped it up for me.
How does 2012 not get more love? I think it perfectly underscores the triumph of getting the truth in the context of the chaotic and life-threatening witch trials. It gets me super pumped with every listen.
After finishing Great Ace Attorney the 2015 one became my favorite. The moments it is used hit a lot of feelings like for example pointing out who the real serial killer was crushing in the last case that lasted hours.
Am I the only one who noticed the difference between Telling, Announce, and Confess? Alright then: Telling: Your basic truth theme, with a nice balance, not much to say about it’s difference Announce: These ones sound lighter, and a bit more surprising and airy. Usually have a “pink sound”, for reference if you can hear colours like I can (please help I don’t know why am I the only one XD?) Confess: Probably my favourite, they sound deeper, and more dark. They also sound slightly more unnerving and mysterious. Usually have a “purple sound”.
I don’t have a lick of synesthesia but I still associate specific things with other things, likely based on experiences etc. Pink is the color of cotton candy, an airy substance, and purple is a historically royal color. Personally I associate dark things (figuratively and literally) with red, the color of blood and alarm bells, while I associate light things with lavender-y purple just because it’s my favorite color. tl;dr it doesn’t have to be a synesthesia thing
Tbh I feel like 2001 works as a telling, but I actually feel 2013 has a tiny tinge of Announce in it (I probably only think that because it sounds “pink” though)
I think that Great Ace Attorney's Confess the Truth is the best, it starts with the build up, then the realization, then the horror at what actually happened, in other games its like. "oh i hid in the basket and pretended I didn't move" in DGS, this plays when "I moved the dead body, to not ruin my life with my wife, That was the first time i cursed god" Or Like in case 1, where Hosonaga hid his identity to let Ryunosuke take the fall for Brett''s murder. So cool.
My favorite one is the one of Justice for all. It has such a great sense of mystery and intrigue to it. Like you're digging through layer upon layer of mystery.
There's a clear contradiction here, Apollo justice is NOT a "2nd game". It's the first game of the second trilogy. Even if you count apollo justice in the first "trilogy" it still wouldn't be a "2nd game". Same for spirit of justice. So, you are clearly wrong.
The best is still definitely AAI for me due to the amazing piano solo and the chords in the background making a beautiful addition to the outstanding soundtrack.

2009 is criminally underrated, and it's my favourite tell the truth theme The piano in the beginning, then going full instruments is what makes it such an amazing song

2016 REALLY gives me Goosebumps.... I'll give a list though 2002 (Really shows when a witness has nothing left up their sleeve and you finally nail them) 2016 (So...dark. Beautiful. The intensity of the cases match this theme well. Well composed) 2001 (Same thing with this. The dark undertone just suits so well. Always chose the right moments to play this) EC (^^^^^^ but orchestrated) 2009 (2002 x100000 why even hate) 2007 (It wasn't as dark, but still was enjoyable to hear. Incredibly satisfying) 2004 (Well made theme. Fitted each and every moment presented in the game. Just well done honestly) Labyrinthia (For real goosebumps here. A nice twist on the theme) 2013 (I like how cinematic this feels. Can't describe it. Just really satisfying theme) 2015 (Very unique I'll say. For the rest of the soundtrack too.) 2011 (This game in general just had a phenomenal soundtrack. This is no exception)
1) JFA There's no build up, the song just start with maximum intensity and keeps it tense all the time, it has a very brief break which doesn't slow down the pacing in the slightest. Very fitting for the final case, where the tension is high through the whole case, especially after Shelly de Killer is called to the witness stand.
Apollo Justice’s Tell the Truth is haunting. When you hear that theme start playing, especially when Phoenix is involved, you know something big is about to happen
These are the feelings I get when I hear each of the Truth themes, excluding PLvPW and DGS. It would be unfair if I judged the soundtrack without playing the games. *EIGHT* 2007: Woah! *(Yes, this theme is not very good at making me feel a lot. But it is very, very good! It is quiet, but it definitely makes me feel surprised, but a tiny ounce of pleasure. This theme reminds me of Apollo.)* *(Plus, you can't deny how fun it is to sing along to the impossibly fast and confusing melody)* *SEVEN* 2002: Wait, really? COOL! *(This theme is VERY good, don't get me wrong, especially in the very beginning when the drums aren't keeping a beat. It's just after a while it doesn't sound very much like a huge plot twist. Really, I love this theme, it just doesn't make me feel exactly the right things.)* *SIX* 2009: No way... This is what happened...? I see it now! *(This theme is a plot twist. Nothing more.)* *(...Okay, no. This theme has the feeling of a great truth being laid right in front of my eyes, so sudden, but now that I've seen it, it all makes sense. Oh, and plus, this is a great and emotional musical piece, whether it be a Telling the Truth theme or not.)* *FIVE* 2011: Wait, what? This cannot be... is it? *(This theme is VERY different from 2009, but it is also very good. This quieter version of Confess the Truth is more melancholy, and definitely makes you feel a lot more gut-wrenching emotion. The tables have turned!!!!!! *(For me this is the best theme at making you feel like there has been a huge plot twist, one that will change the case forever. It also makes me feel shocked, but powerful, like nothing could stop me.)* *THREE* 2013: N-no! NO! You didn't d-do it! Wh-what... Is HAPPENING?!?!?!? *(This goddamn theme brings tears to my eyes. All I see when I hear Announce the Truth 2013 is Athena in the detention center, shaking, with five black Psyche-Locks covering her mentally unstable form. This theme is horrifying... terrifying... it's nightmare fuel. And that is why I love this theme so much. The feels turn in on themselves, break the fourth wall, and rebuild It again. This theme also desmonstrates the aura of a plot twist stupidly well. It kinda has to. It is truly a masterpiece, and I can't correctly explain why.)* *TWO* 2004: WHAT? YES!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! *(Oh...my god. WHAT THE F**K? What IS this?!?)* *(This is Confess the Truth 2016. The best Truth theme. Done. Period.)* *(Confess the Truth 2016 is so good, I can't say why. That would kind of be a sin. But I'll attempt it.)* *(When I hear 2013 and 2016, my body feels despair of the worst kind. 2016's theme is more of a frantic, what-the-hell kinda despair. And this almost deals more damage than the other. This feeling is more dead than 2013; that theme is more of a sadness kinda despair. With this feeling, you realize the heartbreaking truth, and as your hopeless eyes fill with tears, they, along with your will, your soul, your heart, face an endless abyss of black. Think of Athena's breakdown. Now, the other factor of a Truth theme. The element of "Turnabout". Once again, Confess the Truth 2016 delivers perfectly.)* *(It gives the impression of an unexpected reveal flawlessly. It's like the kind of plot twist that you wouldn't guess ever, but now that you've thought of the possibility, you realize how actually mentally impacting this new truth brings, and the challenging consequences this will mean for the whole world. Okay, maybe not that big, but still...)* Like my list? And also, funny of ME to say this, but I think Telling the Truth 2007 is really underrated! It is actually very good, and the different range of notes feel like I'm on a rollercoaster! This creation deserves more love! ❤
The kind of plot twists that get revealed in SoJ are downright insane, and they DESERVE the best Truth theme. A recap of some of the better ones: (MASSIVE SPOILERS) - A spiteful, hate-filled magician, barred from his troupe and his dignity, lashes out at their trust, their pride, and their legacy. - A husband and wife whose happy life spiraled into tragedy at the hands of an unjust law outside of their control. - A former queen, rumored to be in exile, hiding under everyone’s noses. - A residing queen, stripped of her authority to rule... And then there is the case where the decisive evidence is the kind of noodles someone was making. Ace Attorney, everybody.
I really like this rock-techno approach they have on Spirit of Justice. Why are so many people thinking "it doesn't fit"? I mean, come on, that chief priest transforms his.... whatever into an electric guitar, what style would fit more?
That transformation doesn't fit either. Though the poster of Spirit of Justice does highlight a problem and that is that AA is getting too crowded. They should abandon certain characters. Maybe even kill off a few. Maybe they could kill off Trucy. Maybe Phoenix could be the accused as children are statistically more likely to be killed by their parents than anyone else. I'm also surprised we never had a suicide case yet. Japan has one of the world's highest suicide rates and one of the lowest homicide rates. Japanese are 17 times more likely to kill themselves than kill someone else. It would be very possible that someone committed suicide and someone who had a motive was at the wrong place at the wrong time.
You need to play Danganronpa, if you haven't yet. It's on PS4, PSVita and Steam. It's a lot like Phoenix Wright and suicide is a subjet that is dealt with. I won't tell you if it actually happened or not, but in severeal cases suicide is considered a possibility.

MINOR SPOILERS FOR DGS DGS is the best one by far. The music in that is just sad. Like you need to get to the truth but the only way to do that is to uncover someone's dark secret. And this really only plays not when you uncover the truth about the murderer, but more so when you uncovered something that the witness tried to hide, even off the witness stand. It really makes you feel that you uncovered the truth, but at the cost of someone's mentality. This is shown quite clearly woth John Garrideb and Patrick or whatever that police man's name is. I really love the music for DGS.
I love all of these so much... but I think dual destinies might be my favourite, instant chills remembering when it starts playing a few times with athena cykes in the final case!

I just want Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney to be rereleased on the 3DS, like the original trilogy was. I want more Justice, dammit! Sure, I'll give you that the game's not _quite_ as good as the first three, but in no way does it make it "bad" - it's definitely better than Dual Destinies (wasn't really a fan of 'actual 3D' investigations; preferred the whole 'one screen' thing, myself. Furthermore, the cases felt...bland...compared to the previous four games, aside from the final, phantom-finding one). Not to mention that AJ:AA had perhaps _the most insane person yet seen_, Kristoph Gavin. My God, is he EVIL, and extreme - literally the ONLY person unable to be found guilty under the usual system, and his insidious plot lasted _how long_? YEARS? Screw the Phantom; screw Dahlia Hawthorne; screw Matt Engarde - Kristoph is still the reigning king of evil, especially considering how many lives the latter's plot affected compared to the rest. Just...wow, Kristoph.
I think that's obvious, but still... SPOILERS FOR ACE ATTORNEY 3 BELOW!!! In my opinion he is as evil as Dahlia Hawthorne. Really, this girl is waay to evil and sinister to put her below Kristoph. I mean, she didn't even care about using her sister, she manipulated EVERYONE she wanted, just to achieve her goals. Even after her death, she kept pursuing and using others for her own biddings.
The Phantom is the only "truly unknown" AA villain we've had so far (I don't know anything related to DGS or SoJ aside from returning characters). I'd say he's more of a mysterious cliffhanger than actual evil. He is also the evil we actually fear irl: simple but deadly and mostly untouchable, pretty much like Giygas and Porky in the Mother games.

That's probably because it plays so much less inits game than the other confess the truth tracks do in their games.

I'm playing Apollo Justice and I've never felt such an adrenaline rush. It is simply technical, elegant and vividly conveys the sentiments of Apollo.

Am I the only one who noticed the difference between Telling, Announce, and Confess? Alright then:
Telling: Your basic truth theme, with a nice balance, not much to say about it’s difference
Announce: These ones sound lighter, and a bit more surprising and airy. Usually have a “pink sound”, for reference if you can hear colours like I can (please help I don’t know why am I the only one XD?)
Confess: Probably my favourite, they sound deeper, and more dark. They also sound slightly more unnerving and mysterious. Usually have a “purple sound”.

I don’t have a lick of synesthesia but I still associate specific things with other things, likely based on experiences etc.
Pink is the color of cotton candy, an airy substance, and purple is a historically royal color. Personally I associate dark things (figuratively and literally) with red, the color of blood and alarm bells, while I associate light things with lavender-y purple just because it’s my favorite color.

Tbh I feel like 2001 works as a telling, but I actually feel 2013 has a tiny tinge of Announce in it (I probably only think that because it sounds “pink” though)
I think that Great Ace Attorney's Confess the Truth is the best, it starts with the build up, then the realization, then the horror at what actually happened, in other games its like. "oh i hid in the basket and pretended I didn't move" in DGS, this plays when "I moved the dead body, to not ruin my life with my wife, That was the first time i cursed god" Or Like in case 1, where Hosonaga hid his identity to let Ryunosuke take the fall for Brett''s murder. So cool.
My favorite one is the one of Justice for all. It has such a great sense of mystery and intrigue to it. Like you're digging through layer upon layer of mystery.
2004 just hits different. And i cant even blame nostalgia, i finished playing t&t like 2 months ago.
i will say, 2011 is also really good. And I havent played DGS yet, but 2015 just sounds great

There's a clear contradiction here, Apollo justice is NOT a "2nd game". It's the first game of the second trilogy. Even if you count apollo justice in the first "trilogy" it still wouldn't be a "2nd game". Same for spirit of justice. So, you are clearly wrong.

There's no build up, the song just start with maximum intensity and keeps it tense all the time, it has a very brief break which doesn't slow down the pacing in the slightest.
Very fitting for the final case, where the tension is high through the whole case, especially after Shelly de Killer is called to the witness stand.

This theme also desmonstrates the aura of a plot twist stupidly well. It kinda has to. It is truly a masterpiece, and I can't correctly explain why.)*

The kind of plot twists that get revealed in SoJ are downright insane, and they DESERVE the best Truth theme. A recap of some of the better ones: (MASSIVE SPOILERS)
- A spiteful, hate-filled magician, barred from his troupe and his dignity, lashes out at their trust, their pride, and their legacy.
- A husband and wife whose happy life spiraled into tragedy at the hands of an unjust law outside of their control.
- A former queen, rumored to be in exile, hiding under everyone’s noses.
- A residing queen, stripped of her authority to rule...
And then there is the case where the decisive evidence is the kind of noodles someone was making.
Ace Attorney, everybody.

I really like this rock-techno approach they have on Spirit of Justice. Why are so many people thinking "it doesn't fit"? I mean, come on, that chief priest transforms his.... whatever into an electric guitar, what style would fit more?
That transformation doesn't fit either. Though the poster of Spirit of Justice does highlight a problem and that is that AA is getting too crowded. They should abandon certain characters. Maybe even kill off a few. Maybe they could kill off Trucy. Maybe Phoenix could be the accused as children are statistically more likely to be killed by their parents than anyone else.
I'm also surprised we never had a suicide case yet. Japan has one of the world's highest suicide rates and one of the lowest homicide rates. Japanese are 17 times more likely to kill themselves than kill someone else. It would be very possible that someone committed suicide and someone who had a motive was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

You need to play Danganronpa, if you haven't yet. It's on PS4, PSVita and Steam. It's a lot like Phoenix Wright and suicide is a subjet that is dealt with. I won't tell you if it actually happened or not, but in severeal cases suicide is considered a possibility.

MINOR SPOILERS FOR DGS
DGS is the best one by far. The music in that is just sad. Like you need to get to the truth but the only way to do that is to uncover someone's dark secret. And this really only plays not when you uncover the truth about the murderer, but more so when you uncovered something that the witness tried to hide, even off the witness stand. It really makes you feel that you uncovered the truth, but at the cost of someone's mentality. This is shown quite clearly woth John Garrideb and Patrick or whatever that police man's name is. I really love the music for DGS.

I just want Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney to be rereleased on the 3DS, like the original trilogy was.
I want more Justice, dammit! Sure, I'll give you that the game's not _quite_ as good as the first three, but in no way does it make it "bad" - it's definitely better than Dual Destinies (wasn't really a fan of 'actual 3D' investigations; preferred the whole 'one screen' thing, myself. Furthermore, the cases felt...bland...compared to the previous four games, aside from the final, phantom-finding one).
Not to mention that AJ:AA had perhaps _the most insane person yet seen_, Kristoph Gavin. My God, is he EVIL, and extreme - literally the ONLY person unable to be found guilty under the usual system, and his insidious plot lasted _how long_? YEARS? Screw the Phantom; screw Dahlia Hawthorne; screw Matt Engarde - Kristoph is still the reigning king of evil, especially considering how many lives the latter's plot affected compared to the rest. Just...wow, Kristoph.

In my opinion he is as evil as Dahlia Hawthorne. Really, this girl is waay to evil and sinister to put her below Kristoph. I mean, she didn't even care about using her sister, she manipulated EVERYONE she wanted, just to achieve her goals. Even after her death, she kept pursuing and using others for her own biddings.

The Phantom is the only "truly unknown" AA villain we've had so far (I don't know anything related to DGS or SoJ aside from returning characters). I'd say he's more of a mysterious cliffhanger than actual evil. He is also the evil we actually fear irl: simple but deadly and mostly untouchable, pretty much like Giygas and Porky in the Mother games.
