Bro, invest in a long paintbrush...30cm long handle. The brush will be a nice gentle way to prod the T along and the long handle keeps the bite parts away. That spoon is way too short if she goes on full attack mode...heh, especially if you get an OBT:D
Thanks man ! They're definitely a must-have sp! and yesss.. NEVER forget it!!!! I swear, everything goes smooth sailing when you're well-prepared.. but all hell breaks loose when you don't have a catch cup on standby 😑
Dude your videos are so funny! Something always happens or goes wrong in the ones I have seen and I really enjoy you winging it and your commentary! Your Quantum Leap catchphrase 'oh boy' makes me laugh.
I know this is old, but when you said they are " fast and mean" I had to laugh a little. My C. darlingi, Dahlila, is the calmest taranrula I own suprisingly. She's even calmer than my G. pulchripes, which is odd. If she wasn't an old world, I wouldn't mind casually letting her walk on my hand during rehousings. I love my horned girl so much.
I used to think old world meant that the tarantula once lived in the wild and was captured and then you bought it and new world meant they were born into captivity
That's actually an interesting way you interpreted it. I used to think the old worlds were the older species and the new worlds were the newer species discovered/introduced after selective breeding or genetic modification or something lol.
What's funny is before I started watching these videos, I would not be able to comprehend why someone with a fear of spiders would ever want a tarantula. Especially being someone who has a HUGE fear of spiders (no joking, I almost crashed my grandmas car because of a spider the size of an ant do not test me lol). But since, I've been asking myself the same question xD
He notes further, if you have to make a choice between which one to hold, he prefers new world spiders if he decides to hold one, since they are generally more docile and slower,
Hey comments, I may get an Arizona Blonde soon, and I was wondering if grinding up cacao beans and mixing it with ground coconut husk would be a good substrate
Aw thanks a lot man! 😃 Really appreciate it! and um.. True spider as in the huntsman (that's the only one I have)? I'll try and include him in the next feeding vid if I manage to get a good shot (I usually delete off clips that aren't too good).. it's also super fast, so I'm a bit afraid of it HAHA - If that one were to make a bolt for it (esp. once grown), I think I'll be the one running out the room 😂
Isn't this species a burrowing kind? Don't you need a lot more substrate for it? I keep 2 spiderlings of this species and the both make deep burrows but maybe the don't need that when they mature? Basically my question is why do you keep a burrower like a terrestrial?
There are 2 types of “burrowers”. Ones that make a lot of webbings (opportunists) and ones that are fossorial (stay in very deep holes). This species do fine both ways. If you provide a lot of substrate they’ll most likely make use of it. Some individuals may not. As for me, I prefer them with lesser substrate, encouraging them to web up more. I don’t like my Ts burying themselves. Burrowers are kept like terrestrials because they are terrestrials. Terrestrials are ones that live on the ground, and Arboreals are those up in the trees.
Connor Duff is it still considered a “sling”? When they’re still pretty tiny, feed them multiple times a week, or offer food at least twice a week. Mine is at the size of possibly either a nickel or a quarter, and I’m feeding twice a feed unless he’s/she’s in pre-molt. I’m also feeding him/her a larger small cricket, or a couple pinhead crickets. I’d also recommend crickets now, cause dubia roaches burrow and while the spider itself burrows when it’s small, it might not reach the Tarantula ever if they both burrow in different sides of your enclosure. But when it gets bigger, offer a variety of bugs, kinda like what you see ExoticsLair offer his bigger t’s.
The only T I ever lost was a 1/2" hapalopus sp. Colombia large. I don't know whether it got eaten by a dubia or got out, but I'm guessing it escaped. I have since learned to make MUCH smaller holes in the enclosures. It was actually my first sling ever. So that sucks.
No! Don't burn the damn house down, you'll KILL the spider! That's being a bad T owner which STILL counts as Cruelty to animals or animal abuse! Even though they are odd, spiders are actually animals. All animals, or anything with flesh, has emotions and feelings!
So now we're gonna rehouse this tarantu...
*tarantula closes door*
Tarantula: Nope. Not today.
can you imagine an angry, teenage tarantula arguing with their parents and then trying to go to their room and slam the door?
The slamming the door on you made me laugh out loud!
When she closed the door hahahah that was one epic "nope" :P
~~Turn away and spin the door! The spoon never bothered me anyway~~
Drag0n Mistr3ss u AHAHAHHAHA
I watched this video three times! You can almost hear her say NO Sealing her little door closed! I could not stop laughing she’s awesome 💕
Aaaw so cute how she tried to close the door behind her!
Is it just me that finds it cute when he says darlingi or
"This girl's still a virgin" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Forceps would be easier than a brush
Yeah, I wouldn't be using something that short.
I would'a picked her up with my hand. She looked very calm and shy! Of course, she's an old world and I'd probably have gotten wrecked! :D
3:47 is my favorite part😂
Savannah Ray, mine too LMAO 🤣
I love your videos man I need to get myself a darlingy and good luck with breeding 👍
P.s don't forget your catch cup lol
Thanks man !
They're definitely a must-have sp!
and yesss.. NEVER forget it!!!!

So sweet how she closed her door 😊
How have i never seen this vid. When she started "closing the door" on you was hilarious! 😂
*goddamnit i forgot the catch cup*
She has a temper ☺️
For this species, I'd say she was "calm" in this video, lol
Vee Butler lol most of them do mine has no fuse she goes off like a bomb lol
Vee Butler how i like it
@@ExoticsLair ❤️🎁
So cute when u say darlingi

good rehouse, looks like it went perfect :) thanks for posting :)
Yup,
Checked up on her and noticed she started webbing up today so that's good.

Lol shes closing the door 😂
That was super cute!
Always do transfers int he bathtub (with the drain plugged). I learned this lesson after losing a C. Lividum in a 2 bedroom apartment.
What kind of tarantula is smart to have when you have a small case of a fear of spiders? If that makes sence XD
What's funny is before I started watching these videos, I would not be able to comprehend why someone with a fear of spiders would ever want a tarantula. Mexican Red Knee or Arizona Blonde, since they're more docile.
Lmaooooo the “oh shit” has me dying omg
3:46 "Oh shit." 😂
Do you ever pick them up with your hands? Just out of curiosity
He notes further, if you have to make a choice between which one to hold, he prefers new world spiders if he decides to hold one, since they are generally more docile and slower,
The Arizona Blonde, he does, since she's so docile
Not this one, Darlingi's might look cute but they are *not* docile
Apply some talcum powder to the new enclosure to help with T hygiene following molts. They generally need 1 shake per day.
Nice! Your finally gonna make your first breeding video. Good Luck!
Cheers!
I really hope I'll be able to film it..
I have caught a wolf spider and I put it in the enclosures just like you made in your videos 😄
nice snake skin looks like some type of rattle snake
Super Goose Woolums Silly, haven’t you seen an ostrich before?
You are too funny where there's an escapee..lmao!
Hey comments, I may get an Arizona Blonde soon, and I was wondering if grinding up cacao beans and mixing it with ground coconut husk would be a good substrate
nice video as allways dude ! good luck with the breeding ...my c.marshalli pair is going to be paired up as well this weekend c:
Nice!
Good luck to you too!
I have a 1cm sling and what I would like to know is can they climb their enclosures?
My mum and my sister is so scared of spiders and insects! Me and my dad like spiders and insects
this girl has a lot of personality lol
My c. Darlingi is a sweetheart.
She's so cute!!
good luck on the breeding your one of my favorite UA-camrs and P.S when is the next time your gonna have your true spider in your vid
Aw thanks a lot man! 😃
Really appreciate it!

Did he ever acknowledge the snakes skin or did I miss it?

I have a question have you ever been biten by one of your spiders?
Have you ever thought about or had the opportunity to get a gooty ornamental? Or what is your thoughts on them?
Do u have any C. Marshalli's and if so are you breeding them? 😊
Why do you have two hands in this video? 🤔
I would name her "Darlene".
Seems like a fitting name for her Scientific Name. ;)
Run darliny👍👌
anyone else notice she has a triforce on her abdomen? PRINCESS ZELDA IS A TARANTULA CONFIRMED!
Im getting this species. my first 1st world freaking exited man
Nice, dude!
They're definitely a species you won't regret getting! 😄
Daaaaaaaamn! That spider's got booty!
Is that a snake skin just kicking on the floor?????
I’m getting a pet snake so what would you recommend for me to do?
Rip for the fem darlingi
I first read Ceratogyrus as "Ceratosaurus".
I've been watching too many videos of The Isle.
lol when she left she he said oh shit
It's ok still loved the vid
You should use a soft make-up brush to get sp00ders to their other enclosure--
I just bought a juvenile Togo Starburst and I’m curious if anybody has any tips on feeding, care, etcetera

is it still in the house?
if it is
just burn the house down
