Jimmy Greaves' achievements will never be equalled. He's the greatest English striker of all time bar none.
He now shares his Tottenham throne with Kane
@@yonatangoldin3457kane
@@yonatangoldin3457what? Lmaooo he won the FA cup twice and the league once also won what was the Europa league back then! What has Harry Kane won? 0

Pat Jennings is also one of the truest, finest gentlemen ever to grace the game.

Best English goalie ever

The way Hoddle was wasted by England during the 1980s was criminal.
Olayinka Amara less England caps than Phil Neville. Says it all. One of the greatest English players of all time. I personally think he was the best ever.
It's a shame he did the same to Le Tissier when he was England manager
@@wayneconway1 nah Greaves shoot with both feet and head the ball he was complete striker , England hated flare players back then
Moussa Sissoko?
He might need a bit more time.
😂
Aniket Kamble Steven pienaar
Helder Postiga will always be king of the lane.
Who needs Bale when you've got Sissoko?
How did Gary Mabbot and Steve Perryman not make the honorable mentions at least?🤔
Greaves
Hoddle
Gazza
Mackay
Blanchflower
Bale
Jennings
R.I.P Jimmy Greaves
Hoddle should have been number one. One of the most underrated players ever. There haven't been that many players in the history of football that could do what he could.
The author has said, according to recent Tottenham's fans poll, and including me, he was number 1. This list belongs to the author, although we still can argue.
How many times did you see Jimmy Greaves play?
Watch footage of Jimmy Greaves 356 top flight goals and he retired at 31 , heavy ball, shit pitches , brutal tackles he had to face.
Lineker shouldn't be in the honourable mentions more of a Leicester City legend in my opinion. I'd remove him for somebody like Bobby Smith, Martin Chivers or Teddy Sheringham.
Love the channel mate. Keep up the good work 👍
Thanks Charles!
Jimmy Greaves is the best striker England has ever produced
What about the great Ossy Ardiles
why is that a lot of players played for chelsea and Tottenham
Diego Maradona should be in honorable mentions because he played for Tottenham in a testimonial match against Inter Milan 1986. :)
Hoddle gave number 10 jersey to the GOAT in that match, although the GOAT largely played as forward. Hoddle played as the true no. 10 playmaker.
Maradona is certainly not the GOAT- the most overrated sportsman, since reality doesn't match the myths. Argentina achieved more without him in his career and his faults and failings are usually ignored. In fact, in spite of his exciting talent and contrary to received wisdom (and astonishingly to many), he is barely top 10
Excellent list. Bale was brilliant for Spurs but I agree about the importance of longevity with a club. Young uns can learn about the likes of Blanchflower, Mackay and Jones and even the more recent Jennings- all among the best British players (and probably better than Hoddle overall, imo, though I suppose it's reasonable to have Hoddle high on a purely Spurs list.) Greaves was a great scorer for Chelsea too, at a better goal per game ratio, yet is usually overlooked on Chelsea lists. Do you have a Chelsea list? Ron Burgess, John White, Bobby Smith, Alan Gilzean (sadly neglected these days, selfless creator for Spurs, having been a prolific scorer in Scotland- check him out), Martin Chivers, Steve Perryman, Jurgen Klinsmann, Teddy Sheringham and Luka Modric deserve honourable mentions.
Jimmy Greaves is one of, if not the best striker of all time.
True.
Greaves, White, Blanceflower, Mackay, Cliff Jones, Jennings, or anyone from Gasgoine, Klinsmann, Hoddle, Ardilles.
wait for a moment~!! son will come in... with a trophy~
Where's Stuart nethercott?? What an awesome defender
Ledley king? What a leader
Sorry but not having gary lineaker and jurgen klinsmann in this 7 is a crime
Lineker spent only 3 seasons with Spurs and makes the honourable mentions. Klinsmann spent just a season and a half at WHL, no way he can be included.
Lineker did more in one season at Everton than he ever did at Spurs.
+HITC
I still think Lineker is a product of Leicester City, that made him called for England in WC 1986.
You should also mention John White
Cannot argue with that list at all.
Sol Campbell, defoe, ardiles, gazza, kane, Lineker, jennings
Sol Campbell lmfaoooo
Initially, I was asking who else was better than Hoddle after you mentioned Gascoigne, Danny Blanchflower and Dave McKay.
I forgot their most prolific striker.
However as you said, according to recent Spurs's fans poll, Hoddle is the greatest. I am with the fans poll. :)
but modern polls usually favour more recent players; there is a lot of ignorance
R.I.P Greaves
Started supporting Spurs in 1981
My list from then not in any order.
Hoddle
Ardiles
Defoe
Clive Allen
Bale
Klinsmann
Campbell
Lineker
Gascoigne
Ginola
Berbatov
Modric
Keane
Waddle
Kane
Son
16 players that stand out from all the others for me.
No Steve Perryman?
Bergotov 😂
@@nicomus1c
You've put Berbatov like I'd forgotten to include him or that he is your number one choice.
I have him on my list but as much as I liked him Gascoigne, Klinsmann and Bale are my top 3 players. Probably in that order if I had to place them.
@@kb9072 no I said it cause u misspelt his name lol it’s Berbatov
@@nicomus1c
Oh, ok, changed it. Thanks.
There is some fine history just we went down hill in recent years. Coys
So, Gazza gets in based on 3 seasons, but Kane doesn't after 4 great seasons? Not saying I disagree, but the rules you set yourself in not counting Kane you broke to include Gazza.
Darryl Hilder gazza won something in those three seasons tho
Gazza won a trophy (FA Cup) and came fourth in Ballon d'Or voting during his time with Spurs, Kane hasn't won a trophy yet. Granted there's not much in it, and Kane will overtake Gazza if he stays beyond this season, but I don't think we broke any rules Darryl.
+HITC
Imo, Kane should be compared to Greaves, not Gascoigne.
Ah but Bale was player of the year in England twice with Spurs and so good he became the world's most expensive player, so since you include Gazza I'm having second thoughts about Bale's exclusion. And Gazza's Ballon d'Or placing was mainly due to the world cup
Gazza had 4 seasons, but yes, I think Kane should be above him.
COYS
Do One for Barcelona!
Cruyff, Messi, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Iniesta, Romario & Maradona
My dad took me to see Swindon Town v Brentford in 1992 just so i could see Glenn Hoddle play as player manager. Glenn is the best without debate.
When did Hoddle win the Worthing Cup?
I must have missed it.

Adam Phillip thanks, I thought the Mandela effect was kicking in there, in a good way.
Hoddle didn't win Worthington Cup when he managed Tottenham.. He got us to the final and we got beat by Blackburn
Harry Kane and Heung Min Son should be on the Updated list

Hoddle didn't win the Worthington Cup as spurs manager in 2002 he got to the final as we lost 2-1 to Blackburn

No John White?
Before even watching this - Greaves, Mackay. Hoddle, Perryman, Ardilles, Jennings, Chivers.
Alan Gilzean? Tommy Smith? Both legends.
What about Ron Burgess.?
It’s impossible to make these judgements without being able to have seen every player that ever played for Spurs.
My personal favorite was Dave Mackay by a mile. But I never saw Ron Burgess.
Mundelon thought you were going to tell us how good Jimmy Dimmock was live! COYS
well done, many past greats like Burgess get overlooked these days, including on all-time Welsh lists
How can you leave out allan gilzean
Kane has been the top scorer in the premier a World Cup spurs top scorer for god knows how long yet Gazza gets in before him . Kane has kept them in the top 4 . Oh I,m a scouser and Liverpool fan but Kane is a fantastic player
Modric, Lloris and Klinsmann
90 Football precisely?
Ledley King
What no John White ? Unbelievable to leave him out.
Ricky Villa and the other Argentinian from the 80s are adored by Spurs fans to this day
Hi sg, Ossie Ardiles was the other and he's in the honourable mentions.
+HITC
He is the one who said : "Hoddle was Maradona without pace".
Ricardo Villa commented about Hoddle : "If you want to see how football should be played, watch Hoddle". I agree with Villa. :)
Modern mentions: Defoe and King!
I think you never mentioned Jimmy Greaves till now on this channel too, so yeah...

Celtic was the first to win the European cup not Tottenham
As Mika says, Spurs were the first British club to win a European trophy (which is what we said), but Celtic were the first to win the European Cup.
I smell bulshit 💩💩💩💩💩💩
Time to change your nappy then
They are Scottish
Glenn Hoddle never won nothing as spurs manager we were beaten in the Worthington cup in 2002.

ledley king??????
Hi Logan, he's in the honourable mentions.
HITC Sevens i saw. but as a tottenham fan we agree as a collective group that he was our best ever player. rest of the list is fine. just move everyone back one kicking gazza off & making king #1
Ha, I'm a big fan but I'm not having Ledley King over Jimmy Greaves. All about opinions though Logan, he's certainly a Spurs great.

Sol Campbell?
No because he’s a nonce.
wtf this is bs
Son and Harry kane should be number 1 and 2

None can touch bergkamp, henry or viera ....
Bergkamp's favorite player was Glenn Hoddle who is at no.2 in this list. He learned much from Hoddle when he was teenager.
