I’m going to a music festival in September down in Franklin, TN.. I’m not able to walk or stand for that many hours so I’ll need to rent some sort of mobility chair/scooter.. Would this be good for being outside in the heat for 12hrs and can it handle a lot of hilly grass and gravel?
Hi Corrie, the previous version of the Model C2--the Model Ci--may be available for rent in TN. The Model Ci would be great for an event like this. It can safely go up to 10 degree inclines and travel across grass and gravel. Please contact our friends at Scootaround.com for availability. Thanks
I had an extremely unpleasant experience when the battery of my wheelchair died after only a few months of use. Despite the fact that the wheelchair was quite expensive, WHILL informed me that they only offer a six-month warranty on the battery, which I consider to be entirely unreasonable.
I had the same problem with my battery 6 months warranty on the battery and on the 7 month it will not charge. I’m in Australia and they want $1500 for a new battery it’s disgusting the way they treat people shame on you whill and back your product.
That’s the problem with Australia the big organisations bang you in the ass and then you got the smaller stores that deal with the disabled that completely screw you for all the money they can get out of you and the government let’s it happen.
yes. Aidacare are the Australian distributors. Pls dont expect great sales service after you hand over your $$ tho. Although that may deppend on what state you are in.
Hi, thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we're sorry for the confusion. The Model C2's top speed is in fact 5 mph. We will get that spec updated on our website shortly. Thank you!
As a disabled person, one thing that really annoys me is that all the different aids and devices are demonstrated by fit, often quite young and totally able bodied people. I’ve had my mobility scooter serviced and returned with certain parts unnecessarily over tightened and they’ve had to readjust them for my weaker grip.
Great chair. Massive pain if you are not able to lift heavy weights. Wheel chair lift next to impossible to fit so only buy if you can 1. spend many $$$ and pay fabricator to help with wheel chair lift or 2. have someone to help who has no problem bending over & picking up many Kgs worth.
So someone has to bend over and put the foot plate up? Sooooo much bending in this video! And where does one put a backpack? The underseat storage is great, but if you live in a chair you need much more. And think about heading to the airport in that - no backpack is a big problem. You all keep sending me info and I keep looking at your offerings, but it is like my local "senior center" meant for "active seniors". As a wheelie, that just isn't me.
That's a great question. With other chairs, many people will place their backpack straps over the back support cushion, but this can also cause odd pressure points on the person's back. With the Model Ci2, "bat ears" are designed into the back support cover. It's not only an aesthetically pleasing design, but very functional. It allows backpack straps to remain off the cushion and securely held in place so it doesn't slide off. We also offer a Side Bag that straps onto either armrest and has two pockets to keep items you need to access frequently, such as your phone, wallet, and keys. Regarding the footplate, it is a manual action. Because the Model Ci2 is a portable device, adding a power function to lift the footplate would add weight and affect its portability. If you have any other questions, please give us a call. We'd love to get your feedback and address any other concerns you may have. Side note: Matt is 6'4" tall
Hi! Im just surfing around and found this; theres a backpack hanger on the back of the seat, and the footplate can be raised with foot (if able) while seated.
We got a whill c2 paid $8500 for it the battery has a 6 month warranty on the 7 month battery won’t charge anymore .to replace the battery it will cost $1500 I find this disgusting why don’t you back your product shame on Whill I would not buy one again.

It handles varied terrain very well, but I find the battery drains very quickly, especially in the heat. I often bring the charger with me.

I see Whill did not reply to this comment. Where is the award winning customer service Whill ? 🤔

@@terry-lu7qhThat price is criminal. The battery is $549 in the USA.

So glad the controls are on just one side now. They probably got input for someone who uses a wheelchair
Can this drive through sand and gravel?
NO
Is the Whill model C2 available in Australia? It looks just perfect for our needs.

Do you have a USB port to charge my phone?
Hi Ronald, the Model C2 does not have a USB charging port for personal electronic devices.
@@WHILLUS Why?
I like to buy this one.I'm a srilankan .so,how can I buy this ?
Why do you say the max speed is 5mph when the Whill website says its 4mph? Thats a significant % difference.

I want to like it, but it sits too low for my liking. Don't want to feel like I'm sitting on the floor.
