  • Hey everyone!
Hope you're all well and hydrated. Yes, it's quite ironic for me to present a lesson on modes when I'm pretty much anti-modes. However, I believe they make a good reference point for tonalities and should be explored, at least on a surface level. In this video, I give you one simple way to practice and implement the modes into your shed routine.
Much love to everyone who has checked out my new album and shown me love. Much appreciated! For those of who haven't check it out yet, be sure to do so!

Going through the video I've found another way to sort all the "C scales": each note of the chromatic scale is part of 7 different major scales with roots starting a perfect 5th above, following the circle of 4ths until reaching its b2.
C is part of the following major scales: G-C-F-Bb-Eb-Ab-Db
Then, the relative "C scales" are sorted by "brightness", from C Lydian (relative of G major) all the way down to C locrian (relative of Db major), changing one note at a time.

      You are not alone
      I am here with you
      Though you're far away
      Lalalalala... ;)
      (I - vi - ii - V progression...)
Luckily, there are lots of less advanced lessons from Anthony! "ARE YOU DONE WITH THE MAJOR SCALE?" is one of the "right ones" for me. If only because the answer is a big "NO!".
