The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination. The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. Once we accept our limits, we go beyond them. Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one and Jack loves to eat Silica Gel, its what he loves to eat. I've said all I can for now. Jack is the key to all this, remember and believe.
Absolutely I just commented that they may have come up with an awesome idea to try and incorporate some gopro action in pro ice hockey player headgear for more intense action.
Yeah the headphones are only useful for making red marks on your head. I honestly wonder how he worked out like that without being uncomfortable in them.
Basically something that claims to have an effect but really doesn't. Purely psychological. Mostly used by doctors because it can help in the treatment process, believe it or not
I had to scroll too much to find this comment, to hell with the headphones, are Canadians this god at hokey? like is this average for canadians as soccer for mexicans?

AlphaOmega look up studies in neuroscience, you ever see those little stickers they put on peoples heads? those do the same thing. this is just a lot more consumer friendly, and cheaper quite frankly.
i think there was a reason he said too look it up lol as in he is too lazy too do it on his own(i completely understand that stance) thus saying look i am not going to prove it too you if you care enough google is a click away.
Aleksije Vujovic I never seen headphones like that and I don't even care to bother finding headphones like that, when I'm going to the gym I rather sticking with my Powerbeats³
I am a scientist (although not a neuroscientist) and I can tell you that this is just a gimmick. The only way to alter ones brain chemistry in a profound manner is to apply a rather strong current on certain areas of the brain. A feat that is not achievable with this headset (it doesn't even cover the entire skull - keep in mind that this in necessary). Furthermore listening to music actually distracts you from whatever it is that you're trying to do (unless you listen to piano music or percussive music, that is - those are the only types of music which don't distract our subconsciousness). Our brains are hardwired to focus our attention on speech. So whenever you listen to a song which vocals your brain automatically gets distracted. It's an evolutionary remnant that once ensured our survival.
AntonioKowatsch When ever I listen to music while doing sports or playing video games I get distracted by the music and my mind just wonders off and I'm just imagining things in my head and not know what is going while I play and I actually do stuff better
@AntonioKowatsch You're a scientist, not a neuroscientist - like you said. You say stimulation is needed in certain areas of the brain but then you contradict yourself by saying that the entire skull needs to be covered. The primary motor cortex, which is responsible for generating neural impulses that control the execution of movement, is located in the frontal lobe of the brain, directly under where a headband conjoining two airphones would rest. This is the area needing to be stimulated in which these headphone could easily target.
HA! Have you tried TDCS? I've used it for a couple years and get a huge anti-depressive benefit out of it. Plus, there are over 2k studies in pudmed showing it's cognitive benefits with no known negative side effects. It's been around with plenty of studies on students and used in the military. (Though..I wouldn't invest in this particular unit though because it's overpriced and you're stuck to it's particular montages.)
Awesome that it works for you, dude. TDCS has been shown to be a valid treatment for depression, as has been reported in peer-reviewed scholarly journals. But the proven benefits of TDCS aren't necessarily in line with the claims this product is making. The manufacturers of this product claim that it "helps you achieve accelerated improvements in strength, skill, speed, and endurance." Of these benefits, TDCS offers none. They also say that the scientific process this device uses is referred to as "Neuropriming," but Googling it only returns their company website and articles about this exact product. It's pure false advertising and psuedoscience.
Fair enough. Neuropriming is definitely a made up marketing term. And yes they performed their own studies for their sports claims (which they talked about on the Ben Greenfield podcast), so you have to take that with a grain of salt since they're also selling the product. All I was saying is that TDCS itself is not bogus, that's fairly clear at this point and I wouldn't be surprised if stimulating certain or reducing electricity of certain parts of the brain actually do provide an effect of decreased pain (meaning you can work out harder) or things like improved coordination, etc. Seems more likely than not from a regular tdcs user. But to each their own! Also I really like the felt tip looking spike delivery system they designed to send electricity to the scalp through hair, that is pretty hard to do with the sponges I've used with even a little bit of hair. To anyone reading this, I would personally recommend visiting the reddit tdcs community, esp if you have depression, there are some great success stories there, myself included. Also, Thanks for answering thoughtfully and respectfully, instead of the typical ignorant youtube comments. :P
Henry M. I'm pretty sure it is. And when he said "connectivity" he meant conductivity, as in the water helps in conducting the electricity. I just don't see this being more than overpriced garbage, placebo ugly looking headphones. And who the hell wants to have to soak their headphones in water before using them...not me. "Neural plasticity" I'm sure that's a word the company asked him to throw around a bit. How the hell is a few conductive spikes and power from a shitty headphone battery going to change the way your brain work. And the "amplitude" changes how loud music/ vibrations are, but I'm sure they've infused it with some radioactive isotope or something...
Lol. Neural plasticity. I learned all about this after my TBI. I also don't see any correlation between these headphones and neural plasticity, of course referring to the brain because it is about neurons. Neural plasticity/brain plasticity refers to the brain's ability to restructure itself to accommodate for changing circumstances. For example, the neural plasticity of my brain allows me to transfer tasks that would have normally been the duty of a different part of the brain instead to another part, giving that part extra work. Basically, the ability for the brain to, again, accommodate for changing circumstances and learning new things is generally what's referred to as it's plasticity. It has nothing to do with "stimulations" of the brain.
I was wondering if anyone else had spotted that! Glad I scrolled through the comments before leaving one of my own :) - yeah after seeing those very clear and obvious red markings on his head I don't think buying those headphones are a very good idea.
GamerGab007 yea u wanna play ice hockey now but once you realise you're in a match and you've just had your log sliced open by the ice skates... yea really wanna play😂👀
Not necessarily true. There is a bit of a placebo effect but the same can be said about everything to a degree. Electrostimulation of nerves on the head can be very effective at changing outlooks attitudes attentiveness and other aspects. However, a caveat to that is it doesn't make huge changes or impacts merely helps the process along. Sometimes that little bit of help is what gets you over a mental wall. Do t discount it unless you've tried it and know it doesn't work for you. Also that being said I'm not entirely sure how effective this particular product is but I have used others like it.
Gravedigga63 actually it'll work because your brain will imprint the movements in because it'll remember you did it while you were wearing those dumb ass headphones with spikes last time you did it. It's like chewing the same flavor gum when studying as you do while taking the test
SA There are tons of devices out there that attempt to validate their worth by claiming "science" and "research". As an example, have you seen terrible infomercials that try to pull this? Well these headphones certainly seem to fall under that useless gimmick territory, except now you're paying A LOT for them.
Brick Tamland Personally I would never consider buying this (even if it would have cost $75), and I have spend thousands on headphones, IEM's and headphone related components. With these headphones the audio takes the backseat to some vague claims of brain stimulation = better sports performance.
Can Turkleton look up studies in neuroscience, you ever see those little stickers with wires they put on peoples heads? they do the same thing. these are just a lot more consumer grade.
***** It isn't placebo. It is funny how just because you have never heard of something you assume it is false. Are you a neuroscientist? No. Are you even a scientist? No. There is a lot evidence by this company and strengthening the motor cortex in general. You are the idiot. And what country are you from? Because it seems like you are insulting americans, which is funny because we most likely give you military aid and if we went to war you probably would be begging for america's help.
Hunter ... seeing as you subscribe to the Alex Jones channel is all I need to understand where you're coming from lol. Just take it as a compliment that this company knows their consumer well enough to predict there would be a gullible market. there is ZERO scientific research to verify the efficacy of this product. It is brilliant marketing, I'll give you that. Go buy one... go buy 10 of them. I won't be buying, but I might invest in some stock because clearly they've hit the nail on the head with a market full of Trump voters hahaha. To answer your ridiculous nationality and allegiance accusations: I'm American and my statement about Americans being stupid doesn't make me less American, it makes me observant and honest. As for military aid... you should be thanking and respecting me you civilian piece of shit...but I digress. The military has always been and will continue to be a thankless sacrifice for myself and my brothers and sisters who give much of ourselves to secure a country that used to be great. I have every right to criticize the intelligence of the people who were born here. Being American simply means that you fell out of a vagina on territory we deem American soil. If you pay your taxes, then you've earned the right to have a bit of pride about the "greatness" of America. none of that changes the fact that if you buy a product like this WITHOUT scientific evidence for efficacy and a margin of improvement which can be duplicated in an experient.... then you remain gullible and quite frankly... a dumb American.
+Jonathan Dunlop no not placebo, this sort of tech has been used by doctors and neuroscientists for a while its just become commercially available for the first time
This channel really has the potential to be a great "chill" channel. I just hope that he reduces the amount of sponsored videos, They are really killing this channel. This video was a quality video btw.
hole - 1st drill press channel No normal company would want to produce such a thing because if everybody has one they not gonna sell much new headphones.
This product makes you fool i guess like parents use to do when we were small. When we make excuses of being sick and parents use to give us something and saying its a medicine. And we think that its a medicine and makes us feel good after eating it. This product also does the same thing i guess thinking about this product use makes us feel like its doing something in us in reality it's only a headphone with fancy attachments. (aka placebo effect)
you could have just said something like "this product is just the placebo effect". But i guess writing an entire paragraph of barely intelligible English works too.
Honestly bro, ur hockey skills are way more impressive than those odd headphones. Was a cool video to watch just seeing u and ur buddies practicing hockey. I rarely see you guys out of the recording studio.

It's nothing more than a PLACEBO effect!😂😂😂
*probably
Yourantsally *Definitely
Source or reasoning?
Wow he skates better than I can ever skate
Canadians: "Fuck it, let's go to the rink"
Nick Tan True
Who else thinks that this is BS and the headphones don't actually do anything or unnoticeable difference?
KPET true its probably makes you think its doing something when its not
SA There are tons of devices out there that attempt to validate their worth by claiming "science" and "research". As an example, have you seen terrible infomercials that try to pull this? Well these headphones certainly seem to fall under that useless gimmick territory, except now you're paying A LOT for them.
KPET agree, if this was remotely true. It would be all over the news!
snake oil for audiophiles? you're kidding me...
Brick Tamland Personally I would never consider buying this (even if it would have cost $75), and I have spend thousands on headphones, IEM's and headphone related components. With these headphones the audio takes the backseat to some vague claims of brain stimulation = better sports performance.
I mean, the selling point isn't supposed to be the audio quality, it's the brain stimulation stuff. Definitely not something aimed at audiophiles.
My pet tomato died a second ago
Like for him ;(
Vemzy like
ur mums fat
rip lil' mato
Vemzy u can have me as ur new pet! xf
Max Barrett that's not very nice
I feel like its Placebo if anything :D
Can Turkleton look up studies in neuroscience, you ever see those little stickers with wires they put on peoples heads? they do the same thing. these are just a lot more consumer grade.
for sure there's no way a wet haircomb helps you with sports
who did you expect SPORTAFLOP
Nah bruh, those are for reading brainwaves, not for inducing anyhing
Well they do work. I have a pair and they have been studies in double blind placebo trials
So this thing is like the chair off of The Green Mile? Make sure to wet the sponge.........WET THE SPONGE.
Duckie lol 😂😂
that's what I was thinking haha

The Maniac holy shit yeah it looks like his head is bleeding o.o
The ManiacTHATS WHAT I SAID
Owlero O.o
iiHasCookies 0.o
yeah wtf??
"These seem cool, how much is it?"
"oh."
I'd call it snake oil until a peer review study can prove otherwise and a waste of money.
I own a pair and they are legit. I can put 15 lbs more on bench with ease after using these
It's cleverly marketed placebo effect at best. Funny thing is.. it will be huge. Americans will buy the shit out of it. You watch.
If you pay your taxes, then you've earned the right to have a bit of pride about the "greatness" of America. none of that changes the fact that if you buy a product like this WITHOUT scientific evidence for efficacy and a margin of improvement which can be duplicated in an experient.... then you remain gullible and quite frankly... a dumb American.
b
Is this what Lucio uses?
Rainbow Bacon *I NEED HEALING*
it's litterally just headphones with spikes on them...
its not, theres some pretty advanced tech going on inside the headphones
JustAnotherPerson You seem like an expert. Could you go into more detail about the science behind these headphones?
+Ron Wolf it would take too long it's pretty complicated but I suggest visiting the halo website they explain it all, its a pretty interesting read
+Jonathan Dunlop no not placebo, this sort of tech has been used by doctors and neuroscientists for a while its just become commercially available for the first time
Don't just parrot the bullshit advertisers use to promote their products. Do your own research.
Love how I can search something I just heard about randomly and this guy already made a vid
That's extreme hand eye coordination, very extreme. Nice camera work too.

impressive ice skating skills
6:15 looks really comfortable.
looks like a medieval torture device
This product makes you fool i guess like parents use to do when we were small. When we make excuses of being sick and parents use to give us something and saying its a medicine. And we think that its a medicine and makes us feel good after eating it. This product also does the same thing i guess thinking about this product use makes us feel like its doing something in us in reality it's only a headphone with fancy attachments. (aka placebo effect)
Vaibhav Thamman aka placebo effect
you could have just said something like "this product is just the placebo effect". But i guess writing an entire paragraph of barely intelligible English works too.
The Placebo Effect
Honestly bro, ur hockey skills are way more impressive than those odd headphones. Was a cool video to watch just seeing u and ur buddies practicing hockey. I rarely see you guys out of the recording studio.
Dammn!!! Those Hockey skills though!!! :O
