Just watched it. Pretty crazy the old days. When I was watching video I came across Danny Ainge throwing the ball from the baseline into Mario Ellie’s head while him and Olajuwon were celebrating. Insane stuff.
Jordan is an excellent businessman, even though he "failed" in Charlotte to win or even design a good team. Did Ainge set up the Celtics for their current dominance? He was the exec. director up until three years ago. I guess you could say yes because he hired and promoted Brad Stevens.
I think you have to give credit to Ainge for getting the draft picks and drafting Tatum and Brown. He got them most of the way there and Stevens took them home.
Ill bet Michael secretly LOVEd any player who could match his intensity. Just like how kobe wanted artest to join him after they scrapped in the 09 playoffs
Jordan is my guy ! But even Jordan knew not to pick a fight with Danny. Danny was a scrapper. He brought 7'1 Tree Rollins to the ground to fight him after a Cheaper Shot elbow to head. Danny was a Major League Baseball Player for 3 years with the Toronto Blue Jays before he joined the Celtics in 1982. He was a REAL brawler.
Great, interesting video! Ainge was a great athlete, and by all accounts, a really good guy. Nicely told story.
I learned a lot about Ainge. I didn’t know he was on Blue Jays. What a competitor.
I dont know if Ainge is a hall of famer, but damn did he hold his own with all the legends in Boston.
It’s pretty crazy. He really threw himself into it. Not a wait and see guy.
He's not in the Hall of Fame, but he was still an amazing player
@@Courtside-Storiesexcellent way of putting it!
@@glen7137 sometimes we need to just appreciate that there is a lot of greatness at the professional level.
Great video man! Love to see you doing well!
Appreciate the love! It’s hard work that I enjoy. Wish I had more time to create!
Both teams played hard ma man
Always
One time in the playoffs, danny held mj to 63 points
Loved how Danny was like pray for him to miss.
Thats hilarious
Ainge...was an athlete...with HEART.
Totally. I think that made him stand out. I don’t think he has much of career without that.

Danny 3 sports.........unassuming
So wild. Imagine being that skilled you have to choose your pro path.@@Edwin-fb7my
Ainge fought 7.1 Tree Rollins! Danny was an animal
Super crazy to see him take down a guy so much bigger than him. Not taking any crap from anyone.
My favorite Danny Ainge memory was when sedalle threat knocked him the f*ck out 😂

Do you know what a knockout is?! 😂. Might want to go back and watch the UA-cam video your referencing. Definitely not a knockout, a daze at best
My favorite Danny Ainge memory was when he inbounded the ball and Mario Elie's face got in the way of the ball

I think so. Just having him golf with him feels like a nod. I honestly feel like Jordan and Ainge would make a good White Man Can’t Jump Cast
@@Courtside-Stories yes

I think Jordan would have liked Pete rose too
@@stevencoardvenice I’ve never thought about that and it’s a great call. I’d love to hear some gambling story involving the two of them.
Basketball: Jordan
Baseball: ainge
Street fight: ainge...
Great take.
Aingle great he challenged Jordan mentally
It was cool to see someone able to rise up to him and not back down. Jordan was so ruthless so that was fun to see.

He was thrown on the ground like a bag of potatoes by Montcrief though
I love hearing the stories and the behind the scenes stuff. Two incredible competitors and athletes.
That will happen.
Ainge would do a single leg take down on donkey green and elbow his face before the ref arrived
@@antenanashiyes he got ragdolled LATER. But he struck first. The point is he wasn't a p$$y
