You said it very, very well. It's nice to read a truthful remark that isn't filled with hostility. I like how you have all the facts, opinions of your own and they go together seamlessly. Great post!!
If you don't remember Vinnie Vincent and you don't know who he is you're not a real Kiss fan. I'm 14 years old and I know who he is and he's my favourite Kiss member of all time!!!
I agree 100%. But that is also what makes him so sad. He was the total package: singer, songwriter, musician. He could have been legendary. Unfortunately, he is his own worst enemy. He also has a reputation in the music business as a pretty seedy character. A lot of other rockers who knew Vinnie back in the day don't have very nice things to say about him. It's a shame. He could have been one of the greats.
Vinnie brought KISS back to relevance. He wrote practically all of Creatures and he had worked with them for years under the name Vincent Cusano. I love KISS but he was yet another member Simmons crapped on. I loved Vinnies Invasion stuff as well. I wish him the best and wish he would come out of hiding and do more material.
VV awesome songwriter .There's a video where he does a kiss tribute of all his kiss songs and hires another lead guitarist to cover all his solos as they were recorded .Now that is a sense of humor .He got past the shred thing and just played RHYTHM guitar !
Dam Vinnie was such a great guitarist and his band Vinnie Vincent Invasion was so crazy good his album all systems go is a must have album no matter what.
As if nobody knew who Vinnie is ... lol He wrote and performed songs with KISS from 1982 up until 1994 even though he wasn't in the band by then he wrote material on the Revenge album. Great guitarist weird guy :)
I love how the Crue can be heard in the background! The Motleys are everywhere! Watch your back, sleep with the lights on, shower in your clothes! We'll be watching!
Absolutely amazing guitarist. As a huge KISS fan, I would have liked to see him stay in KISS as he was a great replacement for Ace. Too bad they had all the ego clashes and attitude problems. I personally will always prefer the 4 original members, but I also admit that Eric Carr was their best drummer and Vinnie was exceptionally good and the best they've had since Ace.
DYNAMIC,VERSATILE, MELODIC PURE GENIUS ARE SOME WORDS TO DESCRIBE VINNIE VINCENT, ROBERT FLEISHMAN & BOBBY ROCK. ROBERT FLEISHMAN IS A POWERFUL VOCALIST- VERY UNDERRATED! BOBBY IS A KILLER DRUMMER...
One thing that Vinnie had going for him was that he helped Kiss get back on track twice with "Creatures of the night" and with "Revenge" But let's face it, you're shooting yourself in the head if you do not heed to the rules, he never renewed his contract and thus couldn't be insured when he was touring, so if he fell ill for example they couldn't even pay his treatment because in legal terms he wasn't even in the band since there's no contract with his name on it.
Years gone by and the time can show us who is who. Today is so CLEAR that Paul/Gene´s ego fired him out like they did with Mark, Bruce, Peter and Ace. Vinnie Vincent is AMAZING guitar player and i´m waiting him to set your mind and soul on the LIGHT and come back to his real place -> On the Stage.
Nigel Ciera Certainly that is not the point. You can look back through the years and clearly see who is who in the really. Gene and Paul can treat anyone like a option, unkind, with no respect. They treate ex band mates like shit, not like human being. The greatest question is: How much about true a fan can admit ?? plz, don´t believe in fairy tales, biographys, "storys", more books or santa claus ... You understand what i´m trying to mean ?? Behind the curtain, we can find many REAL dark "HISTORYS" That is my point. Sry my bad english
I hate to say it, but a little of kiss fans are stupid. They hate on Vinnie, even though he saved kiss 's career. and to prove my point the girl you asked about Vinnie, she replied do I look that old? while she was wearing a shout at the devil shirt. which came out the same year as lick it up.....lol
Actually, you've got an excellent point there. Vinnie's contributions to "Creatures Of The Night" did save the band, literally. He also contributed, to a lesser extent, to "Revenge." I think if Vinnie and KISS showed each other more respect, things would've been better between them. Heck, Vinnie might've even lasted a lot longer with the band, and KISS would've been happier to have him.
+Charles Elliott it's kind of sad that they didn't get along all that well. To be fair alot of people that worked with Vinnie said he was unbearable...lol but still he was very talented. Gene has even said he was the most talented guitar player he's ever seen. again it's sad because it makes you wonder about what they could've accomplished together...
I do agree with you on rock music now a days. I'm not a VV hater. Not one bit. Now I'm not a fan of 10 min guitar solos but that's because I'm a drummer, but I don't really even like super super long drum solos. VV did crazy things, even in his first album with VVI. Long crazy solos, even in the song Animal. He's soloing even after the song is over.
Im 20 years old and I even know Vinnie Vincent. I honestly don't believe Kiss kicked him out because they were scared. They kicked him out because the dude was nuts. He never signed the contract, so technically he was never a Kiss member. He felt everything was wrapped around him. He felt the need to solo every 3 seconds. A band is like a team, you're only as good as all the other band members. I like Vinnie, don't get me wrong. Amazing guitarist, just wasn't right for Kiss
I agree. So many think of Tommy as the Spaceman and even though Tommy is a great guitarist, he is NOT Ace. KISS really should've created new characters for him and Eric. But they went for the nostalgia.
Vinnie never signed a contract which meant he was technically never a member of the band, which means his "Wiz" character is not really a KISS character either. And if he was so great, don't you think he would have had a career after KISS? Oh yeah, he did. He's been suing them all these years. And lost every case.
I love Ace, and in my mind he is the true KISS guitarist, but Vinnie should've at least been given the credit to be on the COTN album cover. Bruce never should've been on it when it was rereleased.
Vinnie was never on the cover. The original cover had Ace and then in 1985 they reissued it with a picture of the then-current band with Bruce Kulick. The only copies that do have Vinnie on the cover are bootlegs.
to funny. my brother had Vinnie Vincent invasion cd and stuff. i know about Vinnie the egyption rocker. i make tons of kiss vids myself. if you care to see. snowboarind down the mts in kiss outfits. on volcanoes. expo videos. concert videos. guitar stuff. just learning. but i show my kiss guitars and boots etc. hello from mt hood Oregon usa. my profile pic is from my new peter criss snowboard video.
These people don't remember Vinnie Vincent, because they don't know anything about KISS at all. These are the types of people that go to modern day KISS shows. This is how Gene and Paul get away with fake Ace and fake Peter, because these people have no clue. As far as they know, the band they're seeing is the original KISS. I'm not even a KISS fan, yet I've FORGOTTEN more about them than these folks know about them. By the way, what indian casino or amusement park were KISS playing at this time? They used to play Dodger stadium and Madison Square Garden.
the BIGGEST mistake Vinnie ever did was embracing cheesy glam-metal after "leaving/being fired from" Kiss (whatever), he had the potential and technique for speed-metal, his career would have survived in the '90s had he played METAL
I know you're not a VV hater. Some people like long solos, some people are not into it. Perhaps he's mad, but his talent is undeniable. Music was his passion. All creative geniuses are a bit mad. Edgar Allan Poe drank himself to death. Axl Rose was undeniably wild and crazy, as well. Most of us are too average to pay the price for a talent It was a good chat. Stay cool.
VINNIE VINCENT INVASION (ALBUM) WITH "ROBERT FLEISHMAN" (VOCALS) & "BOBBY ROCK" (DRUMS) IS THE BEST LINE UP! I GIVE THIS ALBUM A 10/10. ALL VINNIE NEEDS TO DO IS GET THESE 2 GUYS BACK. FORGET ABOUT SLAUGHTER---THEY ARE BEYOND A JOKE PERIOD!
Vinnie was the most talented guitar dude Kiss ever had, and I'm a die-hard fan since the 70's. Not that I like him, but I'm a musician too, and recognize what's actually there. Vinnie must have been a turd. His next band all quit to go be Slaughter.
He was such a turd that he was dropped by the two labels that signed him after he was kicked out of KISS. His first label, Chrysalis Records, dropped him because he spent a fortune recording and rerecording his albums. According to Rolling Stone magazine, he practically bankrupted the label. He spent all this label money recording his albums and he didn't sell enough albums for them to recoup their money. And as for the label he signed with after he was dropped by Chrysalis Records, Enigma Records, he used the label's money to record an album and then shopped it around to other labels hoping to get a better deal than the one Enigma gave him. When the label found out about it, they dropped him as well. After that he formed his own label and stiffed thousands of his own fans with the box set. The guy is a disgrace. Everything I said here was reported by Rolling Stone magazine. The article was titled The Long Kiss Goodbye: The Search for Vinnie Vincent.
The only reason Vinnie was ousted from KISS was because he refused to sign his contract. It was not for his lack of talent. The argument was that it would have made him an employee of Gene and Paul but let's face it, that's what he was. KISS was their band. I couldn't join a band today and tell the members how to run it. I'd be a hired gun and would have to accept that or move on.
I would do anything for a new KISS album with Ace Frehley or Vinnie Vincent. I would give anything to hear a 10 minute solo from either. Rock stars have been known for doing crazy things, but long guitar solos are pretty cool. Rock music is too conformist these days, too uniform. Too corporate I wasn't mad. I am on guard of the Vinnie haters. They enjoy partaking in hubris. Check out their slanderous threads towards other fans who happen to disagree. The threads are irrelevant to VV
You can't just have an audience made up of diehards. Half the people at the shows are just casual fans. What's wrong with going to see a band where you don't know every member? The more people in the audience having a good time, the better.
Vinnie had a great talent for writing songs and was a good player. Dana Strum and Mark Slaughter couldn't wait to dump him, just like Paul and Gene. Apparently he had some discipline or personality ticks? Personally, though I liked all the guitarist in KISS, I think Bruce was the best all around talent. Carnival of Souls was basically his project with Paul and Gene adding their names. Invasion was good, Vinnie couldn't keep it together. Slaughter showed it wasn't their fault.
I am the fan that could tell you in volumes what Vinnie Vincent contributed to KISS. He is the best man to fill the shoes of Ace Frehley. All others after failed in comparison. FAILED!!!
No, he was thrown in County Jail for dragging his second wife's face through broken dishes. We can't just go by statistics of domestic violence and murder or disgust for violence. In all fairness, there isn't any evidence that VV had anything to do with the murder of his 1st wife. It's best to be overly objective
i thought vinnie sounded pretty good same with bruce they had their flavor they brought to kiss but tommy doesn't bring anything and i blame paul and gene for it
The Wiz had a lot of raw talent. Sadly, he did not seem to be able to refine and capitalize upon it. Alongside his troublesome attitude and some deeds, it rendered a dangerous, unstable, person that simply could not mesh well in a band.
As silly as this vid is it DOES speak volumes about the current crop of supposed KISS fans and their ignorance. They're all just going for "the show" and not the music.
Chill out dude. I can tell you're just a Kiss hater. I'm not a Vinnie hater, I'm just pointing out facts. VVI? They kickass. But you need to calm yourself
Seriously, Vincent John Cusano is already preparing a sue against the guys involved in this video, and the bald kiss fan in the end do really knows that derranged isn't cusano (almost he should know if he saw them back in the 88 tour) But pretty funny video, only misses fake vincent shotting heroin for Rip magazine
You said it very, very well. It's nice to read a truthful remark that isn't filled with hostility. I like how you have all the facts, opinions of your own and they go together seamlessly. Great post!!

I remember Vinnie Vincent!!! All joking a side, Vinnie is one of the most talented guitarists in the world.
If Vinnie actually made it to the Creatures cover, more folks would remember him.
Vinnie will etternally the best..
Long live to the Warrior
vinnie vincent could so make rocklahoma worth going to...the boys need to rock! the time is now..
i remember you vinny,i saw you with kiss at the tower theater in philly on the lick it up tour.it was killer.
Cool....the ending is a classic!!!! Great job!
Watched this Many Times So Funny! :)
Dam Vinnie was such a great guitarist and his band Vinnie Vincent Invasion was so crazy good his album all systems go is a must have album no matter what.
Of course we remember Vinnie Vincent, he is in the family too even when he was in kiss for att very short period, 1982-1984.
Well, after you hunt babies.
Yes You Have to live like your on Vacation it aint a crime to be good to your self Vinnie will return in other episodes I promise
I remember Vinnie! I had met him along with Eric Carr, Paul Stanley and Gene $immon$ and Vinnie was cool with me. A nice fella.
vinnie was tooooo good for kisss
es una pena que no lo reconocieran por que fue un miembro importante de la banda yo le hubiera pedido su autografo
I remember a Vinnie Vincent Invasion video that I seen once.He had Marshall amps stacked like 10 feet high everywhere.
Uh, why does this have more dislikes than it does likes? I found this hilarious! Great job guys!
awesome..
I want that umbrella!
So true. Not many are real fans.
DYNAMIC,VERSATILE, MELODIC PURE GENIUS ARE SOME WORDS TO DESCRIBE VINNIE VINCENT, ROBERT FLEISHMAN & BOBBY ROCK. ROBERT FLEISHMAN IS A POWERFUL VOCALIST- VERY UNDERRATED! BOBBY IS A KILLER DRUMMER...
Vinnie is alive and well working quality control for the M&M/Mars plant in Hackettstown, New Jersey. He removes all the M&Ms that say "W."
😂 that was amazing.
I suppose...
Charles Elliott how do you know
Vinnie ❤
I do give him credit for writing some good songs with KISS.
Vinnie still rules
i would love to see that video, do you have a link?
Virginia Beach, VA - Verizon Wireless Amp.
Alpine Valley - East Troy, WI?
YOUR FANS ARE WAITING FOR YOU VINNIE. BRING BACK "ROBERT FLEISHMAN" (VOCALS) & "BOBBY ROCK" (DRUMS). ALL THE BEST IN 2014.
This is Hilarious. Love It Bro!
He was the first Ace replacement. That's all he was to me.
for a clearly crazy obsessed fan, im a little disappointed that you didnt even get the makeup right. BRUCE KULICK
"you guys got a hamburger i can borrow or something?" XD oh my god! nice!
One thing that Vinnie had going for him was that he helped Kiss get back on track twice with "Creatures of the night" and with "Revenge"

Vinnie Vincent is Burning Bridges.
Goldust.

Behind the curtain, we can find many REAL dark "HISTORYS"
That is my point.
Sry my bad english
" you guys got a hamburger I can borrow?" hahaha
Vinnie actually wrote music for Happy Days & Joanie Loves Cha Chi-he was talented but came with an ego without earning it.
bro you must be Vinnie Vincent's one and only fan, oh and the dude who remember them too
this guy is obviously the offspring of Vinnie Vincent and Pauly D
Bring back Vinnie, axe Tommy
Maybe you need to get the other issue of Creatures, with Vinnie on the cover. A real KISS fan would know there were 2 covers.

Yeah, you're right. It's a shame, for sure.
That was the Boyz Are Gonna Rock video probably.
Now that Vinnie's finally come back into the public spotlight, I guess he doesn't gotta borrow hamburgers out of garbage bins anymore 😂
I actually like the 1st Invasion album because of the Solos!
awesome video. i also would have paid your way in if you could have been front row center in VV make up.
The Revenge Album He Co Wrote on Too. 😎

Why are you doing a Paul Stanley impression for Vinnie Vincent lol!
I agree. So many think of Tommy as the Spaceman and even though Tommy is a great guitarist, he is NOT Ace. KISS really should've created new characters for him and Eric. But they went for the nostalgia.
he keeps mentioning creatures of the night but Aces face was on the cover and Vinnie only helped on part of the album
As much as i love ace he didn’t play on the album he was on the album and helped promote it but ace was out of the band at that point
Vinnie never signed a contract which meant he was technically never a member of the band, which means his "Wiz" character is not really a KISS character either. Vinnie vincent face should on features of the night
Rick Allen there's a very well done fan made cover with the face of vinnie, go check it out on google images
Alternate Title: Guy Dresses as Vinnie Vincent harasses random people on the streets.
to funny. my brother had Vinnie Vincent invasion cd and stuff. i know about Vinnie the egyption rocker. i make tons of kiss vids myself. if you care to see. snowboarind down the mts in kiss outfits. on volcanoes. expo videos. concert videos. guitar stuff. just learning. but i show my kiss guitars and boots etc. hello from mt hood Oregon usa. my profile pic is from my new peter criss snowboard video.
Dude Vinnie got dumped by his label and the band who went on to form Slaughter with the full support of the label.
Moooother....just broke a bottle of Jack Daniels
Over someone else's head....
Was that Bohemian Rhapsody?
These people don't remember Vinnie Vincent, because they don't know anything about KISS at all. These are the types of people that go to modern day KISS shows. Vinny coulda took kisss to a whole new level. Instead they ripped him off!!
They're a joke that sold more albums than their onetime boss.
does anyone remember that St.John,St.James,?? dude?
he was kicked out of kiss bc he was a loose cannon and would go off on 20 minute guitar solos. nuff said.
Chris Amunet Ezell true check out the Brazil show u could see the disgust on paul and gene’s faces😂 when he starts a solo
Vinnie was the most talented guitar dude Kiss ever had, and I'm a die-hard fan since the 70's. Not that I like him, but I'm a musician too, and recognize what's actually there. Vinnie must have been a turd. His next band all quit to go be Slaughter.

that was not Vinnie Vincent
The only reason Vinnie was ousted from KISS was because he refused to sign his contract. It was not for his lack of talent. I'd be a hired gun and would have to accept that or move on.
Vinnie Vincent should have never been in kiss.
Ace Frehley why
Well at least you got the eating out a dumpster and being ignored correct.
that's 4:43 of my life i'll never get back..
I would do anything for a new KISS album with Ace Frehley or Vinnie Vincent. I would give anything to hear a 10 minute solo from either. Rock stars have been known for doing crazy things, but long guitar solos are pretty cool. Rock music is too conformist these days, too uniform. Too corporate
I wasn't mad. I am on guard of the Vinnie haters. They enjoy partaking in hubris. Check out their slanderous threads towards other fans who happen to disagree. The threads are irrelevant to VV
I guess man.
You can't just have an audience made up of diehards. Half the people at the shows are just casual fans. What's wrong with going to see a band where you don't know every member? The more people in the audience having a good time, the better.
do you guys have a hamburger i can borrow? Lmao!
he never wote the album ace is cover
I thought Vinnie was alright on the lick it up album.
Slaughter showed it wasn't their fault.
hahaha this is funny!!! hilarious!!! sad and true!!!
It's best to be overly objective
i thought vinnie sounded pretty good same with bruce they had their flavor they brought to kiss but tommy doesn't bring anything and i blame paul and gene for it
Vinnie was indeed very talented but HE LEFT KISS. not the other way around
I love kiss and I think Vinnie was better than ace but Tommy is pretty damn good... lol
Chill out dude. I can tell you're just a Kiss hater. I'm not a Vinnie hater, I'm just pointing out facts. VVI? They kickass. But you need to calm yourself
yeah but where is he now...I read somewhere domestic battery, dead dogs, come on...might have been good one day long ago but not now.
