I have a mint one I bought for £60 pounds off marketplace, complete with dedicated flash. The picture quality is superb, and the image stabilisation gives a good 4.5 stop advantage in low light/telephoto usage.I often take it out with a D300/D5100/D3200/D7200 combination, and some of the images produced are superb for such a small sensor.
I paid £350 from an airport for one of these when they came out 😂 or 😢 ❤❤ £20 is more my kind of price! 3 successful semi pro photos in around 100 shots (with the cannon) and 30 successful out of 300 with an iPhone 15 pro. Technology…. You done the canon proud and it’s still half decent today. That zoom is still good compared to a lot of zoom lenses. New subscriber ❤
Thanks for watching! Yeah I love finding older camera for prices like that 😂 they are still so fun to shoot with too! But yeah, technology has come a looong way in the last 5/10 years for cameras 😂
Great video! It is a reallt great steal for thet price and is incredibly capable. Obviously you won't win any awards with it. But, when it's at the right place at the right time, you'll wish you had it in your pocket.
What were your settings??? Can you please share more details on this. Because I have the same camera and wanna learn more about it. It'll be great if you help me!!
I shot in Aperture priority mode, JPEG set to Fine with the stabilisation on then made subtle adjustments to the EV/ Aperture based on what the shot needed 😊 I'd suggest learning a little more about Aperture & exposure,if you don't already know, because it will really help with getting great photos 😊 Enjoy the camera and thanks for watching!
I've just picked up the same camera and I'm a complete novice in photography. Do you have any recommendations for settings to get the best quality images possible. Thanks
Hey! As the camera doesn't shoot RAW just make sure it's in the best JPEG setting possible and try shooting in Aperture Priority mode rather than Auto once you know more about the shooting modes 😊 Also double check that the IS (image stabilisation) is turned on as it works really well, especially when you're zoomed in fully! Hope you enjoy the camera!
The Price you got this camera for is insane, isnt it? I just bought one for around 100 Euros. Really excited to get it delivered. Im not too much into cameras, but i wanted a nice camera with good Zoom which is easy to operate and also quite cheap.
Yeah it was a crazy cheap price! Managed to find someone selling it who didn't really know what they had ha! Hope you love it, I enjoyed shooting with it!
@@stephenfphotography Hi, can I ask you something? I got the Camera today and wanted to test the zoom out. Im in Automode and wanted to zoom by using the zoomwheel. It Zooms a liitle bit but then it starts making knacking sounds and a on the screen appears a Objektiverror and the camera turns off. Am i doing something wrong ?
Sounds like you might have an issue with the motor that extends the lens. When I got mine the plastic "pipe" around the lens was a bit dirty which made it shudder when zooming. Cleaning that helped. Hope you can get yours working!
I do have a superzoom, a Nikon B700. Decent camera for wildlife, and a nice all rounder. Sort of a little brother to the Nikon P950. Fully articulating screen, 60X zoom (24 - 1440mm) takes nice photos, shoots 4K video. I'd say if you were going for a slightly newer superzoom, the canon SX50 or 60 would be a good bet. Or the Nikon P900. The pinnacle in my opinion is the Sony RX10iv, but those are horrendous expensive even used..
Great suggestions! I've been looking at the sx60, seems like the choice for me I think! I used to have an RX10, the mark 1, but I agree they cost so much ha!

Great price! I agree, it's such a great, often overlooked, camera!
Nice video! Love the layout (some narration with lots of photos) Keep it up!
Thank you, appreciate the feedback! Thanks for watching 😊
Sx40hs is a good one also
Great photos Stephen the zoom is very impressive.
Thanks bud! Was a fun little camera to review!
