Welcome to Taiwan. This is a gorgeous video. I live near Beitou (15 minutes by scooter), and I enjoy this video so much. It's both entertaining and informative. 😍
I'm heading to Taiwan in a few weeks and found your video very helpful. I will soon watch some of your others. Two questions: What is the best of the public hot springs in Beitou (I know Klook uses Spring City) and what kind of MRT transport card did you use to travel in and around Taipei? Thanks.
Thank you! To my knowledge there is only one public bath in Beitou, everything else is private (belonging to hotels that offer a day pass). If you want a super relaxing, less crowded experience, probably a hotel pass is the way to go but I loved the public one for the fun of it and the local experience. It was more packed though. In regards to the travel card, you will see it in one of my other Taiwan videos but you can purchase them at bigger train stations, add money on them and then easily tap in and out of public transport everywhere - super convenient. Enjoy Taiwan!
@@rita.loves.travel There are several famous hot spring attraction points, including: Yangmingshan National Park, Wulai District hot spring, Jiaoxi hot spring, Miaoli Tai'an Township, Guguan Hot Springs Park, DONG PU hot spring, Tainan Guanziling hot spring, Taitung County Chihpen hot spring etc.
I am going to the grand view beitou hot springs resort, I’m wondering is it required to be NUDE for the public springs? Can I wear some swimwear, I don’t want to be fully nude or look at others that are as well. Thanks!
From my experience you only need to be nude in an onsen in Japan but in Taiwan, you need to wear a specific type of swimming suit/shorts - no nude bathing. But that can be different if it is a private facility. Best to email them to avoid surprises on the day :)
