Excellent video, Annie. Even after over 30 years of being a massive fan of CT (my favorite band, to this day), the last three minutes in particular are an eye-opener for me. I never considered that Robin and Liz's personal relationship was the source of the band's melodic strengths. Thanks for that insight!
The same, I have been a fan since 1986. I knew their relationship had a large impact on the music, but I never realised how thought of what that first love of theirs meant.
Like Milo says, a nice insight that their love is what made the music sound so beautiful. Much as Robin and Simon don't like the "Dream Pop" label, it was birthed by them and they, using that analogy, raised up something great. I will forever be grateful for that.
Really loving Glitter & Gears! Absolutely love "She Will Go On" - so pure and beautiful vocals. I've been a big Cocteau Twins fan for a long time, and even bigger bvdub fan. Keeping a very close eye on future releases! :)
