UPDATED!!!! I know everyone makes mistakes.. (And NO ONE is perfect.) The upside down exhaust stacks was sort of a rookie move. No worries though. I used to have this model WAY WAY back when I was a kid. It ALSO used to have a rear gate/ramp for loading of cars. It sadly must have been lost to time. I'm impartial to the new color scheme you gave it. I guess it kinda gives it an updated look. = o)
Awesome job restoring that Tonks Kenworth W900 truck. But, at 10:12 the exhaust stacks are installed upside down. Use your before and after comparisons at 13:09 and 13:11 as reference. Plus, I work for Kenworth Sales of Utah. 😁
Don't you know in the winter you run the exhaust into the cab to keep warm? I thought everbody knew that. My buddy Ronny used to tell me that all the time, and if he was still alive he'd say it was so.
This Tonka was made in Mexico. I remember there were differents levels of "quality". One of my cousins had one of these, which I remember because of those "boring" wheels and a smaller size. I had a Corvette carrier truck which had very nice white wheels on the tires, and I recall my cousin stating that "your Tonka seems way better than mine".
Another Tonka rescued! Yep, rethink the stacks ;-) as stated earlier they are upside down, easy fix. Got a fire truck to restore and these vids help a lot!
Nice work. But the trucking company decals needed to be added and/or replaced on. Exhaust stacks? Uh oh Carbon monoxide yikes! Emissions malfunctions! 😱 A for effort...
You almost had it!! Everyone else pointed it out already the exhaust is upside down also the plastic window would look alot better if you sprayed it with some clear and maybe some decals
Looks great! I had one of those when I was a kid. It came with a couple of late 70s camaros. The trailer had a ramp too but not one that swung down, one end had tabs that rested into slots on the trailer.
Joy in that a piece of someone's childhood is being brought back to life. Sadness in that this will never be another person's childhood. Also put the stacks on UPSIDE - DOWN So much for authenticity - Oh well
I had a Dinky Car Transporter, the difference from this one was that on the Dinky Transporter the top deck dropped down at the rear end so that you could drive the cars up, then raise it to fill the lower deck, it also had an attached ramp which when raised formed the back of the transporter.
You put the exhausts on upside down😮
yes i just saw her too
Smoke stacks are upside down
Duh ???
@@russellphillips1534 Ditto !
That’s why it black. It’s the death truck.

I was gonna say that too but great job on the restoration
Looks good nice done. Im not going to say anything about the pipes. Just goes to show nobody is perfect. I give you a 99.9 of a 100

Love this stuff! Makes me want to go out and pick up a blasting cabinet and a powder coating kit. But you have the stacks upside down.
Going to fill the cab up with carbon monoxide, Driver won't last long

No decals.
Blurry glasses.
Stacks upside down.
Good job. But you need more efforts on details.
Agreed, Turan.
You do not have a true heart of restoration. It’s meant to be put back together clean with nothing else except for that
мне тоже гравится его работа,и его тоже
Желтый с черным-классика!

Blurry glass* -but you need to put more effort into detail*. Don’t criticise with bad grammar, it doesn’t look good...
@@Naux11 You derpwad. "Blurry glass" is perfectly fine English. Maybe you need to go back to school.
The smoke stacks are upsidedown.... but other than that I love it, it looks great. Keep up the good work! :)
I was going to say the same thing Lol
Wonderful Restoration!!!

Love your videos more than upside downers 😉
OK, I'll say it again! You put the Smoke Stacks upside down!😂

I got a old firetruck to restore too.

Really good well done look at the before and after the exhaust stacks have been put on upside down but really good job well done
Beautiful job sir. Flawless 👍👍
Comment of this video.
90%: accidental insertion of exhaust pipes.
10%: the rest of the video
Haha
That's because Tonka® restoration videos are so ubiquitous these days, the only thing worth commenting on is when the restorer messes up.

Está exelente el trabajo felicitaciones, solo hay un detalle , quedaron los escapes invertidos .
Bro I usually take a dump while I watch your videos, I'm done pooping by the time the vehicles are restored 👽
Who the hell takes 14 minute long shits
Xc
I love what you do
You put the “Stacks” on backwards. The straight part of the stack is to point up not down. 😩😩
Amazing, thank you.
You did an amazing job but you got to put the stickers back man you got to recreate the stickers
I love that gun
Esplêndido 👏👏👏👏👏❤

Who?
Made in Mexico! 🇲🇽 👍🏻😉
Los escapes !!!!!!! 😂😂😂😂, buen trabajo de restauración
good job, but you put the exhaust stacks on upside down.
Would’ve been really cool if you painted the kenworth badge red on the grill, and added orange clearance lights above the cab. But cool restoration😁
Pusiste alreves el caño de escape😂😂
si eso me fije en los comentarios tambien le dejo el esticker removido no le agrego uno
😁😁
Lo vi también
tambien atras le falta algo se nota porque hay agujeros ..tipo un porton ...
Why is this so satisfying
Love your videos. The exhaust pipes were put on upside down on this one. 🔧

Yeah he's got the exhaust upside down
.
Heat from like a lighter helps imperfections on the tires smooth out and shine nicer
Pretty cool but the exhausts look like dog ears.
Good job! Straighten the chrome exhaust pipes, pointing downwards. 👏👍
Thanks
He put the escapes on the back of it.
Ese si es un trabajo hermoso bendiciones
Let's see you do this all you armchair restorers! Not every one is the mymechanix guy overnight!
Super 👌
Nota 9.5 !
O escape está de 🙃 .👍
great work
This truck should have been painted yellow, or thats what i was expecting, great job anyway
خجعرلكد
Some real talent
Windshield "polish", no decals ... :(
yeah... I was thinking that too... this " restoration " was bare bones and no finesse. It completely looks bland and unfinished.
So satisfying
Why does this video make me feel like a serial killer is restoring a Tonka Truck?
With the exception of the exhaust you did a wonderful job
Great editing of your video.....new sub!
Прикольно получилось!
А ничего что выхлопные трубы перевёрнуты? Самая неудачная работа
это он сделал специально для большего количества комментариев для продвижения видео.

The stacks are upside down you obviously haven't seen a truck before
Of course he saw a truck before, it's only a mistake.
I had this as a kid!

Great work!
It was yellow when I was a kid I'm 55 now
Mal puestos los escapes, y deberías haber conseguido los stickers

Very Good.
Yes, it bugged me too.

Nice job
Forget the stacks, you need a ramp to load with. Can you add decals?
REALLY GOOD JOB... p.s don't read there comments there all hate comments about the pipe thing on
Все конечно хорошо, но выхлопных трубы перепутаны местами.
