This is one of the classes I’ve been looking for and have sought on UA-cam for years. Thank you so much for this gem full of valuable information. Classical Pilates is the only form which doesn’t exacerbate my chronic pain.. I’ve fallen in love w the history of Pilates.. so I’m sticking to it! Grateful 🙏
Hi! I am so happy this class found you! All my classes on here and my OPC members site are all classical. So take as many of them as you want. Also, if you love the history I hope you have read "The Caged Lion" by John Steele. The author is a dear friend and my teacher who studied with Joseph Pilates LOVEs the book. xx~LL
yay enjoy! We had John speak in our members group a couple years ago. And I still have that recording for our members to watch. its really lovely to know the history from people who were there
This is the best online pilates class I have seen. I have long been looking for one like that. Logical, incremental, well explained and not an overkill. Pilates fixed my lower back pain, and is the only form of exercise my body will tolerate with the muscles pain form of long Covid that I have. thank you, Lesley
oh wow, I'm so sorry to hear you have long Covid. I'm so happy Pilates does feel good to your body! And, that your lower back pain feels better. That is amazing! We do have a 4 week series that starts at 10min and goes up to 40 so if you liked this you might love that series. opc.me/challenge Feel free to enjoy this as much as you want xx~LL
I just found you and I LOVE your class! I have been aching for a Classical Pilates instructor online for quite some time now. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, your skills and your love of this exercise model. I will be back for more.
woohoo!! Do you have more equipment than just a Mat? If you have a Reformer I will be doing an accountability program (Free) starting next week! You can sign up opc.me/challenge. What's your favorite piece of equipment? xx~LL
Lesley, thank you so much for this original workout. I've had the book "Return To Life" from Joseph Pilates for years, but it's important to see the full body classic mat work in a video sequence. And yes, It's tailored to do it in 30 minutes. This is how I learned it 14 years ago here in Spain. And with your spirit, it's always enriching. 💖 Greetings from the Canary Islands/Spain.
Thank you for teaching this order! I have a chronic illness that causes joint pain etc, but this is so low impact on my joints and also the low repetitions and varied moves are keeping me fron developing overuse injuries, which im normally super prone to. And I can feel how much stronger this is making me!
you are so welcome! We use the order in all of our classes always. Including our membership where we drop new classes each week. The order the foundation for all we do! I'm thrilled to hear how much Pilates supports you! xx~LL

Also, we have a workshop on my site onlinepilatesclasses.com where I have a workshop that helps you make these connections to help ditch that click. It takes time but you'll get there xx~LL
Thank you for this. I was looking to get back into pilates for core strength (in the past when I was doing a couple sessions a week religiously it was the only time I could do a triple pirouette without falling out of it so it really works!) and I didnt realize most online classes did not do classical pilates anymore - I started classes only to find out half way though they started doing yoga or other things in the middle which is NOT what I was looking for. Anyway thank you for this! Just what I needed and was searching for. I guess from now on I have to look for classical pilates. Its the WAY

Thank you for this workout. I have fractured my leg and going crazy with not being able to run so this has been a moment of sanity each morning. I’ve been practicing daily for the last month (modified slightly ) and finding it easier each time. Thank you ☺️

Thank you so much for this! I have recently started taking Pilates classes but really struggle with how weak my stomach and core muscles are - it’s honestly a bit embarrassing 😮 I used to run a lot and have really strong legs but my core - no! I don’t know if they are weak for a reason or if I don’t activate them right? I can’t sit up from laying down without using my arms, for example! Does anyone have advice?
You're not alone! I used to train elite runners. So, you do need to start with a beginner class and work the foundations. If you do my free series fullbodyin15.com it's so great for building your foundations! We have to strengthen your hamstrings and glutes while stretching your quads and hips! So my fullbodyin15.com workout is perfect. And, if you join OPC I can look at your form and give you some more tips! I've been where you are!! You got this!
Hi I do a lot of Pilate I did like your workout but it’s the fastest Pilate I did usually every move is at least 5 or more times I hope you have other videos thank you 😊
I do have a question, some of my students do have some difficulty to round their backs to do rolling like a ball, they just, bump their back plane into the floor…what kind of feedback or exercise could I give them to practice to evolve into the C curve , and do it correctly??? Thank you so much for your feedbacks, they actually been a huge help for me. 🙏
Hey Ana, without seeing them move or their set up my guess is they are over rounding their upper back with their shoulders and under rounding their lower back. That can be due to tightness or weak abdominals or both. Something to have them consider is that its less about going "back" and more about getting the hips up. xx~LL ps I'll go live about this in the future Sunday 9am PT and dive in deeper.
Hey Ana, I'm going live on Sunday, Nov. 19 at 9am PT to answer your rolling like a ball question! Here's a link to the scheduled live: ua-cam.com/users/liveIvnCr_obzNs?feature=share

Hey Aline, Pilates is low impact so that is ok that you didn't feel like it had so much impact on your body.
