I knew there was a reason i haven't heard of this game, never came out in the usa. Its interesting to see how different this is from the other games. I would love to see you do more gameboy videos in the future.
I love how this game is like, one of the catalysts for us Australians getting their own very special specific releases of games - every other "Gallery" release got titled "Game Boy Gallery" up until Game & Watch Gallery Advance here and nowhere else!
Awesome review! I was keeping an eye out on this one knowing Game & Watch month concluded. 😉 “Game Boy Gallery: The Precursor to Game & Watch Game Boy”
Good job on the videos as always my friend this video is interesting I never knew Game and Watch Gallery had a predecessor I learned something new and that makes me super happy thanks so much for teaching me something new well take care my friend I hope you have an awesome day
My favorite videos to make are ones that I think will introduce new things to people! I'm glad that you enjoyed this one. Thank you for watching, and I hope you have an awesome day as well! :)
Interestingly, this version of Cement Factory is based on the tabletop version rather than the widescreen version that Game & Watch Gallery 4 uses. In fact if you switch the sound to Game & Watch mode, it’s almost a perfect recreation of what it sounds like!
Interesting! Is that because of the way that the cement enters the containers? It kind of just falls in, rather than bring brought from the side. I actually never noticed that before! Thank you for watching and commenting. )
@@bralenmurphy1991 I've played more of the version without the rope than the one with it, so sometimes I completely forget that it's there! Thank you for pointing that out, and for watching and commenting. :)
@@TheGameDisplay No problem! I've recently became a big fan of the game and watch series, and you just happen to have some excellent videos documenting them!
so i know i'm several years late to this but i got to play the retrofab emulation of this game and it turns out the gallery gives the 5 games a framing device detailed on the back of the box, that framing device being the player character's job hunt, which is a bit odd considering you play as puppets in ball and vermin but whatever maybe it's a Real Boy thing
Vermin on B is not all that easy. the middle slot unlocks for the rodents, and they come much faster. its kind of a challenge getting to 100 score for example
Man that cartridge would be worth it even if it was just for cement factory I have spent a lot of time playing that I'm actually about to buy a copy of this just to sit around and play Marios cement factory I just think it's funny they don't call it that
That's funny! I wonder why it would be released over there but not in North America. You would figure an NA release would be easier since you wouldn't have to translate the box and manual into all of the different European languages. Thank you for watching! :)
Sense when was this a thing! it looks like a knock off version that they gave for free in a happy meal at McDonald’s, just by looking at the box, but it’s a cool point in history
Haha, it really does have kind of a bootleggy feel to it. After playing so much of the Game & Watch Gallery games, discovering this one years later sure was bizarre. Thank you for watching and commenting!
i have this game, while the games are very simple, vermin and flagman are kinda fun cement factory is definitely the hardest of them manhole is ok ball is kinda boring

Thank you for watching! You're right, I really don't upload Game Boy gameplay too frequently. Perhaps we'll have to change that soon! :)
This cart has the best version of Manhole ever made. I like it way better than the Yoshi version in Game & Watch gallery.

I am also Australian and this was my first game boy game, pretty sure it was coz it was free with my game boy haha i played it for hours
These are more literal translations of Game and Watch, which is really interesting to see
Absolutely! They hybrid between classic and modern modes is really interesting. Thanks for watching! :)

I can remember having this game but until I saw this video I thought the internet had forgotten it exists.
It's definitely an obscure title! it doesn't help that it was never released in North America. Thank you so much for watching and commenting! :)
I've still got this game. Played it the other day and I couldn't see a damn thing on my original Gameboy.
I had this growing up in Australia
I played this game early but i didn't even know the name of this and now i found the Video, that's awesome 👌👌👌

Refreshing my memory, I’m sure I loved cement factory the most 💖

This just makes things more confusing considering game and watch gallery is called "Gameboy Gallery" in the japanese releases
Haha, absolutely! It's probably one of the most convoluted series names I've ever seen. They really had no idea what they wanted to go with. :P

Hello Andrew in the UK we got gameboy gallery the gameboy game that released in england europe
Man that cartridge would be worth it even if it was just for cement factory I have spent a lot of time playing that I'm actually about to buy a copy of this just to sit around and play Marios cement factory I just think it's funny they don't call it that
I have this one, I understand what you mean by a 'creepy feel'
Haha, I'm glad it's not just me! Thank you for watching!
Hi Andrew did you know that ball is in game and watch gallery 2 on the gameboy color
I did! It's an unlockable game, and you can even play a Modern version of it if you collect enough stars. Thank you for commenting! :)
I see these everywhere in the uk more common than tetris here lol
Yep.
Came bundled with a GBA I bought a few years ago.

Hello Andrew fun fact gameboy gallery did came out back in 1995 and I was playing gameboy gallery and I was playing ball
Hello! Thank you so much for checking out the video. :)
Hello Andrew fun fact is that mario the juggler is remixed version of ball
I believe I got this as a pack in game with my play it loud gb.
Why is all the box text in German, but the game titles are in English/French?
i have this game, while the games are very simple, vermin and flagman are kinda fun
cement factory is definitely the hardest of them
manhole is ok
ball is kinda boring
Hello l like ball and I find it very funny
We now know Mr. Game & Watch once had skin...
Unless you have an emulator, where you can use savestates and save your score, this game is meh, if they added something else it'd be nicer
Dang, im quite early this time
Welcome to the early zone! :)
