You said that she could use Megawatt and Ram-Ram as her Fair, but those are reserved for her side B since they use a B input, not A or C-stick, meaning this theoretical character would not have access to the other two, only Dragon. Islanders61: The Arsene version of Bair will not be accounted for, as it would require for the character to have the Arsene mechanic. Also Islanders61: We’re gonna give the character Arsene for their mechanic. Aside from that, great list! I’d only change three things about the moveset personally, Have Fair be Shulk’s, Down B is Command Menu and Mechanic is Wing, especially since it doesn’t have a time limit. You not mentioning Wing as one of the examples definitely baited me, not gonna lie!
Great video! Would be really good if you put some honorable mentions so that we can see your second/third option. Also Mario's up air combo's well mostly because of how agile he is and caracters with high fallspeed, low jumps or slow air mobility or acceleration wouldn't benefit as much. Personally I would choose G&W up air due to being a great juggling tool easily comboed into and greatly improving any character's advantage state.
Then again I think 3 G&W moves might seem too much. Or even 4 if you put his nair instead of palutenas. Or 5 with his invincible and really fast up smash.
I would replace Joker’s Back-Air with Roy’s, it’s stronger, it’s just as safe, and is super fast. I would replace Mario’s Up-Air with Game & Watch’s because it’s the most non committal juggling option. Finally, I would replace Min-Min’s Forward Air with Pikachu’s, it’s a combo tool, an edge guard tool, a KO Tool, it does everything.
Joker Bair is frame 7 and -5 universally on shield and 31 total frames whereas Roy Bair is frame 8 and -5 or -6 on shield and 35 total frames. Though Roy’s does offer incomparable kill power thanks to the sweet spot, Joker’s is just an all around better combo, edgeguarding, and ledgetrapping tool, something that Roy’s isn’t nearly as good at accomplishing. I actually agree with Mr. G&W up air, however the argument can be made that it’s reflectable, but I can overlook that, his up air is just incredible. And everything you said for Pikachu’s Fair (aside from combo tool, but this theoretical character has other combo tools to compensate for it) applies for Min Min Fair as well, and in fact, does all those things better than Pikachu’s. Couple that with the fact that multi-hits are inconsistent, I think this theoretical character would rather have Min Min Fair over Pika’s even despite the obvious greatness of Pika’s Fair.
I agree with mostly everything except Wario's waft since while the moves is incredibly good the only downside is that it's not available throughout the match so I think Hero's down B is better (assuming every other move other than down b isn't reliant on mana)
Well I loves this video. Exceptionally entertaining and good mental stimulation. I do notice most of these moves come from spacing archetypes. It would be absolutely amazing if you pulled out a best zoner/trapper moves. You have created by far the best character in the game, now I want you to create a character that will invalidate this characterby not letting them in. (This zoner could have a counter, I've seen how useful counters are on characters who force the opponent to get in because often by the time the opponent gets passed the projectile barrage, all they want to do is attack)
Good list but i disagree with palu nair and mario up air. IMO even though mario up air is very good, it's mainly good only because it has amazing synergy with a lot of marios other moves, and the hypothetical character you were creating would not have the moves mario up air has amazing synergy with. As for nair i just think there are better nairs than palu's nair, GnW nair combos better and is more safe on shield, Ike nair is a massive long range disjoint that sets up perfectly for combos, shulk nair is an even bigger disjoint than ikes and it 2-frames and is also -2 on shields. But those are the only placements i disagree with, other than that i can agree with all the other placements.
I think Palu keeps the placement on best nair because it combos at lower percents and kills at higher percents, but it’s a tight call when it comes to GnW and Ike
This was a pretty good list. One thing that I would like to see is maybe naming the song that you use in each section. I like a lot of the songs used, but I can’t remember what the name is.
The character seems to be a long range spacer and less of a combo heavy character, so Roy jab and Mario up air feel out of place. And why use macs super armor f smash when you could have min mins which you could use from far away, and have a frame 1 jab get off me option. Also for neutral b while monado arts are good this character lacks any projectiles so I would use Samus charge shot instead. I would use an up air with a disjoint like byleth or ivysaur to go with the ranged fighter we have here. I'd also use game and watch Nair because of its size and it also combos like palutena Nair. Lastly instead of arsene I would have one winged angel as a mechanic because of its speed, power, and extra jump would make ledge guarding absolutely free. I agree with all your other choices great job on the video. Only thing you missed was grabs, so probably min min grab, Rob down throw, dk cargo grab, Ness back throw, a low forward throw for a tech chance and f smash punish, and idk about the up throw.
And to top it all of every time they miss an aerial they pancake (like pikachu), an unpokeable shield (like Yoshi), and all of this is packaged into a kirby like model so they can also crouch under everything, also give them Olimar's max pikmin grab range
in my opinion, Mario's up air is only good because it's on mario. what if it was on luigi or little Mac? R.O.Bs d-tilt is so good that it would work well on almost any character, the same with roys side-b. Great video though, you make a lot of good points!
