In the Xenoblade 3 OST Limited Edition box, there is a message from Tetsuya Takahashi where he says, "If there is another "Xenoblade," it will likely be something vastly different from what came before." Since this was in the ost box I would assume this also relates to the music in the series and if that is the case I would love if Mariam Abounnasr and Yutaka Kunigo are added once again as composers. Abounnasr has contributed to the series since 2017 with her fantastic arrangements, her work on the "Black Mountains" tracks are amazing and if the next saga of Xenoblade games need a new sound I think she is the perfect candidate. Kunigo wrote two tracks (The Exhausted Victorious, The Speechless Defeated and Ultimate Enemy) and i think they are very impressive tracks. I do like how both tracks don't sound like any other composer who worked on the xc series. I would love to see more of their style of music in another Xenoblade game. Kunigo is the sound planner for Xenoblade 3 and works at Monolith Soft, so maybe it's likely we'll see them again.
I feel like it would make complete sense to have new blood take the centerstage for this "XC4" in order to really commit to the whole themes surrounding XC3 but it will inevitably split the community (much like XCX's soundtrack) if it deviates too much from what people expect. At the very least, I hope the founding composers of the series at least continue to be involved to some degree still.
parts of this remind me of Dead Sea from Chrono Cross so I almost thought this was Mitsuda (w/ Abounnasr arrange) before the credits released. but I guess it's entirely Abounnasr which is cool. she's an ace.

Yeah the songs from both of them were bangers, I can’t wait to hear more
3:22 - 3:48 makes me want to climb a goddamn mountain in real life.

she also did yggdrasil, she’s awesome
@@aylinilya. That was Mitsuda, but I didn't realize until now how important her arrangement style was to its power.
