フルトヴェングラーがデビューの演奏会で、振ったメインの曲。調べてみると、1906年、20才のとき、カイム管弦楽団（現在のミュンヘン・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団）で、ベートーヴェン「献堂式序曲」、自作のアダージョの後、この曲を振っています。
