- This will be my final video in Baclaran. But I will continue to cover other operations.
Videos are first released on / ytgadgetaddict and comments can be left there.
The truth is, without the support of the local level, the MMDA cannot fix Baclaran. The sidewalks and roads will remain blocked, the heavy traffic will continue and commuters will still be forced to walk through stalls in the middle of the road.
I don’t make videos to show problems. I make videos to show what is being done to FIX those problems. What the various government agencies are doing to improve things for the masses. The idea is to promote and share positive change.
In line with that, instead of continuing to show the same problems in Baclaran each week, I’d prefer to spend my time on things like the PUV Modernization program, Manila Bay Rehabilitation, Project EDSA and standard anti-illegal parking operations.
To the man who said I should go back to my own country, my question stands, What have you done for the country?
Because I wake up at 4am everyday to join operations, as a volunteer. I spend hours editing and blurring videos every day. Then more hours answering questions in comments and private messages. And I now spend my Saturdays on the Manila Bay Rehabilitation. So I can stand proud for my love of the Philippines and my contributions.
This actually turned out not to be my last Baclaran video.
Because a couple of months later, the leader of the vendors (a Kagawad) attacked and strangled a member of the clearing team. I went back the next day with the team to document the follow-up operation.
Unfortunately there's still a lot of corruption in Baclaran which means lots of vendors, colorum e-trikes, habal-habal, jumper wires etc

Hey GA, I hope you're are doing fine. I've been watching your videos these past 2 weeks, they we're awesome man! I just want to apologize in behalf of that guy who said harsh things to you. I think every place have those kind of people, including here in the PH though not all of us are like him. I sincerely think you are a great and nice guy who spreads positivity to all. I believe that we, as citizens, also have a responsibility. The vendors won't be there if no one does business from them.

Nung araw, anlinis-linis ng LRT d'yan sa Baclaran, ngayon puno ng vendor. My God, totally wipe them out. Meron pa kasi kayong pa-kundisyon-kundisyon. Remove them all without any conditions.
Of course there's money collections involved in this huge clan of vendors.
I am with you Gadget addicts my brother. I am pure Filipino, but I could not understand that guy. I guess he could not understand the primary goal of 🌴🌱🌿why the government was doing a clearing operation. Mabuhay!
Thank you for a good coverage regarding this issue, unfortunately this undisciplined / corrupt vendors gives filipinos a bad name.

It won’t happen that those vendors will change I grow up at that area before it was good but now wow.. people are hard headed also there’s a lot of bad guy around.. the best thing is that they have to comeback everyday so that they’ll be fed up & suddenly get tired of hiding their stuff.. I know that one day it will go back to normal life the way it use to..

After so many years of clearing operations, I cannot
see that city gov't can control
the growing problem of illegal
vendors, street dwellers,
illegal parkings and other road
problems, because of lack of
personnel, clearing tools and
equipments, and vehicles also.
The implementation of the
clearings must be powerful and non-elective.
A large part of it comes down to the choices of the Barangay itself.
For example, it's the Barangay Captain that has asked the DILG to allow those vendors to stay under the Baclaran LRT.
No matter what you try to fix, if the LGU wants it to be that way, it's going to be hard to implement any improvement.

Whenever I visiting Manila, I must visit Baclaran. Despite the chaos there, I just love the place. I fell in love with this place. It's good for shopping. I'm from Brunei. Looking forward to visit MNL again in 2020. 🥰

Honestly it always amazes me how many racist comments and messages I receive on a daily basis.
Filipinos are all around the world. And likewise many people from other countries come to the Philippines.
