Bro I can tell you living in Seattle is HARD whenever you want the weather to be one thing it doesn't do that we hardly get any snow and are very unprepared when it happens. Also you would have to be extremely wealthy to own a normal house here.
I used to drive from Tacoma to Seattle every day for work but now I live in the DC area. Everyone asks about the rain there, it's so funny. Everyone also asks me if I was depressed when I lived there because of the rain and the gray but I wasn't at all. I think I would say it's worse here because I'm still stuck in traffic but there's no sound, no mountain, no sun breaks, no Seattle.
I also did the Tacoma - Seattle commute for a while - I don't miss it! I always think I'm used to the gray, but then when the sun comes out I'm like "oh yeah, this is what energy and happiness feel like..." :-D The mountains and water definitely make it bearable though.
@Veronica Kanka SoCal has great weather BUT the air quality is so horrible you don't even get to enjoy fresh air and the outdoors. It feels like you're breathing inside of a garage even if you're on a hike. Even when it's not fire season, the smog is always pretty bad. Also it's expensive so unless you make big $ you'll live far away from the beach and other desirable areas and will have to deal with parking & traffic.
Everytime i needed a laugh i go back and watch this video, moved to Seattle from Florida then 3 months later back in Florida. Cant handle the rain and the cold. 🤣
Lmao same here. Moved to Seattle and 2 1/2 months later I’m back in Cali. The front desk guy was like omg lol ppl from Miami moved to Seattle and then terminated lease in 2-3 months and moved back to Miami lol. I love the rain but only one week max. After that it’s depression and it hits hard!
I lived in Seattle for a while and this is accurate. Wait until the summer days when the pacific air is so crisp, no humidity and never above 85 degrees ( 29C)
@@lucaslaughing maybe you need to revise your comment bc the summers have gotten weirder & weirder over the last 18 years. Make a video about the different types of Seattle Summer days! Be sure to include Juneuary, the Opressive Hot, Melty, Broiling, the Arid AF and the Smoky As Hell days. Don't forget the "Begging For A Rain Break" type, too. ;)
Thanks for watching! I'm never sure how to feel about the sunny rain. I'm happy that it's sunny, but I'm also sad that it's raining, so it's usually a draw...
I wouldn’t last coming from Austin. I can take the heat, and I can take the rain. What I can’t take are those constant grey skies. Maybe this explains why grunge was created in Seattle everyone was depressed, you can hear it in the music.
I live in washington and I say that this happens to me too I like it even though it's not as much were I used live in were the thunder sounded like Cannon fire and when it rains it pours than light for awhile pours that over and over or light all day or pours for awhile stops than light rain and that's it so drum roll ready for the state for it....... Its Arizona I know your like it rains there like that yup and everyone says it's all a dessert nope there's a lot of Green there too
I think that's more common in eastern Washington. In the Seattle area, it's rare to break 100 and the lowest "official" recorded temperature was 0 degrees in 1950.
I don't think so. Looking at the CDC's data, it looks like WA is near the middle as far as deaths per 100k, and #13 as far as total deaths. www.cdc.gov/nchs/pressroom/sosmap/suicide-mortality/suicide.htm We do have a pretty solid hospital system, and I think they beauty of the mountains and the water helps make up for the long stretches of gray days...
I hate people who say that grey rainy skies are depressing and sad and gloomy. I personally love the cold grey rainy days and even if it doesn’t rain as often as people say it does in Seattle, it still looks like a beautiful place to live. Better than this death trap that is California...
Honestly, the rain itself doesn't look depressing, but the gray skies. If it could be like that brief "sunny" clip you showed all the time, I'd happily move there. But extended periods of gray aint for me.
Moved from Nashville to Port Angeles. Nashville is a huge metropolitan area, and I love a gloomy setting. Fortunately, I was able to move to Port Angeles and fulfill my dream!
i have wanted to live there at least for one year, but.... not broke, i wanna live there with a decent standard of living and i hears it is VERY expensive..
Lived up here a couple of different times due to work/business and I can honestly say it takes a very specific type of individuals to live, love and thrive here. The 9.5 months of grey, dark, damp and rain just isn't ok! The people are rather stale, unfriendly and just weird at times. It's not a great place to build community with friends and family. Nobody will even speak to you, let alone come through and chill, lol. Add to it that if you're Black or LatinX many times it will just be you and you only. There's really only the small little area of the Central District where you can get some of the flavor, but even that is dwindling by the day. Unless, you're an introvert who loves constant dark, wet and grey, runs a successful business, a woodsman, a dark web hacker who sits in the dark 24/7 breaking code, then I'd say it's not going to work. However, the scenery is great and it's a pretty city that's very close to Vancouver (another weather depressing city, but is somehow amazing at all times) American Black, Caribbean, LatinX etc.. and what to be on the West Coast? Southern California is the only place to be IMO... Other than that DC/DMV (#1) Charlotte, Old ATL, and even Orlando are the spots! Great representation for all, lots of successful POC business owners (especially Blk) cool vibes, warm and friendly people all with way better weather! Goodluck to anyone moving in. I hope you really, really, really love your job, because you will become depressed and start losing your mind after about the 1st week of it. Cheers!
@@lucaslaughing Hey man, move to Breckenridge, CO! It is the best place to live in the U.S. Temp never goes above 80 degrees. (never 81). Nice white winters. 300 days of sun each year. Beautiful autumns with many yellow and orange leaves. Super green summers. Incredible springs with many flowers. It is paradise man. And it's only 1 hour 30 mins from Denver bro. It's the best place to live in the U.S.!
I fell in love with Seattle once I found out what the weather was like and the fact that it's a big city surrounded by beautiful wilderness
Yeah, it's a beautiful place to live if you can handle the long periods of gray.
@@lucaslaughing that I can
My dream is to live there just for the rain.
George F Same, rain is relaxing for me
same for me!!
Let’s all move in together
same!! glad I'm not the only one :)
I love the rain and cold also
artificial LMAO I'm done !
Lol, just trying to keep it entertaining
Rain is the reason why I want to move to Seattle. It's too sunny in Southern California.
Yeah, you definitely won't have the problem of too much sun up here! :-)
California sucks. When I get the chance I’m heading strait to Washington. Maybe even Seattle.
Same
you will come back lol, its cool at first, but it sucks the soul out fo you after a while

My Ex lives there and he hates the rain. So I hope this Fall and Winter it will rain non-stop. LMFAO.
Lol, he might be living in the wrong place!
No pls
I live in this state too that was mean and guess what you got your wish 😭
Thank you so much and my ex doesn't. I love the rain and don't forget to give us some snow as well. Thanks and pray hard.
My favorite weather report of all time was a Seattle report: Rain changing into showers and then changing back to rain.
Lol, yeah, I've definitely heard forecasts like that too.
I'm moving to seattle, I'm tired of California and its dry ass weather
me toooo, from LA :/
Lucky fuckers
I'll take dry weather over non-stop rain
Never ending sun shine and warm winters…

As a Seattle native the comfort of the rain at night easily put me to sleep as a baby til this day.
For sure - I think the night rain is my favorite. Thanks for watching!
Moving in 2 weeks and couldn't be more excited - it's been my vacation destination for many years and now my new home :-)
Welcome!
I do love Seattle's rain and grey and everything about that place .
I'm not sure I'll ever love the grey, but I do appreciate the rain 😀
Visiting for the first time Wednesday. So excited.
I love when it rains
I’d do ANYTHING to live hear
Yeah? I feel like that's not how most people respond when they see the "typical" Seattle weather :-D
lucaslaughing hell man I’m from Florida I’m used to the rain
And then there’s “All hell breaks lose, heavy rain with hail… the then sunny like nothing happened”
Lol, in other words, Spring 😀
Not sure if you'll get this but could you make a video on the living expenses for someone who would like to move to Seattle?
This is hilarious! Love your descriptions (including "Sunny"). Ha! Good job! Will be anxiously awaiting episodes 2-27. ;-)

I like the artificial rain. Also cannot wait for next 26 episodes of Seattle rains!
I do live here and it's all true. I love this video and I love the rain.
As a fellow seattleite, I can concur with your list
Thanks for watching!
I'm moving to seattle in a few days I heard it rains a lot and this video helped find out what type thank youuuu
It is really helpful for me to know more words about rain...
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this wonderful video!
Just loved😍
Thanks for watching!
Rain makes me happy and the sun makes me depressed.
Likewise, I'd rather wake up with rain tapping my window than the sun pounding down my doors.
I wouldn’t last coming from Austin. I can take the heat, and I can take the rain. What I can’t take are those constant grey skies. Maybe this explains why grunge was created in Seattle everyone was depressed, you can hear it in the music.
Lol, that's exactly right - it's not the rain that gets you, it's the grey...
1:47 *'Demoralizing'* LMAOOOO
Ah Seattle the once place in the world I'd love to enjoy the rain more than Scotland.
I live in Southern California and I find funny how most of the people I knew back in high school love the rain. They’d love it in Seattle I bet
i want to live here forever !!
Wow, this is helpful. I thought the sky would be dark but it's like the east coast.
Yeah, it can get pretty dark and gray, but it's not pitch black or anything...
my new favorite channel

Rain city is one of Seattle's several nicknames.
In Washington there's every type of weather throughout the year, from 100+ in summer and sometimes in the negatives during winter
I think that's more common in eastern Washington. In the Seattle area, it's rare to break 100 and the lowest "official" recorded temperature was 0 degrees in 1950.
Thinking about moving to Seattle from San Diego. Thank you for the video
Thanks for watching!
I was reading that Washington is #1 state of suicidal due to depression because of the weather aka rain rain rain. Is this true?
I don't think so. Looking at the CDC's data, it looks like WA is near the middle as far as deaths per 100k, and #13 as far as total deaths. www.cdc.gov/nchs/pressroom/sosmap/suicide-mortality/suicide.htm

Seattle weather Reminds me of Twilight movie and The ring lol
Yes! I just thought of twilight!
@@ginnyfromdablock7551 I thought of The Ring lmao
This was great how about ambience videos of WA? Just a thought loved the video.
Thanks for watching!
Try driving in Bonney lake we get hail in morning
Honestly, the rain itself doesn't look depressing, but the gray skies. If it could be like that brief "sunny" clip you showed all the time, I'd happily move there. But extended periods of gray aint for me.
Yeah, the gray is definitely the worst part. The rain isn't even that bad most of the time - it's just the lack of sunlight. Thanks for watching!
Moved from Nashville to Port Angeles. Nashville is a huge metropolitan area, and I love a gloomy setting. Fortunately, I was able to move to Port Angeles and fulfill my dream!
Wow, that's quite a change - glad that you're enjoying Port Angeles!

That’s awesome Lucas! 😂 there were some weird ones in there
Lol, thanks, I wanted to keep it entertaining :-D

I love rains and snow
I love rain and snow it doesn't get like that in California I will go to Seattle just for the rain and the snow AND GO HAWKS
I crave the weather they showed in the movie ring
This is so hilarious especially because I moved to California after too many years of all that!
Yeah, moving somewhere with sun gets more appealing every year!
I wanna move there!!!
That water can drive you crazy. I lived there for a couple months and hated it. Im used to rain being temporary. Not there. Its like get used to it.
Yeah, the winters here are pretty brutal - just because of the grey and damp!
you named the rains? lol
Someone had to! 😀 Thanks for watching!
Does it flood?
Yeah, some areas do, but inside the city it's mainly just street flooding.

This was an amazing video
Thanks for watching!

Hah, we'd need sunshine for that 😀 - thanks for watching!
I also love the rain but i don't know how i would feel about it when it is raining that much. Anyway. It is too late to try it. I am settled :)
Yeah, the sound of the rain is really soothing at first, but by day 8 with no sunshine it starts to get old...
currently the standard
Great and very funny video!
Thanks Rapids Medical!
I LOVE THE RAIN
I love rain
Episode 1 of 27. LOL 😅😅😅
Awesome 👍❤️
And that whole thing happened in one day
Lol, yes, it was a very long, strange and soggy day 😂
Fun idea!
Thanks for watching!

Which is why the Suicide rates there are so High.
Amazing
I wanna sell windshield wiper blades in Seattle

I like the rain, but..........
Seattle is Gotham city sans crime.
Also sans Batman...
I use to love the rain but now that I live in Seattle, I don’t love it so much anymore. 😒
It definitely gets old, doesn't it? But I'm excited for spring!
LOL just about right! :)
If you like the rain then just stand in the shower. Western Washington weather is so depressing!
