- My experience on moving into my own home for the first time
I tried not to give too much advice but more so explain my experience with some tips included
To summarise the tips that are not included in this;
1. Start saving for a down payment early.
2. Explore your down payment and mortgage options.
3. Research state and local assistance programs.
4. Determine how much home you can afford.
5. Check your credit and pause any new activity.
6. Compare mortgage rates.
7. Get a pre approval letter.
8. Hire the right buyer's agent.

One thing to remember with HTB (help to buy), is the more your home is worth-the more you’ll have to pay back as interest when you’re ready to sell.

The help to buy sounds amazing, just did a bit of more research and wish the US had a program like this🥺
The help to buy isa is okay but limited, you can only save 12k (I think) and you’ll get £3000 back. But I worked out today that you can get that in about 5 years as you can only save £200 a month with that isa. The help to buy scheme is good but also a big loan 😭

DeDe Mandy i think so yes ! Or at least live with someone so you can understand the idea of sharing your own space with someone. For me, I struggled living with my ex but mainly because I didn’t know how to live with someone. I needed to experience being alone to understand how I was as a person and then work with someone when living together ❤️
@@JourdanRiane I understand. I think about living on my own and I want to but idk how soon that will happen. Plus my bf talks about us living together. I don't mind but it freaks me out a bit lol I wonder if doing that would destroy our relationship....I over think way too much lol
