All of the recent episodes I've seen from you have been about the Next Big Pimax. Have you entirely abandoned those of us with the older systems? More to the point, is Pimax doing so? How about some comparisons of performances such as these with older systems? Are there any workarounds, at all? Or are we now stuck with expensive door stops?
If you have a lower end system, you're better off not going with a higher resolution, higher FOV or higher frame rate. But I don't understand the question. During the Kickstarter, the minimum requirements of the 5K was advertised as a 1070. They have since delivered multiple performance optimisations, frame rate options and FOV options. If you have a door stop, it's because you can't read. The Artisan might still be appropriate for these specs, but I'm not entirely sure how you expect to buy a new one and use two headsets at once.

Sorry but until you can make it 90hz or 120hz with this mode then count me out. This new Pimax headset is going to be a huge flop. Release the 5k Super then maybe we'll talk. Even if the resolution is great it would probably be too laggy to go from 90hz headset to 75
Had to give you a like to get it up to 150 )) Nice to see native runs well. Is it me or do VR arms just look so much better in game than floating hands? Now, if I could get my base stations and Sword Controllers around the same time the 8KX ships - that would be something. All in all, great that mostly there is good compatibility with Pimax HMD's and Valve / Oculus titles. The rub being how much better the experience is with the Pimax HMDs. )))

It has been 13 months and unfortunately I am still waiting for the delivery for 8K which is already became an previous generation. Hope Pimax holds their promises for 8KX. @@legendarymark112 My sensors are very well fixed on the walls, but I still have USB connection problems, poor tracking problems. I have a CV1 rift, so that's what I can say.
@@dsakln Hm ok, never had a problem with the Vive, the Pimax headsets now use SteamVR 2.0 Tracking which is better than the OG Vive Steam vr 1.0 tracking.

I think the Pitool is flawed. in DCS i get butter smooth Gameplay at 64fps. but at 70 and 80 in my 5k xr I get stutters. yes I'm using the latest pitool headset fware. I'm running a 2080ti ftw3 hybrid maximus gene mobo and a Intel i9 9900k. in all 3 frame rate settings I'm below the line in steam vr. pitool set at 1.0. steam vr at 80%

SweViver. Two questions. Will audioheadsets fit over the top of the 8kx (not the delux audio)? Also on the delux headset 8kx models are the earpads removable? I would like to be able to use my audiotecknica headset.
It's disappointing that Pimax named this 8K, since true 8k is 32 MP, this is 16 MP, never mind that through the round lenses you can't even see the true full 4k panel in each eye.
I’m having problem with my 5k xr in IL-2 BoS, the image freeze after tew minutes and i have to close the game, and other problem with warthunder, one eye have good image quality, and the other bad quality, try change everything using pimaxTool, but no success, can someone help?

Is it possible to use fpsVR when you are only using Pitool instead of SteamVR? Because it does provide superior stats (CPU and GPU separately for example) to Afterburner.
I lived in Sweden, 99% of Swedes are honest people. Working for a company is an honor not a shame. I come from driving sims where 99% of UA-camrs and reviewers tell you lies in the morning and sleep with companies for money at night. So unless Swe really lied or Pimax really scammed (I am not aware of the reasons of the complaining I am not even a member in the forum), I wish you guys get less harsh on the man. You'd need to use displayport 1.5 if you want to have the bandwidth to run games at 4k 120hz easily. Thing is... there is no dp 1.5 yet or any graphics cards that support it either. You can always wait for pimax to make an 8k X+ or something with 4k @120hz. Dp 1.5 can do 4k at over 300hz I've heard others say.
Thanks for the video man. I really edge of buying Pimax 8KX. I currently have Oculus Rift S at home but the small FOV is ruining immersion. Can you say any estimate when the 8KX starts shipping? Is the SDE and quality improvement much bigger than in Rift S? The GTX3000 series drops this year so the GPU side should be covered.
They start shipping to preorder March but we don't fully expect to start fulfilling until April. Order early to get earlier. The SDE is pretty much gone.

He told me he wants a letter from Pimax to lift an NDA. Well the Shanghai office is on vacation until Feb 10th. Even then getting a formal letter written is like pulling teeth. He is free to make a video as long as he states "it is a preproduction model". That's it.
Not really avoidable since he's been going long before pimax 5k/8k existed. Yeah he could change it but you build a name for yourself over time.. External sensor issues? Like what? If you don't secure it on a wall and havr floorboards that wobble them like mine do if they are on camera stands?

They don't need usb ports. Or cable management other than plugging into the wall.

In sure you can. You will most likely get almost same performance. Maybe 3-5% less, but nothing you need to worry about.

What in-game resolution so you use? Does it matter? Can I set it to 1600x900 or so to save some gpu horsepower?

Yes but Revive runs through SteamVR renderer while PiTool launcher runs with its own renderer.
