Ismael Cruz Cordova’s audition story is so inspiring!! Lots of people would be too shy or too insecure to refuse to take no for an answer like that- but he manifested this opportunity for himself. If he hadn’t been so persistent they probably wouldn’t have remembered him and respected him enough to give him that final opportunity where he was able to clinch the role. Sometimes you need sell yourself and show you care!!
Similar story with Henry Cavil and Geralt :D Love to hear these stories when people fight hard for what they want.
It would have been better if they had forgotten about him. A total miscast.

Look the promo material turned me off too but now I just love this show and this cast. Anyone who turned it off after 10 minutes missed a phenomenal season full of great performances and a show crafted with meticulous care.
Meticulous care? The acting and writing was terrible. So you must've thought the line " The sea is always right" was a masterpiece in film writing..

영화보는줄알았음. 그래픽도 대단했고, 촬영기법도 엄청났고, 연기도 좋았고, 여러가지면에서 굉장했다고 생각함. 영화라고해도 될수준이였다.

Tbf she is described as the most beautiful and fairest of the elves and she looks younger than some people she is older than in Lord of the rings films too.

Where is an Adar interview or a wizard? They were the bad boys in this serie... Mainly Adar(Joseph Mawle)... Did you forget him?
Joseph Mawle rarely does stuff like interviews due to being (mostly) Deaf and dyslexic, which I imagine makes these sort of situations exhausting. (For acting scenes, he reads his scene partners' lips.)
There was however a podcast episode recently where he did an interview, so maybe google for that!

I agree! In hindsight, I was so happy that i decided to give it a try despite the bad reviews which kind of lessened the anticipation for me. It probably has the disadvantage to be a book adaptation which made a lot of fans unsatisfied maybe? Imo it is a very enjoyable fantasy series which brings a lot of the classic LOTR vibes. Loved it and the actors/actresses are also great!

To all haters. It's much much better to have movies with real actors than what the second age boring monologs. This streaming will go on to be epic regardless you say. Many people hate the Lord of the Rings. Most of you are Trolls trying to kill Rings of Power. No specific examples, just generalized hate words are used by hate mongers.
So now you have nearly two years before season 2 . Hopefully you'll go away by then. I wish youtube would allow me to shutdown hate comments. I love that the 80 year old Tolkien Silmarillion is being brought to modern times so kids and kidlike adults are watching the new movies. Awareness of past literature will be brought to mind in new generations, which is better than violent, obscene movies so common nowdays.

They have done a massive disservice to the source material. The show looks good, but there's not much more than that. Plot-lines have no relevance, move too slow, or don't make any sense.

My favorite part was when Guy-ladriel & the ewok got into the Tardis. They set their phasers on stun for their night on the town in Wakanda. I laughed until I cried. 10/10. JRR Martin will love Amazon's adaptation.

@@barbaraquaye9273 the meeting of Sauron and Galadriel on that raft in episode two. It’s a pretty major coincidence that these two would just… meet up there... I mean REALLY BIG COINCIDENCE.. Galadriel is 3000years old and acting like a spoiled little teenager, plus she is all knowing, all wise and HIGHLY UNLIKABLE... I could go on
