Hello Gooble Reacts! [ @gooblereacts ] ! Nightwish fan here, your musical quest summoned me. Welcome to the world of symphonic metal! And thank you for checking this legendary band! This live recording is from Helsinki in 2005, then together with Tarja Turunen [pronounced Tar-rya], the 1st female singer of the band, and Marco Hietala, bassist and singer. About the instrumental and vocal added parts - it's good to know they recorded their orchestral and vocal back tracks with prestigious institutions as London Philharmonic Orchestra. London's The Metro Voices choir group and London's Young Musicians Children's Choir as their regular partners. Since this is your first Nightwish reaction, it is my duty to give you the [updated] short history of the band concentrated by Ann Waychoff, one of the biggest Nightwish fan who has since passed away (and I am doing this in her memory): " Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a Symphonic Metal band, with a female main singer. They are from Finland. Tuomas Holopainen [pronounced Tuo-mas], the keyboard player, composes and writes the lyrics for 95% of their music. [Sami Vanska was the bassist of the band starting with their 2nd studio album, he was with them until 2001. Then Marco Hietala was bassist and vocals, since 2001 to 2020. He recently announced his retirement both from the band and the public life for the next year at least. Then in May 2021 Jukka Koskinen [pronounced Yukka] became the bassist of the band, for the Human :II: Nature tour - and recently, the band announced he became a permanent member] And there is the guitarist Emppu Vuorinen [he also recorded the bass lines for their 1st studio album]. Then there is Troy Donockley from UK who is a multi-instrumentalist and vocals. Jukka Nevalainen [pronounced Yukka] is the drummer. In 2015 due to Jukka's health issues Kai Hahto became the drummer and as of now is a permanent addition. Nightwish has had three singers. 1st one was Tarja Turunen [pronounced Tarr-ya] (Operatic vocals) - you just heard her. She was with them until 2005. The 2nd one was Anette Olzon from Sweden (Poppy, strong vocals). She was with them until 2012.The 3rd and current singer is Floor Jansen, from Netherlands (power, operatic, soprano.....most versatile). There are live concerts that you should use depending on what era. From Wishes to Eternity and End of an Era (Tarja), Montreux Festival live 2012 and Exit Festival (Anette), Live at Wacken 2013, Live at Wembley, Live at Tampere, Vehicle of Spirit, Decades live (Floor). I hope this helps. I want to welcome you to the Nightwish community. I hope you like them enough to continue the journey. Believe me Nightwish will surprise you with their songs. You will never know what to expect. They are unbelievable live. I want to warn you that Nightwish fans are hard core. So be prepared. lol " For an extended set of suggestion (with links), I posted 2 huge comments in the community tab in my main YT channel: www.youtube.com/@gabriel.bardac/community 🤘
@@gooblereactsThank you for your positive response! I understand that this is not your usual kind of music, but I hope you will continue exploring, because you will definitely notice that the structure of Nightwish songs often approaches that of classical music. You have in front of you an ocean of good music, of great diversity, created and performed by Nightwish for more than a quarter of a century. In the hope that you will continue, you have a new subscriber here. Greetings from Romania!
@@gooblereactsI would suggest you check Kang Hyung Ho covers of both Wishmaster and Phantom of the Opera! He is a member of Forestella a South Corean male vocal quartet,I'd suggest you check them out too.Believe me, you will be amazed!❤
Symphonic Metal is such a beautiful genre, and Nightwish are one of the most influential pioneers. The funny thing is it was almost an accident they went into this direction, the guys and Tarja went to the same school, and after graduation they didn't know she had just started her classical singing training. Once they found out how much her voice had changed, instead of replacing her, Tuomas made his music fit her vocals. :) And Tarja had to figure out how to make her vocals suit this heavier music, which apparently cost her many tears in the record studio. But it was so so worth it. She's no longer with the band but she'll always be famous
Their first internationally big song, Wishmaster, is what got me hooked 20 years ago and is well worth watching; the End of an Era (2006) performance is solid. All their performances from that tour DVD are excellent; everyone will recommend Floor's version of Ghost Love Score, but I think Tarja shines with it. Nemo, Planet Hell, The Siren, Dark Chest of Wonders, Wish I Had an Angel, and their cover of Over The Hills And Far Away are all amazing. Also check out Epica, another great band that started not too long after Nightwish; Epica's singer Simone Simons is top tier; she does a duet with Floor of Sancta Terra in their Live Retrospect show that's absolutely worth reacting to.
Nightwish Army, Blue Mountains Corps, Australia. Nightwish is from Finland. What Gabriel said! Marko Hietala is SUCH a beastly Phantom! His performance of "High Hopes" is astonishing! Tarja's solo album "Harus" is also very worth a listen! Wacken 2013 Nightwish gig was AWESOME! Different singer, Floor Jansen, but top notch! Once in a Century concert! Tuomas Holopainen on keyboards is the mastermind behind Nightwish and their sound - Symphonic Metal. Tuomas is THE Metal Mozart! Full orchestration and no two songs are ever the same apart from filling the listener with emotions - sometimes ALL of them in the one opus! P.S. Tarja has a rainbow of outfits and mike-stands and mikes to match!
I think they played this down one key, as Marco tunes his bass one tone lower. Tarja, from Finland, is a lyric soprano who studied Lieder in Germany. She was singer 1996-2005. They had a pop singer from 2006-2012. 2013 to current is Floor, a classically trained rock vocalist
@@Chris-xe5ts You can study Lieder. As in Lieder by classical composers like Schubert. These type you can study on music academies and that is maybe what John meant. I mean it´s overall a good idea for upcoming opera singers to learn how to sing Lieder (emotion yet softer without belting) and lyric singers do it all the time.
Hi Gooble, thanks for this analysis, Nighwish are from Finland and this was their first singer Tarja Turunen, it was recorded in 2005. Maybe you should also check out the Amsterdam version, there is a new singer there, I was at the concert myself and can only tell you good things about it. So now I wish you a lot of fun with the Nightwish Army . General Gabriel will tell you a lot more .
Nightwish likes to call themselves "Symphonic metal" - and they do that, from metal to symphonic, and blending sort of cross-over between two, with some classical like pieces,m and some metal ones as well. That also includes a trained classic singer. The one you reacted was their first vocalist - Tarja Turunen; now, they are with the third singer, Dutch girl named Floor Jansen. I'm sure Gabriel will drop in soon, with his list of oldies-goldies (to say the truth, not only goldies, but since last longplay came 3 years ago, I feel justified) to follow. Floor is also singing solo, and did quite a bit of interesting covers - first for Dutch show "Beste Sangers" (Best SIngers), then a few more in Covid era. They're all sort of influenced by Nightwish style, but much more focusing on Floor vocals - which are really great. I'd say perhaps it's better to start with some Floor songs, to get you ready for a harder vibe from Nightwish - or you can jump in Nightwish tracks, being aware some of their best compositions are quite heavy - for a first listen especially.
Reporting for duty from the UK Nightwish Army. Welcome to the Nightwish reactions world. One of the most reacted to bands on the planet. Enjoy your journey. Gabriel will be in touch. lol.
@@gooblereacts Our first language (finnish) is one weird 'tongue' already in itself, not to mention you're trying to figure out "What did she say" or some one's trying to start learning it.. 🙈💥😹
Like Marco the best. Tarja is just being her beautiful self. Neither one is with the band anymore. The drummer isn't active drumming with band but he's still behind the scenes. Tarja had to learn to sing metal because she classically trained. The current singer sings this with Henk Poort at Beste Zangers and the current version in the Netherlands. The colors are just Tarja
Want to note she also had the flu during this concert. React to Tarja’s solo work. Want more of her higher range react to “Supremacy” live at Woodstock.
The group is Finnish. Tarja was their first singer. Start with Ghost Love Score from Wacken 2013. This is with their 3rd vocalist, Floor Jansen (Yansen). Follow Gabriel's list and you won't go wrong.
Hello there, greetings from UK @gooblereacts That was a great reaction, thank you 😊 I add my voice to the others who recommend that you listen to "Ghost Love Score" from the Wacken 2013 concert. That should give you a good idea as to what Nightwish and Symphonic Metal are all about, and you would meet Floor 😁
I always prefer the Buenos Aires version. In some way it is more authentic. And also is the best Floor's introduction, the crowd felt in love with her at that moment.
Did se that tour in stockholm sweden 2005..just few days before this was recorded in helsinki finland..about one month later tarja left the band. The concert was truly unforgettable..
in case nobody else mentioned it it is mentioned that she was quite sick and had stopped talking before the show to try to save her voice.. i personally refer to this as the best version of the song that will ever be.. i recall seeing a video of her shortly after they fired her crying because she just couldn't believe they did it knowing she was classically trained.. and it was for doing solo work not related to there genre.. i've never been able to listen to anything by them without her i tried just couldn't .. might want to check out over the hills and far away a gary moore cover they also did
You are witnessing the last few minutes of Tarja's 9 year career with Nightwish, for she was fired by open letter at the end of this concert. There is a huge backstory to what happened after, you might want to explore, for it led to public, media backlash, causing much pain to the men that agreed to remove her for cause. The keyboardist, Tuomas Halopanien, is the originator of the band, Empuu, the guitarist, & Tarja were school friends, & original members since 1996. The band is from Finland,, but today's lead singer Floor Jansen, is Dutch. She more recently did her rendition of Phantom, as it was never sung again, after the huge turmoil of that 2005 event. I would much appreciate you covering that one in 2022 featuring Henke Porte, in Amsterdam, Floor,"s home of origin. Henke is a trained opera, classical singer, & is the country's known artist in that regard, although Floor a classically trained young singer was barely known until 2019 when she was invited to be on a weekly TV show that year featuring Netherlands Singers. Henke too was on that season, & may I say Floor Jansen made a name for herself ...Finally! Floor asked him to sing Phantom with her, the rest is history. You might enjoy watching that show with them. It is listed as Beste Zangers, 2019, Phantom,..... additionally other songs with Floor you would enjoy, such as Shallow, which she now owns, IMO, LOL! Also if you plan going further with NW, please see the letter, written to Tarja, & her response letter... all public & on You Tube, for their next album has many songs based on the turmoil of that event, such as "Poet & the Pendulm '. TUOMAS HALOPANIEN is a genius writter/arranger that works with the London Philharmonic Orchestra for his Symphonic accompaniment. Thank you, & look forward to following you on your NW journey. You will admire, & hopefully love it!

To answer your question on the favorite song: they have no weak songs and in general your favorite song will always be the one they heard the last. Given your background I would recommend watching the more complicated songs first, so Ghost Love Score and The Greatest Show on Earth, then listen to a couple of the shorter ones and if you know them a bit, read the backstory and listen to the Poet and the Pendulum. Gabriel's lists are a great help. My personal favorite is at this very moment Dead Boys Poem from the Buenos Aires concert, but that can change in the next hour.
They are Finnish. It's gorgeous. Both of the vocals are so good. Tarja was the first Nightwish singer. The current singer also did this but without Marko. Floor Jansen (Dutch) did a version on the Dutch TV show Beste Zangers with Henk Poort who played the Phantom for years on the stage in Holland, then they did one with Nightwish in Holland at a concert last year, I believe. 😊 You should check all of them out. Also, some operatic vocals on the most recent Nightwish album with the song Shoemaker. There is a lyric video which is awesome and some live versions too.
If you want to look into their original music with this vocalist (Tarja Turunen, their original singer), I highly recommend the official music videos for "Nemo", "Bless The Child", and "I Wish I Had An Angel". Classical-Music-Meets-Power-Metal is a cool genre.
Welcome to the world of Nightwish and symphonic metal. They really are a unique band; each song is different and awesome. It's always amazing watching new people discover this awesome band and I hope you continue to explore their music. Now you have to watch Floor's version too. Hello from the NW Army Portugal. 🤘
As mentioned already before: "Ghost Love Score" from Wacken 2013 is the perfect entrance to Nightwish and it will introduce Floor Jansen (from the Netherlands) their third and current singer to you. I was lucky to see and shoot them eight days after that legendary Wacken concert at M'era Luna Festival.
This song is all about the energy for me it is not about technical singing, they are a metal band after all, not performing a stage musical or opera. Most of your requests for more Nightwish will be with Floor (the third lead singer) and a lot will be for the "Floor sampler song" Ghost Love Score which is as good a place as any to continue although not even in my top 10 favourite Nightwish songs! Most of my favourite Tarja songs don't have good live versions as they either weren't played live when the recording of the concerts was happening or the recording quality is poor. The 3 leads are all very different in their vocal styling as you have Tarja who is more classical, Annette who was more pop influenced and Floor who prefers to belt in a more traditional rock style but is capable of singing in a classical style when she wants.
Tarja was sick during this performance. She can do this a lot better - but due to illness her voice was just not in her normal form. Nightwish - Ghost Love Score - Wacken 2013 live performance - (make sure it's this version and not other live versions)
This is Andrew Lloyd Webers favourite version of phantom of the opera. Considering she was unwell and there is talk she'd not performing that night. But the end of the era concert is a benchmark for others to meet. Tarja and Marko performance clean knocks it out of the park.
Hi from Finland 🇫🇮 I jumped on your channel through the Dimash reactions, happy that you’re a fellow Dear now 😊 But it’s awesome to see that people still discover Nightwish and especially listen to songs that have the founding members (Tuomas Halopainen, Tarja Turunen and Emppu Vuorinen). I’m a Tarja-forever -fan of Nightwish. I’ve met her a few times and heard her sing as the lead singer of Nightwish, for me her voice with their music is the true sound of Nightwish. I think I’ve mentioned the bands name enough by now 😂 Anyhow, lovely reactions! Keep up the good work and catch you in the next one! 😄👍🏽
Welcome to Nightwish, where every song is different, and there isn't a bad song in the bunch. The most common introduction to Nightwish's original work is "Ghost Love Score" live from Wacken 2013. That features their third vocalist, Floor Jansen, and is a vocal smorgasbord of Floor's ability to sing in a number of different styles. Since you're a vocalist, that would be a good place to start, I think. The keyboardist, Tuomas Holopainen, is the composer, arranger and lyricist for the vast majority of their songs, and is often called the "Metal Mozart." I hope that you enjoy your trip down this musical rabbithole, and have subscribed to follow your journey.
Welcome to the world of Symphonic Metal and the world of Nightwish. Deepest rabbit hole you can imagine, and yes you have seen nothing yet. You have started your experience with the fantastic Queen of Metal and the original singer Tarja, with the mentioned Ghost Love Score from Wacken 2013 you will listen to the current singer, the goddess valkyrie of Metal Floor Jansen. She will blow your mind. Promised. The hole style of music is very popular in Europe, but like always, most unknown in the USA, because of your music industry, not supporting international artists. For Symphonic Metal it is also very surprising to take a look at the 2nd unbelievable band - EPICA. The one I have to mention first > "Once Upon a Nightmare" Omega Alive. Maybe other songs are really not your kind of music, but to experience Simone Simons (the siren of Metal) is fantastic, too.
Nightwish's current singer Floor Jansen is an incredible, versatile singer - worth checking out "Ghost Love Score" at Wacken 2013. Floor also does a wonderful version of Phantom on the Beste Zangers show, with Henk Poort.
If you want to hear both of them sing something totally different. Then I would suggest that you listen to their song ‘Left On Mars’. Which is about 19 years later when they finally teamed up again! It’s different, original and totally awesome! Also, if you haven’t been told this already, Tarja🥀 was sick with the flu at the time, but you wouldn’t have noticed because she did a great job of covering it up, as the old saying goes, the show must go on!✨
There definitely seemed to be an element of hesitation or uncertainty in your comments at the end there. Andrew Lloyd Webber, who wrote the original, has gone on record to say that this is his favourite cover version and many, many other vocal coach/opera singers who have reacted to this version have said "I came to hear Tarja but stayed for Marco"! The band still perform this live albeit with their current lead singer Floor Jansen and Henk Poort special guests as the Phantom as Marco is no longer with the band (Henk has performed for years in musical theatre and tries very hard to do the same metal version that Marco does here, but doesn't quite pull it off imho). Nightwish, and most Symphonic Metal music, is quite a ride, often incorporating many styles including Celtic ballads through to straight up rock and metal and can be very story driven. Many Nightwish songs also use backing tracks recorded by the London Philharmonic Orchestra which adds huge depth to the soundscape they are creating.
Henk Poort has the minor problem of having done it for years in the full Phantom show, so doing a metallic version is still going against lifelong training and conditioning.
"Cool" is cool 😂. Nightwish really caters to all age groups, so no worries there. Since you come from Opera I think Ghost Love Score from Wacken 2013 would be a great intro to their original music. It's also the most reacted to song on UA-cam for a reason. Be aware that this was Tarjas last concert with the band, so in Wacken you are going to witness Floor Jansen. Have fun!
haha, a good reaction.I like this rendition of Phantom because all the instrumentation, the setting, buildup, lights, atmosphere etc. is great and Tarja and Marco did a good job to 'Intensify' the track (which makes it one of the best covers). but yes, when it comes to real world class singing with this extraordinary band then you have to listen to Floor Jansen (and I guess the next one will be 'Ghost Love Score'). in difference to what many Nightwish fans believe, the band/composer/singer (floor) is not just a symphonic metal band but they are actually also kind of professional Holllywood like musicians for all kind of styles (general musicality over all genres)..
Definitely try _Ghost_ _Love_ _Score_ live at Wacken 2013 next! Different female singer there (Floor Jansen), but both Tarja and Floor are fantastic. Everyone you've seen here is Finnish but Floor is Dutch. Interesting that you didn't think Tarja and Marko's voices fit well together, for me that's part of what makes this performance great, but I'm glad you noticed the quality of the instrumentalists too!
Good start to Nightwish but not usually the first people react to. "Ghost Love Score" Official live at Wacken 2013, In that one the Singer is Floor Jansen (the 3rd and current lead). The singer in this one is the original singer Tarya. Nightwish started in 1996, The band is finish and the current singer Floor is Dutch. There music is actually pretty diverse, and they are excellent technically and their live perfornances are amazing.
Wasn't that Taria's last performance with Nightwish? She is kinda divalike while current singer is more rocker type. And booth have their unique styles. No wrong or right here.
I prefer Tarja's version of Ghost Love Score while most of the feedback will be for Floor. But both are fantastic. Anything you do with Nightwish will be enjoyed.
Subbed to enjoy Nightwish/Floor rabbit hole with you.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Nightwish and Symphonic Metal. This is an epic version of the classical musical song. The singer Tarja was the first singer of the band, they have had three in total. The current is Floor Jansen. They performed this song live again 17 years later in 2022, with the current singer Floor Jansen and a Dutch operatic singer Henk Poort. Please watch that as well. ua-cam.com/video/TM23gaT4zkY/v-deo.htmlsi=kNdYog7RVgMGKNWG The ending note from Floor on that performance is with full power. There is also a version with Floor and Henk sang this for the first time together on the show Beste Zangers ua-cam.com/video/plCScjvDOJM/v-deo.htmlsi=P-sWRlD2cRdHUDB6
thankfully they re not americans it was recording more than 10 years ago .even 10 years ago usa did not have metal symphonic bands with so professional rock opera metal female singers they come from scandinavia (finland norway sweden the netherland and germany)they speak 2 or3 languages and when they they speak and write much better english than regulars americans
If they had been American you would have heard them before. If you did not notice before, the US is rather self centered and provincial in its music choice. Tarja often matches her microphone and other accessories to her dress. That is part of her diva-role that she played in the band (and for the Tarja fans: that is not meant derogatory). There are now two equally incredible performances of this song by Nightwish. This one, with Tarja as diva and Marko as a totally insane Erik and one with Floor as a more traditional Christine and Henk Poort also sort of traditional. He is a musical theater/opera singer who has played the role often in the normal staged version (said to be considered one of the best by Andrew Lloyd Webber himself), but he adds grit to his voice in some parts. (He added that to his singing styles to honor Floor in Beste Zangers in 2019, when he was 63. Some old dogs do learn new tricks)
Tarja can reach much higher note, clearly and without any screaming - I've seen it in another video. So this wasn't the most she's able to do. This wasn't her limit.
Tarja is fired immediately after this concert because of artistic and private differences. Today she is successful solo, in various genres. She established opera singing in metal. And she still has the microphones: Tarja Shadow Play live Circus Life version. The most recent video. Album number 10 has just been produced. There will be no tour for this: Nightwish - Tribal (OFFICIAL LIVE)
Also I have to add since I’m originally born in Germany, that I hope that you eventually discover Rammstein and Till’s unique subsonic voice. There isn’t a band in the WORLD that matches their live performances and insanely unique concerts! A good entry to what it entails would be Rammstein- Du Hast Live from Paris (ua-cam.com/video/VQ9rkLIXF0c/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared) and as a personal favorite to hear a bit of a different tone from Till, Ich Tuh Dir Weh Live from Madison Square Garden (ua-cam.com/video/5l6Nc2o1JGs/v-deo.htmlsi=4J8hCq1gkbrNgIrG)! The band also wrote the song "Amerika" as a critique of the worldwide cultural and political imperialism of the United States. Rammstein fights with sarcasm and satire against the "bland americanization" of local cultures in "Amerika" by attacking US Cultural imperialism in the form of popular culture, food, fashion, and yes, even politics. They also found that another song of theirs that is critical of the United States is "Mein Land", believing that it critiques American racism and nationalism. Hopefully you’ll be able to enjoy them! Ps. A bonus song from just Till singing a piano version of Mein Herz Brennt (ua-cam.com/video/Dv6Th7kJ64Q/v-deo.html).
i was on her LAST concert in germany... she got mobbed by 2 of the members of nightwish and.. yeah...the rest is history.. iven had the chance to talk with her in 2006....she is just wonderful....
Just in case no one else has brought you the REST of the story here..... What you're watching here is the FINAL performance that Tarja Turunen gave as a member of the band. The band had been having serious issues for months and they finally came to a head before the hometown show for their DVD recording. (Their families are literally in the audience....) They left her an 'open letter' in her dressing room for her which she found after the show basically booting her from the band. THIS is the single finest performance of this version of the song you're likely to find.
Tarja Turunen has had a long solo career after Nightwish in both classical music and symphonic metal. Please react to her take on Mein Herr Marquis, Pie Jesu and Ave Maria by Paolo Tosti. She is amazing.
I't so hard to break down Nightwish to just one favourite song - but I would probably have to say Ghost Love Score. Although I like do like the original version with Tarja as the singer (the same singer that was in this video) rather then the more popular versions out there with Floor (the current singer). Nightwish have had three different singers (Tarja being the first, then Annette, then Floor who is the current singer). Tarja is the most classical in her vocal style, Annette is the most "pop" and Floor can kinda do both, with that versatility probably making her the most popular overall of the three...though I personally prefer Tarja's more classical style as I just feel her style give the band a more unique personality and better fits the dramatic musical style that they play. Other songs I love are Poet and the Pendulum and Nemo, but there are far too many great songs to list.
I found this band before this performance, and I drifted away because I didn't enjoy the heavy operatic style of their original singer. Their current singer (third) is, in my consideration, the greatest female voice I've ever heard, and has a much wider stylistic range as well as octive range. To hear a great deal of it in one performance, listen to "Ghost Love Score" from Wacken 2013 and you'll have your socks blown off. Welcome to the greatest composer of my lifetime, and the most incredible band I've ever heard.
I concur. Check this special one also, the current Nightwish singer Floor Jansen sang Phantom 17 years after this performance with Tarja. She sang with Henk, who was the Dutch Phantom for many years.
Since this is your first Nightwish reaction, it is my duty to give you the [updated] short history of the band concentrated by Ann Waychoff, one of the biggest Nightwish fan who has since passed away (and I am doing this in her memory):
" Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a Symphonic Metal band, with a female main singer.
So be prepared. lol "

The nightwish army returns
DO NOT INVOKE SOMETHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO RECEIVE
Symphonic Metal is such a beautiful genre, and Nightwish are one of the most influential pioneers. The funny thing is it was almost an accident they went into this direction, the guys and Tarja went to the same school, and after graduation they didn't know she had just started her classical singing training. Once they found out how much her voice had changed, instead of replacing her, Tuomas made his music fit her vocals. :) And Tarja had to figure out how to make her vocals suit this heavier music, which apparently cost her many tears in the record studio. But it was so so worth it. She's no longer with the band but she'll always be famous
Check out Sleeping Sun and Wishmaster from this same show! It really shows their original creations and a more rounded display of Tarja’s vocals.
"Musik" not "Lieder"
"Lieder" translates to "songs" and you cannot study it.
Kiitos from Finland.
BTW their voices blend really well 😃👌 #perfectmatch
Lovely❤ you found this masterpiece! I’m so thankful. Welcome to macigal world of symphonic metal band Nightwish. They come Finland.
Gabriel will be in touch. lol.
🤩👍💯💥🎼
"Kiitos!" = Thank You! ...in the end...
Neat reaction mi lady and keep on rockin´ with this magical band!

Thank you! 😃 I was wondering what she said!

Our first language (finnish) is one weird 'tongue' already in itself, not to mention you're trying to figure out "What did she say" or some one's trying to start learning it..
What I love most about this performance is how psychotic Marko's "Phantom" is... It fits so much better than the classic "clean" singing 🤪😂
Welcome to the magical world of nightwish
Symphonic metal from Finland.
Hello there, greetings from UK @gooblereacts
That was a great reaction, thank you 😊
I add my voice to the others who recommend that you listen to "Ghost Love Score" from the Wacken 2013 concert. That should give you a good idea as to what Nightwish and Symphonic Metal are all about, and you would meet Floor 😁
Ghost Love Score--Wacken 2013 Live......the entrance to the rabbit hole.
I always prefer the Buenos Aires version. In some way it is more authentic. And also is the best Floor's introduction, the crowd felt in love with her at that moment.

@PetrucchioDa neither of the two options.
Yay! Thank you! Please do show yourself during the whole music video, your expressions and reactions make your video so much more enjoyable!
Good start. You are going to be very surprised when you react to more of Nightwish music. Look forward to it. Be well.
Great reaction! Always happy to see a new Nightwish reactor realize they may be a fan.
Nightwish Army Italian Division present ! 🤘
Did se that tour in stockholm sweden 2005..just few days before this was recorded in helsinki finland..about one month later tarja left the band.
The concert was truly unforgettable..
Yes, more Nightwish 🙏
in case nobody else mentioned it it is mentioned that she was quite sick and had stopped talking before the show to try to save her voice.. i personally refer to this as the best version of the song that will ever be.. i recall seeing a video of her shortly after they fired her crying because she just couldn't believe they did it knowing she was classically trained.. and it was for doing solo work not related to there genre.. i've never been able to listen to anything by them without her i tried just couldn't .. might want to check out over the hills and far away a gary moore cover they also did
You are witnessing the last few minutes of Tarja's 9 year career with Nightwish, for she was fired by open letter at the end of this concert.
Still epic

You should check all of them out.
As mentioned already before:
"Ghost Love Score" from Wacken 2013 is the perfect entrance to Nightwish and it will introduce Floor Jansen (from the Netherlands) their third and current singer to you.
Glad you had a chance to check out Nightwish! Might I suggest checking out Marco Hietala's solo work? Voice of My Father is an amazing song!
And with Nightwish in Amsterdam (and with the Marcel Fischer band also in a concert in Amsterdam).
Marko is the best male vocalist of his generation, imho. He’s a god and I think they’re fantastic together. ❤
I would say its joakim. He is so good, that he use floor as a outrosinger to his music videos.
If you want to hear both of them sing something totally different. Then I would suggest that you listen to their song ‘Left On Mars’. Which is about 19 years later when they finally teamed up again! It’s different, original and totally awesome! Also, if you haven’t been told this already, Tarja🥀 was sick with the flu at the time, but you wouldn’t have noticed because she did a great job of covering it up, as the old saying goes, the show must go on!✨
They are from Finland ❤
Have fun!
Or maybe Stargazers at Tampere. Floor goes fully classical.
try Ghost Love Score live at Wacken 2013 and then follow it up with Nightwish Phantom of the opera ft Henk poort
Check Ghost Love Score by Floor Jansen, to check other aspect of the band (the current singer is not as “operatic” but definitely very versatile!!
This is definitely fun version!
Omg street fighter!
Ok. I'm glad you appreciate that this is a rock show, not La Scala or the Royal Opera House.
the North German Division of the Nightwish Army reports !! We are there.
haha, a good reaction.I like this rendition of Phantom because all the instrumentation, the setting, buildup, lights, atmosphere etc. is great and Tarja and Marco did a good job to 'Intensify' the track (which makes it one of the best covers). but yes, when it comes to real world class singing with this extraordinary band then you have to listen to Floor Jansen (and I guess the next one will be 'Ghost Love Score'). in difference to what many Nightwish fans believe, the band/composer/singer (floor) is not just a symphonic metal band but they are actually also kind of professional Holllywood like musicians for all kind of styles (general musicality over all genres)..
Tarja actually has a very strong chest register, but she’s only started using it heavily in the last decade or so.
Tarja actually had the flu during this performance .
Please use Gabriel's list when you check out Nightwish performances. They're best live
For an 56 years old Metalhead with still long hair is that normal Music
Yes, that was the last concert of Nightwish in this combination. I was there. Such an end of an era.
In Nightwish cowers(tributes) the point is not do song note by note the same way as original.Point is to bring something new and own vision...

Doesn't matter if it's Tarya or Floor the crowd is equally enthusiastic. Nightwish fans are beyond compare. 18.55
Marko and Tarja reunited a couple or so years ago and sang this
Marco definitely the best Phantom voice ever
Speaking about cool, those games in the background, Street Fighter II arcade? That's cool :)
Next Check up for you i think is Epica = Heavy Metal was never a boring Music
thankfully they re not americans it was recording more than 10 years ago .even 10 years ago usa did not have metal symphonic bands with so professional rock opera metal female singers they come from scandinavia (finland norway sweden the netherland and germany)they speak 2 or3 languages and when they they speak and write much better english than regulars americans
Note: singer and drummer were quit ill for this performance.
Tarja can reach much higher note, clearly and without any screaming - I've seen it in another video. So this wasn't the most she's able to do. This wasn't her limit.
Thanks for Nightwish and Dimash. That one pretty cool version of Phantom but i prefer Floor's version She has more powerful voice, much longer notes
Lol
Cool is never out
Come for Tarja, stay for Marko! More Nightwish, please!
Symphony of Enchanted lands by Rhapsody of fire is the most epic song in this genre imo Operatic into
Real star of this show is Marco :)
SHE DID IT WELL? Girl we're talking about TARJA FUCKING TURUNEN
Tarja is fired immediately after this concert because of artistic and private differences. Today she is successful solo, in various genres. She established opera singing in metal. And she still has the microphones:
Tarja Shadow Play live Circus Life version.
The most recent video. Album number 10 has just been produced. There will be no tour for this:
Nightwish - Tribal (OFFICIAL LIVE)
Can you please react to Sleeing Sun Live, it's on their original Chanel
Marco Hietala😍😍!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
i was on her LAST concert in germany... she got mobbed by 2 of the members of nightwish and.. yeah...the rest is history.. iven had the chance to talk with her in 2006....she is just wonderful....
This is the Nightwish I love and miss
Been flipping out over TARJA'S and Marko's South American tour that just kicked off !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
☮☮💘💘💥💥
I found this band before this performance, and I drifted away because I didn't enjoy the heavy operatic style of their original singer. Their current singer (third) is, in my consideration, the greatest female voice I've ever heard, and has a much wider stylistic range as well as octive range. To hear a great deal of it in one performance, listen to "Ghost Love Score" from Wacken 2013 and you'll have your socks blown off. Welcome to the greatest composer of my lifetime, and the most incredible band I've ever heard.
Last note is an E6
Can you do the version with floor and henk port, too
The Nightwish version with Floor & Henk Poort may be more to your liking better.
I concur. Check this special one also, the current Nightwish singer Floor Jansen sang Phantom 17 years after this performance with Tarja. She sang with Henk, who was the Dutch Phantom for many years.
