      @@zacharyjacobson6512 the actress who plays Amy really was a neurologist in real life. Everything she said she understood it herself cause she did it for real. She was the only one in the series who played her actual professional in real life in the screen. The rest are actors and actress only from that standpoint.

    As an autistic adult, thank you for speaking out in support of people with autism and offering education on the topic Mayim.
    In my experiences, there are a lot of people who are woefully ignorent about autism. What it is, how it affects people, everything. And to have someone as well known as you speak out like this is, to my mind at least, a good thing.
    Although I still don't like the label of autism being a dysfunction of the nervous system.

    I wonder if that increase from whatever to 1 in 68 isn't an actual increase in the amount of people with autism, but a better understanding of what autism is and it's range so more people are being identified as such even though at the 'bottom end' of it, a person might just seem quirky/socially awkward and not rainman or worse (like the people who say nothing but grind their teeth.)

    • @terencekreft482
      @terencekreft482 3 роки тому +3

      We forget that autism was only identified as the condition we know in 1943.
      It wasn't until 1981 that it was realised that adults have it as well, so yes a lot of that increase is to do with detecting existing autists rather than it increasing in numbers.

      @@terencekreft482 Aspergers wasn't even recognized as a standardized condition until the 1990's It is now considered to be part of the Autistic Spectrum. My problem with "The Spectrum" is that they have made it so broad of a spectrum that pretty much every person on Earth "could" be labeled as "Being on the Spectrum" A child is aloof? Spectrum, a child is too "hyper", spectrum, a child is a bit slow, spectrum. Sadly parents have been found to coach their kids into faking certain conditions because then they can be labeled as "Disabled" and the state gives them money.

    Autism will always follow us thought all our lives, and it may be difficult sometimes, but there's always a way out to a better life with this condition, so that's all I have to say at respect, To be honest, living wiith this diagnostic will always be difficult, but I know that, with the necessary help, we will succeed in what we really want to do. Words from a real autistic, me :)

    While I have deep respect for Mayim Bialik and neuroscience, it is itself, a scientific post-facto scientific antecedent augmentation. As both a survivor of infantile/child trauma and a trauma practitioner who was not ever scientifically validated and led to understand what was happening to me from that perspective. I am one of those who know that "spiritual recovery" means trauma recovery and patriarchs are advancing disintegrative/integrative capacities, know to question with strong consideration, that the Autism spectrum may well likely be the effect stream for infants/toddlers, children being interceded on during those biological age stages already placed in neuromolecular and neurosensory expanded states of consciousness, as opposed to later in life. Let us all hope that science continues to pursue, without delay, solutions for neuromolecular and neurosensory augmentative effects.

It should be Lever Burton a life long educator. They only gave have him a one show try out to appease the African American Community. The fact these people would let a serial women's harasser stay until pressure from the public made him step down. It could, but it could just as easily be due to the phenomenal increase in sales of marmalade over the years. You have no evidence for either thesis and neither does your hero Mr Wakefield. Remember, correlation does not mean causation.

    • @dee_dee_place
      @dee_dee_place 2 роки тому

      The 1st vaccination was given in 1796. Vaccines have been around for MORE THAN 2 CENTURIES.
      I'm 64. My generation, The Boomers, were given every vaccination made, & there have been few Autism Spectrum cases in my generation. I, myself, have received multiple MMR, Hep A/B, Flu, Pneumonia, & Covid19 vaccinations & 1 polio vaccination, as well as multiple testings for TB, & I DO NOT have Autism. My 2 Siblings received the same vaccinations, & they DO NOT have Autism either.
      If you are so interested in the causality of Autism, try getting an education in the sciences, & do your own research studies instead of being LAZY (that's right, LAZY) & spouting off unfounded garbage. Your contribution to the subject of Autism is pointless, either find a verifiable cause for Autism or make yourself useful, elsewhere.
