Ultimate Spider-Man is the best comic you’ll ever read especially if you’re a Spiderman fan! The stories really do still hold up all these years later and it feels like reading a Netflix series.

For the first two years or so, this series was GREAT! It’s had good issues since, but it’s never been as good as the first few issues and arcs. I’m afraid to read the early issues now because they probably don’t hold up as well, or are dated. Thanks for doing this.

I’ve reread the whole this a few years back, and I gotta say I think it holds on pretty well. The covers, with the computer graphics, are what feels most dated. But the reread gave me an appreciation of Peter Parker’s character arc that I didn’t fully grasp the first time around, reading it month by month. Obviously not every story is a home run, but as a whole I think reading the entire series is one of the best, most quintessential experiences for a comic book fan

I watched some videos on the Ultimate Spider-Man in some of my favorite Comic book UA-cam channels such as Comicstorian, Near Mint Condition, Maddogg Comics, and Comics Explained.
I have 20 Collected Edition Volumes of Ultimate Spider-Man because my Dad ordered vol 2, Vol 6, Vol 11, and Vol 16. I still need to get Vol 21, Vol 22, Ultimate Spider-Man Vol 2, Vol 3, the Death of Ultimate Spider-Man, The Ultimate Spider-Man Miles Morales Ultimate Collection Book 2 and Book 3.
Ultimate Spider-Man is one of the best Spider-Man runs ever!!! I'll collect Ultimate Spider-Man by Jonathan Hickman when I get the chance.
Other than that, I need to read all of the Ultimate Universe.

You should do a Scarlet Spider (Ben Reily) essential readings

I’ve included Scarlet Spider series in the video listing Every Spider-Man run. I’m not sure if the character has enough material for his own video. Other than the Clone Saga, he only resurfaced in the last ten years or so.

Could you do comics that inspired the x-men films?

      That would be a very short video… let’s see…
The first movie is an original idea… Wolverine joins the team along with other heroes in X-Men Giant Size 1 (1975), and Rogue in the From the Ashes storyline in the early 80s.
X2 borrows heavily from God Loves, Man Kills, but loses the religious aspect, I think.
X3 is a very, very loose adaptation of The Dark Phoenix Saga.
Wolverine Origins is also an original story that uses material from the comics but no one specific story. There are elements from the Weapon X storyline.
The Wolverine is a bad and loose adaptation of his first limited series.
Logan is based on Old Man Wolverine, but loses the dystopian element, changes a lot of the plot and includes X-23, which has her own limited series.
X-Men First Class is a heavily adapted take on the original team. It obviously relates to the series X-Men First Class but the best reading material would be the Children of the Atom limited series.
Days of Future Past is also an obvious reference to the story of the same name and a lot of plot lines hold up, mostly trading Kitty Pryde for Wolverine.
X-Men Apocalypse is closely based on the X-Factor story in Fall of the Mutants, adapted for the movie roster.
And Dark Phoenix is a second attempt on the Dark Phoenix Saga, and an equal failure, unfortunately.

@@DamonWhatif Don’t mention it. Read the Claremont/Byrne run of the late 70s and early 80s, culminating with the Dark Phoenix Saga and Days of Future Past. It serves as basis for most adaptations and is the foundation for every X-Men comic afterwards

    • @comicbelief

Sure. The video will actually tackle Spider-Woman, Spider-Gwen, Silk, even Mary Jane… but yes, there are good Spider-Woman stories, by Bendis and other authors.
