Having money is better than not having money but no it doesn't guarantee happiness. Good luck with the boat, they are an expensive hobby. Ive owned two and loved both!
Money can indeed bring you happiness assuming you know and understand where how and why to spending it. This does not include working hard to get it. Does not include allowing yourself to be used. Does not include power buying for no reason by getting everything you want as soon as you can. Everything you outline as happiness with wealth as bad or problematic is avoidable with some guidelines and common sense.
Very philosophical and so true in so many of your ideas, like people hanging round and using you, very mature of you mate I loved your deodorant likeness to describe true friends
Woo! Congratulations on the boat bro! I hope it does good for ya for a long long time! I read a quote One Time by J Paul Getty I believe (Getty Oil tycoon) I don't remember it word for word but I remember the point of his quote was that if he could start over again he would not want to be rich.. he said it was extremely stressful and unfulfilling being rich because you become consumed with it and all you think about is where to invest your millions so that you can make even more. He said he missed out on the fine, fun, simple things in every day life that non-rich people get to experience and enjoy. I mean I do believe there are some rich people out there that has handled it well and has enjoyed their life but I think it's because they haven't allowed their money to become their whole identity.. I have always liked psychology type subjects and I have always been a very emotional and empathetic type person yet I am also very opinionated haha I always enjoy hearing serious talks.
Gotta find happiness with the simple things that cost little to no money. Bonfires with your close ones and getting to experience new places and things. Gotta life YOUR like how YOU want it don’t let other people talk you down!
I know a lot of very wealthy people through my professional career --- most of them are miserable. Most of these people do not have much compassion or empathy. It is a what can you do for me mentality -- very fake friendships. Money controls their lives - at the expense of real life experiences. I am 76 - have seen it all - for the most part - not good.
You made plenty of sense. Sometimes too, the experiences are just by being with the people around you. Absolutely surround yourself with the true friends, but even then there's going to be experiences with them that are utterly priceless. Money is 100% the root of all evil. It's horrifying who will come out of the woodwork when you have plenty of money in the bank. And these are people you do NOT want in your life. BTW did someone actually say to you to put on deodorant? 🤣🤣🤣
Money is the root of all evil. Money does not make you happy. So, send me all your money to unburden yourself and I'll be happy to get rid of it for you. 🤣
Money allowed you to buy that truck and camper shell, lithium powered battery pack, put gas in that truck, bought that fishing gear and camera gear and allowed you to put up these videos and that makes ME happy! LOL Don't misquote the Bible, it's the LOVE of money that is the root of all evil, in other words, greed!
Mate I would love some of your misery I mean non happiness, lol,😏 by your😘 definition there son shine... But hey I get what u mean. And in response to that I have to say,,, you must have AWESOME parents. You must've also had a good solid up bringing. Because it's having good morals n principles that makes one have the outlook & positive attitude that U have . As U guys have previously stated it's the love of money that's the sin. Especially an unhealthy love. And having good standards with a good education & upbringing n all that good stuff that's what makes you wise with what U do with money , coz like u said , it could help get you to acquire alot of life experiences thru exploration and going on thoz intrepid journeys even within your own backyard country, I mean America is after all a great and huge country. so big ups to U little buddy. I should say lil big buddy coz ur not a slim or a lean little chappy are ya lad. & U look like ur pretty tall like my 6ft nephews... I've seen a cpl of ur episodes now, this one might be the 3rd one I've watched, tho not in any chronological order and MAYTE,,, you're truly living the dream there pal. And it's not just an American dream coz ppl worldwide are doing it. Im an ol' geezer and I've bin SO dreaming of giving up suburbia for life on the road bro. And when I officially become a pensioner in cpl more years that'll be me, score me a van, feck it out to be self contained, then hit the Rd jack and travel the circumference of my gr8 lil ol' ccountry. It's a bit of a trend in my corner of the world, here doan under. I'm a native NZer (New Zealand but in my native tongue it's known as Aotearoa meaning the Land of the Long White Cloud ,,, made up of two large Islands called North island, & South island. ). Both islands are from two different plates M8, giving them slightly different topography. The north island leans more towards a sub tropical climate and ecology where as the South island is more Alpine, and is alot colder and has alot more snowy alpine mountains. But in the north where I hail from has beautiful beaches and sand dunes. Last year when I was working as a Freedom Carpark warden traveling around our district region checking thoz carparks making sure campervan travelers and holiday makers don't overstay but move in to the next one or just rotate them like the vehicle dwellers do. But just kp to local Council bylaws n stuff and there's alot more ppl doing it especially alot of retirees and elderly. And councils are providing more relevant facilities upgrading toilets to ones with showers and designing them to a more modern but with artsy fartsy flare like instead of boring brick buildings to mosaic style tilings and glass bricks I mean they look really myean ( kiwi slang for awesome but with a mockery pronunciation Aussie accent lol)... Down under, here in NZ ... We're situated slightly tucked under our big brother L'Australia ... BUT we pride ourselves as our own individual identity n plus WE'RE the first Country. IN. THE WORLD to see the sun rise and my native ETHNIC origin homeland prior to being the first ppl to settle here in NZ but our original homeland may have been partly from the Mayans Incas and Aztecs becoz native Easter Islanders are part of our Polynesian ancestry too so our i.e Ancient Homeland is the same beginnings from them too as well as the native Hawaiian Samoan and Tahitian. Theres other groups too like Tokelauans Niueans Tongans, Rarotongans and Cook Islands. The Hawaiians are our distant cousins being the northern most Pacific island people and my native Maori race are the southern most of the Pacific Polynesian ethnic races , but as a Colony of the English, they call us kiwi's. But axshilly a real kiwi is our native national lil ol' flightless nocturnal bird m8y... Well enough of that little buddy. I shall enjoy watching you living life on the road , I suspect tho , U always head home to your folks every now n then to touch.base n get abit of grounding and that's cool as. U look about 18ish and I follow a few different ppl doing what you do. Sum of them axshilly have a proper camper van n stuff. But hey, as long as you're living th dream M8 I could totally go for that, especially as a guy. We don't need to have all the mod com comforts of home just the. BASICS so being on the road with a 4x4 Toyota Hyluxy thingy M8, sweet az I reckon cobber. But yeh I read a cpl of other peeps comments and yes U do have all the necessities u need, , blinkn laptop , blinkin gennies n portable chargers n stuff. A lil gas stove and a blinkin 5 gallon 20 litre water container of course. So yeh u may have had abit of financial support from mumsy n the ol' man ✌🏼😜👍🏼 but good for you son son. So I take it college is off the cards then coey or are U having a kind of sabbatical so to speak. Is that what U guys call Uni , a,k,a Varsity, a.k.a College. ? I always regret not doing that when I was a youngling, i.e, doing Tertiary study & being a Scarfy, lol... You're axshilly the second young person I follow on UA-cam doing this stuff living the dream... The ather young dudeling I follow is a young buck called Finn. Hm, his sib s & his folks were living on the ocean sailing the world in a yacht but now young Finnagin has bought himself a 2nd hand Van, & done it up coz its a bit of an oldy but a goody . But he's doing exactly what you are there youngling. And he has great supportive folx too bro...I suspect much like you do there young Columbus so yeh nah sweetaz, my fine young Hannibal. Live long n Prosper there chap n stay safe, maybe get u lil moggy bro , ya know, mans best friend,,, all the best buddy, take it easy n have a gr8 journey .. Ciao fer now, ,, Adios Amigos, muenos dios n all that stuff... Have a gr8 life and a jolly good journey .,Shabbat Shalom ( coz it is now the end of Sabbath Saturday the 19th of rOcktober MMXXIV,,, 8.54PM NZ time .... tTt....😇 God Bless...!!!...🙏🏾t🙏🏻
Whenever you are on the water, the smart thing is to wear a PFD. You never know when you will need it, Byron.
Very true -- very wise words. Money brings fake people out of the woodwork - users. Money often brings out the worst in people.
Having money is better than not having money but no it doesn't guarantee happiness. Good luck with the boat, they are an expensive hobby. Ive owned two and loved both!
Cool boat! Congratulations
Byron. Money is not the root of all evil! It's the love of money that's the root of all evil. There's a difference.
Money buys options, not happiness.
Common misquote- Money is the root of all evil.. it’s actually “the love of money is the root of all evil”
Money isn't everything, true. Try living without it sometimes.
As he obviously has not.
God bless you my dearest brother
Don't shy to chat

$$$$$$$$ and happiness is only great when and how you use it for good reasons not for just selfish pleasure .
Exactly right!
