Bruce Lee would be 73 Years Old Now! How Cool Would it Be to See him as a 73 Year old in the New EXPENDABLES Movie????? :) Comment Below. Would you want him to play a good guy or bad guy???

Actually, it's a good idea...:-D Stallone should consider putting Bruce Lee in E4, just like EA put Bruce Lee in the UFC...The question is though, who would act him? :-D

@@ahmad3652 I'm not really sure what their Yip Man's sons, Yip Chun and Yip Ching (who died not to long ago) has to do with anything. I'm also not sure what the first part of your comment has to do with the second part.
Samuel Kwok is one notable and famous disciple of both of Yip Man's sons. You can find footage of Master Samuel Kwok training with his Sifu's easily by typing his name in. You can also find footage of him training MMA fighters, he was the Sifu of the American underground bareknuckle boxing champion and can see him in the corner of his student when the American champ went to fight the undisputed underground bare knuckle boxing champ of Britian (maybe all of Europe, I can't recall). Anyways we shouldn't really be striving to be the next Yip Man or any prominent martial artist, we should strive to be a complete Martial artist and to maintain good health (part of that is making sure we can defend ourselves if the occasion arises that it is necessary) and be better than those who came before us. The world Yip Man lived in was much different than today, yesterdays world you could do well by mastering a single style but today it is necessary to cross train and learn more than one art. In the beginning it is good to learn a traditional style and get a firm foundation and understanding of that style. After a few years though one should look to learn from other Sifu's and masters in other styles to further their own understanding of martial arts and become more well rounded. We should as traditional martial artist students even learn from western boxing, some form of wrestling/grappling weather it be Shuai jiao, western wrestling, Greco-Roman wrestling, Sambo.. Wing Chun is a great art and we should strive to learn from other arts in order to deepen our understanding of Wing Chun (or whatever your main style you train is). You can find some Sifu's today practicing Chi Sao on the ground and using their traps and knowledge of chin-na and applying it on the ground and learning from BJJ and applying Wing chun to it and expanding their art so it can be used in different scenarios other than those used in the time of Yip Man. For me my first style was Hung Gar (famous for Tiger Crane combined fist form as well as the 5 animals and 5 elements Fist.) I trained it for years with one sifu, later I trained with a different sifu of the same style but a different lineage and it completely changed how I thought about the style and deepened my understanding. Since then I have trained Choy Li Fut as well as some contemporary Wushu and now my main style is Leung Family Fut Sao (Buddha Hand) Wing Chun. It is not connected to Yip Man Lineage..training Wing Chun has changed my Hung Gar when I practice Tiger Crane and other fist sets and made it more efficient and I can see many more applications within the forms than I could when Hung Gar was all I trained. I would say instead of striving to be the next Yip Man, strive to be more like what Bruce Lee's Philosophy was aiming at, to continually grow and seek out truth in martial arts, if you see something effective don't be affraid to use it. As far as the man in this video...this is not real Wing chun at all, when I watch him move he reminds me of a gymnast or a dancer who is very flexible and fit, learned these forms and some application but has no real foundation in them under a proper Sifu. He very likely acquired all his forms through video from the looks of how he moves and decided he was a master because he never met any true masters to realize he's so far from one.

I'm no expert. I have been practicing wing-chun for almost six years. I'm not going to leave a comment whether or not this guy has skill, knowledge a sifu or whatever! But what I CAN comment on is his structure!!! He's in front of the wooden dummy doing 3000 strikes and they were all a waste! Your back is arched! You know what does for your structure? Destroys it the second force comes in! That I noticed instantly. Our sifu is really big on structure and footwork and he would have instantly commented on that if he would see me practice that way! So if you are a sifu you should really work on that structure!!

@ Thomas you maybe 100% correct. Not being a butt, however when will you up load the proper way to use the Mook Jun? All fourms that you know. Again not being insulting, I just have looked at 100 video's his the only one that shows it right. You can see it, not done with blazing speed? When I learn the set I will up load until I will watch and wait

Javier Bustamante What would happen if you could just chill out of a moment? That's a serious question and I hope you genuinely benefit by discovering the answer instead of just coming at me bro. Your reputation is not at stake, just your mood.

+Mike P if I insulted, or defamed, or slander your daughter or son (implying you have one or had one in a hypothetical scenario) would you remain chilled out? of course not, because a child is something you care for and love, something that is of great importance to you, well not that wing chun is as important to me a child would, but you get the idea right? unlike you, I care and am passionate about this art, and of course it offends me and saddens me to see pricks like this guy jake mace (one of his many fake names), teach this altered and noneffective phony of a wing chun, and if you were PASSIONATE about wing chun, you would be too.

+Javier Bustamante I'm not going to say who i agree with, i have seen a lot of stuff on youtube that i don't like.. its hard and sometimes i falter but i try and just let them do their thing. If something doesn't work that someone teaches i hope the pupil is open enough to realize that and move on. I do my thing and i let them do their thing, if i let what they do frustrate or effect me i am loosing the battle.

Jiaqi Wang he does say it's Wing Chun training. Conditioning your body is counted as training.
Also, Ip Chun has a wooden man himself.
Ip Chun has also trained similarly on his wooden man.
Also, you taking the "I'll be back in five minutes" seriously just shows you're taking everything was too seriously indicating you're extremely annoyed. Did Ip Chun not tell you to remain calm like he does with literally all his students?
"Don't fight from anger, anger only leads to destruction, not victory"
I think you're the one bullshitting, friend.

After clearning student level ( in my school there are 8 level) , once he reach instructor level ( grey shirt ) they need to fight 1 hour to get black shirt , only then they can use wooden dummy . This guy is twat

and to reach that level you waste/invest a lot of money for each rank- everyone should be allowed to train with the wooden dummy or any other equipment without rank limits- "There are no limits, just plateaus..."

And I saw a video which proves that he is lier and trickster. hi jake i'm very glad to see your vids but i have some things to say and i wanna be honest with you about the things you say and about your trining thank you really much if you read all this, is true that your training works it can be seen in your good shape but that training is for fitness not for sport fighting or street fights, it always seems great when you do lots of movements in slow motion and all that works when you're practicing with your partners but in real life situations it won't work as well as the practice because the simple thing that you may never been in a extreme dangerous situation or you are not prepared for it, you're a dancer trying pretending to be a warrior, the day you're ready to take the life of someone, then only then you can call you a warrior or a fighter, when you feel the pain in your fits and the blood on your hands and the anger growing inside you, then you'll know what is to fight

    • @martinsalas4999
      @martinsalas4999 11 років тому +3

sorry if it sounds rude is just my opinion and is because i wanna help you and you have to know that your path is just beginning, you'll have to face a lot of situations where is not tai chi, not high and perfect kicks, not precision, not fast reacts only the fear trying to get you, i think the tittle of this vid is just joking because you can't seriously call you the new ip man just because you hit the wooden dummy or because you have fast movements, ip man is a legend, you're a youtuber that trains for the camera. ip man was the master of the legendary bruce lee a real genious and i don't see your student kicking asses nowhere (it's an expression), i think you're too young to teach but not to older to keep learning, i think you're profile name is wrong too because you have never trained with shaolins for years like them, it doesn't really matter just saying..

martin salas When you train a movement over and over again, thousands of times, that movement becomes second nature. It serves as muscle memory for when one gets in a situation, he reacts immediately without even thinking about his training. You spend a lot of time talking about taking lives and feeling blood on your fists, and it makes me wonder, have you been in the same position?

the upper hand should be an incline palm strike, Ceh Jeung (斜掌) that is meant to send forward energy to the opponent while intercepting the opponent's arm. Normally we will combine with the lower hand using Gang Sau (耕手) to send forward energy to intercept the body strike from the opponent. It seems that you are sending your upper hand left and right, which not gonna strike your opponent in front of you, but just blocking the arm of your opponent. This will be very contradicting with the concept of Wing Chun, Lin Siu Dai Da (連消帶打) [Cancel and strike the opponent at the same time]. Also, there's no way to combine Ceh Jeung with Daai Bong (lower Bong Sau), which is not logical if you ask me, to deflect a body strike with Daai Bong and strike with Ceh Jeung at the same time. Because in order for the Daai Bong to work, you have to slightly rotate your stance, Juun Ma (轉馬), to deflect the body strike of the opponent and after that only you will be able to hit. Not to be rude here, just trying to analyse the technique logically.

You are using your hands incorrectly with your kwan sao, as you turn your hips and core into the lower bong sao, you are are bringing the upper hand, the tan sao in the opposite direction and thereby negating the force. you can easily correct this by using your tan sao on the inside of the dummy arm instead of the outside, that way you are using the strength from the core to power both arms

So here's the problem with this demo. The dummy has shaped arms for good reason; forward pressure. And this guy keeps dropping his head forward as he demos giving his opponent the advantage. He also uses a sideways movement he calls power, but it changes his force angle and telegraphs his intention. When the body drops downwards at a pace relative to an incoming force there is a plyometric discharge up and outwards. The body does not need to be turned it needs to be TUNED to its own energetic discharge mechanizm. Clearly he does not understand the Art.

The wooden dummy is used in other styles of kung fu (I've even seen to implement in Kali/Escrima and Kenpo), so if this video was just for your style then I can't say you are using the dummy incorrectly. HOWEVER, you are calling this a 'Wing Chun' dummy training, mention Ip Man, say even this is a work out for a 'Wing Chun Specialist.' All of that makes you a flat out liar. There is NOTHING in this video that resembles Wing Chun regardless of lineage or school.

I do like your enthusiasm and the wide range of your videos, however I'm afraid that in going into breadth cost you the depth, what I mean is you know much but not precisely enough, much like popular science. how do I know? I practice wing chun and you forgot to mention the most important thing one must know when doing the mook yan jong form and this is the forward pressure, the fundamental element of wing chun, without it you lose, it's just as simple. conditioning, speed, all good and there are many youtube videos where people do the form completely wrong but with speed it looks always cool. I also know mandarin and your pronunciation of rén was too much rrrr and to less jjjj but that's much less grave than the wrong pressure you apply to the mook jong. if you do the same to real wing chung practicioner it will basically be a suicide. not to mention your stance. also what's about its leg? it's for a reason there...
p.s. who was your sifu? I suggest you make a collaboration with a good wing chun sifu.
p.p.s. what's with the title "the new ip man"? just to catch more views?
