@@ahmad3652 I'm not really sure what their Yip Man's sons, Yip Chun and Yip Ching (who died not to long ago) has to do with anything. I'm also not sure what the first part of your comment has to do with the second part. Samuel Kwok is one notable and famous disciple of both of Yip Man's sons. You can find footage of Master Samuel Kwok training with his Sifu's easily by typing his name in. You can also find footage of him training MMA fighters, he was the Sifu of the American underground bareknuckle boxing champion and can see him in the corner of his student when the American champ went to fight the undisputed underground bare knuckle boxing champ of Britian (maybe all of Europe, I can't recall). Anyways we shouldn't really be striving to be the next Yip Man or any prominent martial artist, we should strive to be a complete Martial artist and to maintain good health (part of that is making sure we can defend ourselves if the occasion arises that it is necessary) and be better than those who came before us. The world Yip Man lived in was much different than today, yesterdays world you could do well by mastering a single style but today it is necessary to cross train and learn more than one art. In the beginning it is good to learn a traditional style and get a firm foundation and understanding of that style. After a few years though one should look to learn from other Sifu's and masters in other styles to further their own understanding of martial arts and become more well rounded. We should as traditional martial artist students even learn from western boxing, some form of wrestling/grappling weather it be Shuai jiao, western wrestling, Greco-Roman wrestling, Sambo.. Wing Chun is a great art and we should strive to learn from other arts in order to deepen our understanding of Wing Chun (or whatever your main style you train is). You can find some Sifu's today practicing Chi Sao on the ground and using their traps and knowledge of chin-na and applying it on the ground and learning from BJJ and applying Wing chun to it and expanding their art so it can be used in different scenarios other than those used in the time of Yip Man. For me my first style was Hung Gar (famous for Tiger Crane combined fist form as well as the 5 animals and 5 elements Fist.) I trained it for years with one sifu, later I trained with a different sifu of the same style but a different lineage and it completely changed how I thought about the style and deepened my understanding. Since then I have trained Choy Li Fut as well as some contemporary Wushu and now my main style is Leung Family Fut Sao (Buddha Hand) Wing Chun. It is not connected to Yip Man Lineage..training Wing Chun has changed my Hung Gar when I practice Tiger Crane and other fist sets and made it more efficient and I can see many more applications within the forms than I could when Hung Gar was all I trained. I would say instead of striving to be the next Yip Man, strive to be more like what Bruce Lee's Philosophy was aiming at, to continually grow and seek out truth in martial arts, if you see something effective don't be affraid to use it. As far as the man in this video...this is not real Wing chun at all, when I watch him move he reminds me of a gymnast or a dancer who is very flexible and fit, learned these forms and some application but has no real foundation in them under a proper Sifu. He very likely acquired all his forms through video from the looks of how he moves and decided he was a master because he never met any true masters to realize he's so far from one.
I'm no expert. I have been practicing wing-chun for almost six years. I'm not going to leave a comment whether or not this guy has skill, knowledge a sifu or whatever! But what I CAN comment on is his structure!!! He's in front of the wooden dummy doing 3000 strikes and they were all a waste! Your back is arched! You know what does for your structure? Destroys it the second force comes in! That I noticed instantly. Our sifu is really big on structure and footwork and he would have instantly commented on that if he would see me practice that way! So if you are a sifu you should really work on that structure!!

Here are some wooden dummy, wooden man, mook jong, or mu ren zhuang techniques for the Martial Artist or Wing Chun Specialist! Only 3 Techniques here but more to come! Enjoy! *Thank you FRED so much for the AMAZING WOODEN MAN!
You are training your ego, not your silence. And btw, doing 1,000 in 5 minutes means 3.33 per second. Go home, you are too loud Jake, you don't respect yourself.
+demande.pardon theoretically is it possible, but i don´t think anybody can do it for 5 minutes, rather 30 seconds max. But Jake Mace do it very slowly. And I saw a video which proves that he is lier and trickster. For example (not in this video) he sayin cross double punch but this is cross block for kicks (I don´t exactly know ho it is called in english, but in my language is: Křížové vykrytí kopu).
Hello Jake! You have great enthusiasm and you teach with positive energy and drive! Just recently started watching you. I took martial arts (Tae Kwon Do)..a long... long time ago. I am 48 and stay fit now by working out, weights, cardio..yoga etc. I will continue to watch your teachings, and check out your videos........ I think I can add your teachings to my routine! Take care!
@ ShaloneCenter Ok few things, I love your instruction to the wooden dummy. Is there the second, third, fourth, fifth, etc etc part coming soon? I looked through all your videos I didn't see it. I love how the camera was set in a way so I can see what you were doing an how to do it correctly. Lastly can you give more applications meaning Man Sao - Wu Sao
I have been thinking about buying (or making) some arms and using a PVC core to put them in (budget issues here). What is your opinion on buying/making Mook Yan Jong?
Andrew Hageman its not too difficult to make one.. make an anual dig up and sink a new dummy party :) but I agree its rediculous how expensive something is that traditionally was made by people completely for free
Andrew Hageman If you truly understand the Jong, how to use it, and paid blood sweat and tears for your Kung Fu, you would not grieve over the cost of a good jong....and if you did not there is no point in getting a Jong...hit a bag.
hi jake i'm very glad to see your vids but i have some things to say and i wanna be honest with you about the things you say and about your trining thank you really much if you read all this, is true that your training works it can be seen in your good shape but that training is for fitness not for sport fighting or street fights, it always seems great when you do lots of movements in slow motion and all that works when you're practicing with your partners but in real life situations it won't work as well as the practice because the simple thing that you may never been in a extreme dangerous situation or you are not prepared for it, you're a dancer trying pretending to be a warrior, the day you're ready to take the life of someone, then only then you can call you a warrior or a fighter, when you feel the pain in your fits and the blood on your hands and the anger growing inside you, then you'll know what is to fight
sorry if it sounds rude is just my opinion and is because i wanna help you and you have to know that your path is just beginning, you'll have to face a lot of situations where is not tai chi, not high and perfect kicks, not precision, not fast reacts only the fear trying to get you, i think the tittle of this vid is just joking because you can't seriously call you the new ip man just because you hit the wooden dummy or because you have fast movements, ip man is a legend, you're a youtuber that trains for the camera. ip man was the master of the legendary bruce lee a real genious and i don't see your student kicking asses nowhere (it's an expression), i think you're too young to teach but not to older to keep learning, i think you're profile name is wrong too because you have never trained with shaolins for years like them, it doesn't really matter just saying..
***** i think he want to practice them all to improve he's skills like bruce lee did by learning and using all styles for creating the jeet kune do, the only problem here is that he don't know how is to get a real punch in the face or confront a pro fighter
martin salas When you train a movement over and over again, thousands of times, that movement becomes second nature. It serves as muscle memory for when one gets in a situation, he reacts immediately without even thinking about his training. You spend a lot of time talking about taking lives and feeling blood on your fists, and it makes me wonder, have you been in the same position?
You don't do bone on bone contact in WC. It would be very bad for a smaller person to do that against a larger person. You should make contact with the arms on the Jong using either the Yin or Yang side of the arm.
ShaolinCenter Are you serious? Have you ever actually sparred someone or fought an opponent if I used bone blocks against someone using the blocks you were using against the dummy. I would probably injure myself. Stop trying to say you know so many martial arts. A jack of all trades is a master of none.
chineseeyes2006 I agree, one hundred percent. I just can't find any video's other than this one that shows the form(s) correctly and slow enough to learn it.
chineseeyes2006 No anyone or any video. I took wing chun years ago. A friend of mine Bobby & Mike Warren, taught me two years private lessons. Traditional form of wing chun, its' hard to find someone that want's to teach correctly.Meaning I don't want to be level four or five. Then next thing I know I'm invite to learn Chum Kil and of course I pay extra for that training. Make sense.
When you use radius or ulna with training it is fine to strike with only one or the other for conditioning; but, never in a fight use either alone to block.
ULNAR is the correct spelling. This is important because we are being technical, whether speaking in Mandarin, Cantonese, or American English. I'm sure you can appreciate what might otherwise appear as a superficial digression; all the same, it is pronounced, just as Sifu Mace says "ulna", but medically written, it is ULNAR.
bruce had a more advanced preparation and training so he has an advantage over donnie, but both of them had a great potential to alway keep improving their skills, i think they're in the same level
There are many lineages, and of course, different types of wing Chun. Problem with this cat is that he has no structure, and his forms are nothing more than memorized movements. Just saying that he shouldn't be teaching people this stuff. It might get them hurt.
Na man this comment is true because he lacks the ability to adapt to a rehearsed routine and he missed some of the most important moves like Wu Sao and more
@@IOUharmony agreed. yea I thought he was a real traditional teacher but I trained under Wong Sheung Leung and wanted some new drills for my dummy but I take this man's words with a grain of salt. I see not a practical or proper form on a lot of the videos now. Did not do enough research before complimenting him lol 😂
Ok few things, I love your instruction to the wooden dummy. Is there the second, third, fourth, fifth, etc etc part coming soon? I looked through all your videos I didn't see it. I love how the camera was set in a way so I can see what you were doing an how to do it correctly. Lastly can you give more applications meaning Wusao, Mansao ?
the upper hand should be an incline palm strike, Ceh Jeung (斜掌) that is meant to send forward energy to the opponent while intercepting the opponent's arm. Normally we will combine with the lower hand using Gang Sau (耕手) to send forward energy to intercept the body strike from the opponent. It seems that you are sending your upper hand left and right, which not gonna strike your opponent in front of you, but just blocking the arm of your opponent. This will be very contradicting with the concept of Wing Chun, Lin Siu Dai Da (連消帶打) [Cancel and strike the opponent at the same time]. Also, there's no way to combine Ceh Jeung with Daai Bong (lower Bong Sau), which is not logical if you ask me, to deflect a body strike with Daai Bong and strike with Ceh Jeung at the same time. Because in order for the Daai Bong to work, you have to slightly rotate your stance, Juun Ma (轉馬), to deflect the body strike of the opponent and after that only you will be able to hit. Not to be rude here, just trying to analyse the technique logically.
I have to give you much respect, and admiration for your work...........and for those of you who think you know what his been through, I suggest you take a look at yourself. He is making it happen which is far more than many of us have done!
You are using your hands incorrectly with your kwan sao, as you turn your hips and core into the lower bong sao, you are are bringing the upper hand, the tan sao in the opposite direction and thereby negating the force. you can easily correct this by using your tan sao on the inside of the dummy arm instead of the outside, that way you are using the strength from the core to power both arms
Wonderful. Provides a simple and immediately engaging place to start with a Mu Ren Zhuang. I appreciate and salute your effort to create this video to help others on their journeys.
So here's the problem with this demo. The dummy has shaped arms for good reason; forward pressure. And this guy keeps dropping his head forward as he demos giving his opponent the advantage. He also uses a sideways movement he calls power, but it changes his force angle and telegraphs his intention. When the body drops downwards at a pace relative to an incoming force there is a plyometric discharge up and outwards. The body does not need to be turned it needs to be TUNED to its own energetic discharge mechanizm. Clearly he does not understand the Art.
You are totally right, if this demo was about fighting. But the dude is saying clearly its a bone conditioning and strengthening training, and the way he moves his body as it seemed is just for the sake of movement. At the end of the day you are also right this dude got a low understanding of the art.
Funny, im doing Kwan Sau in class now, and you dont sweep out, but roll wrist from taun into low bon sau, and drop elbow from low bon sau into taun, use ging to get the short male energy on the lower, softer female on the upper.
Yeesh. My sifu is disgusted by this, for good reason. Structure is non-existent, form is too rigid and he's throwing too much of his Tae-Kwon Do in the mix. Craziness...
ShaolinCenter What are your lineages (plural since you teach many different disciplines, some of which take years to reach competency). A simple question to dispel the critics and doubters, and one that any martial artist is willing to share.
The wooden dummy is used in other styles of kung fu (I've even seen to implement in Kali/Escrima and Kenpo), so if this video was just for your style then I can't say you are using the dummy incorrectly. HOWEVER, you are calling this a 'Wing Chun' dummy training, mention Ip Man, say even this is a work out for a 'Wing Chun Specialist.' All of that makes you a flat out liar. There is NOTHING in this video that resembles Wing Chun regardless of lineage or school.
SUBSCRIBED. I am happy someone would take the time to broadcast such techniques, and give an online audience a chance to see how we can benefit with the "wooden dummy man". I hope to improvise a similar dummy in my house off of a pre-existing post. Perhaps wrap some insulation foam tape around all the appendages.
Dai Gor some people are just happy/at peace with themselves - let go of whatever grievances you carry and more positivity will be able to enter your life and maybe you'll become one of them
What kind of fight? a fight for money? a fight for pride? a fight for respect? a fight between friends? a fight between martial artists? a fight for life? a desperate fight to the death? Different circumstances, different fights. You need a kind of innate ruthlessness to win in a serious fight with something more than pride on the line. Even if you know the techniques, would you have the resolve to execute them without hesitation in the heat of the moment?
He did it wrong like of course everybody can eat using spoon and fork but not everybody knows the right way. He hit the wooden in the wrong way. It's not just a wood, it's a medium to project the attacks we would receive from the opponents. If he keeps doing it that way im not sure if he would be able to resist any attacks from the opponents in wing chun way
of course no one is perfect, right? :) I bet even Ip Man and Bruce Lee or all the Kung Fu legends made several mistakes during their training process, too :)
I learned the first & second section of WC wooden dummy form, even some of your movement are similar, but the real form are so much more complicated, and have total of 8 section, my instructor said you must twist ur hand a little bit when u hit the wood, not hit the wood by bone directly *sorry for bad english&correct me if i'm wrong,
I do like your enthusiasm and the wide range of your videos, however I'm afraid that in going into breadth cost you the depth, what I mean is you know much but not precisely enough, much like popular science. how do I know? I practice wing chun and you forgot to mention the most important thing one must know when doing the mook yan jong form and this is the forward pressure, the fundamental element of wing chun, without it you lose, it's just as simple. conditioning, speed, all good and there are many youtube videos where people do the form completely wrong but with speed it looks always cool. I also know mandarin and your pronunciation of rén was too much rrrr and to less jjjj but that's much less grave than the wrong pressure you apply to the mook jong. if you do the same to real wing chung practicioner it will basically be a suicide. not to mention your stance. also what's about its leg? it's for a reason there... p.s. who was your sifu? I suggest you make a collaboration with a good wing chun sifu. p.p.s. what's with the title "the new ip man"? just to catch more views? p.p.p.s. I know I waste my time with this comment...

when will you be doing more with the wodden dummy?
Kung Fu & Tai Chi Center w/ Jake Mace maiy sikhna chahte hai
When did you start learning Wing Chun? Who taught you this?
master youtube taught him. ;)
Surely to God you aren't saying that you are the next Ip Man after this sad display of technique.
Bruce Lee and other martial artists are probably watching this and laughing their asses off dead or alive
How come? Laugh why? I don’t get it
What do you call the Wooden Dummy?
I'm talking about Mook Yan Jong your video. Will you be doing more sets
Salutations! We also call the dummy Mook Jong or Ching Jong . I have heard other configurations of the wooden dummy referred to as Sui Sao.
Wranzell Phillips Yes, Wranzell! We have more videos coming up!
master arthur Mosqueda Awesome! Thanks!
ShaolinCenter Thanks I'll be waiting
I just can't believe this..

Okay I know this comment is 4 years old but he was so obviously making a joke I don't know how you missed it

Take care!
Jake Mace playing patty cake with that wooden dummy instead of martial arts haha. He needs to get a proper Wing Chun instructor.
Just finished some wooden man training! Feeling good! What style of Chinese Kung Fu is your favorite? Tell me below!
Why ...so that you could copy that style and pose as a master once again? I think I'll pass.
***** You're so jealous of his abs, don't lie...
Everythangkid I wouldn't be that petty.
***** Wing Chun was created by Shao Lin monk Ng Mui based on the fighting moves of the crane and the snake but I am not sure if it is part Shao Lin.
Well done on the subscribers jake... Skyrocketed.....
Thanks! It's all because of you guys training, watching, sharing, and practicing!
How arrogant. He just copied this from youtube and now his ranting like he's an expert wing chun instructor. The new Ip Man ...far from it.
I'm not the New Ip Man... But you could be! :)
Give my best to your master, shifu UA-cam.
Keyboard warriors are heavy in the comment section 😂. You know you got skill when everyone only wants to talk about how IP man is better LMFAO.
Check out our new Wooden Dummy video! How many benefits can you list for training with the wooden man????? List below!
I have been thinking about buying (or making) some arms and using a PVC core to put them in (budget issues here). What is your opinion on buying/making Mook Yan Jong?
Bone strength, coordination, rhythm. How about timing, distance, concentration/focus, even footwork (not displayed here).
***** biggest issue with buying one is shipping and handling. I recommend finding something with a lifetime warranty.
Andrew Hageman its not too difficult to make one.. make an anual dig up and sink a new dummy party :) but I agree its rediculous how expensive something is that traditionally was made by people completely for free
Andrew Hageman
If you truly understand the Jong, how to use it, and paid blood sweat and tears for your Kung Fu, you would not grieve over the cost of a good jong....and if you did not there is no point in getting a Jong...hit a bag.
Great video man!!! thanks for all the great videos!!! :)
My sifu told me you don't use the dummy like that. .-.
Lots of Sifu keep you stuck other wise they don’t get paid no more 😂
Subscribed to your channel yesterday. Great stuff. Thanks for sharing with everyone.
this guy really dose not know something of wingchun...
Kung fu dog is very nice
It must never rain or snow there. How do you protect your equipment outside from the weather?
Jake Mace. I watch your videos and I can't help but wonder: Have you ever been in a fight? This is a real question.
Thank you
You know Benny Meng?
"SUBSCRIBE"! How many Martial Art Styles can you name below? Ready...Go!
Why, looking for new styles to mimic?
hi jake i'm very glad to see your vids but i have some things to say and i wanna be honest with you about the things you say and about your trining thank you really much if you read all this, is true that your training works it can be seen in your good shape but that training is for fitness not for sport fighting or street fights, it always seems great when you do lots of movements in slow motion and all that works when you're practicing with your partners but in real life situations it won't work as well as the practice because the simple thing that you may never been in a extreme dangerous situation or you are not prepared for it, you're a dancer trying pretending to be a warrior, the day you're ready to take the life of someone, then only then you can call you a warrior or a fighter, when you feel the pain in your fits and the blood on your hands and the anger growing inside you, then you'll know what is to fight
sorry if it sounds rude is just my opinion and is because i wanna help you and you have to know that your path is just beginning, you'll have to face a lot of situations where is not tai chi, not high and perfect kicks, not precision, not fast reacts only the fear trying to get you, i think the tittle of this vid is just joking because you can't seriously call you the new ip man just because you hit the wooden dummy or because you have fast movements, ip man is a legend, you're a youtuber that trains for the camera. ip man was the master of the legendary bruce lee a real genious and i don't see your student kicking asses nowhere (it's an expression), i think you're too young to teach but not to older to keep learning, i think you're profile name is wrong too because you have never trained with shaolins for years like them, it doesn't really matter just saying..
Nice post Jake, thanks for uploading.
Thank you for the comment and for watching!
you will never be the new Yip Man.
My 35 years in wing chun tells me I should challenge you, you need a wake up call, just saw this today. Challenge is on.
Please dont do Wing Chun I dont wanna hear anyone trying to disrespect my style because you do it
Get a life lose.r..that is not your style
Awesome jake. Cant wait to learn from you in person
Thanks Michael!
Jake learned wing chun from Ip Man movies and youtube. Please find a proper teacher.
***** na I rather learn from jake. Mind your business fool
Suit yourself.
You don't do bone on bone contact in WC. It would be very bad for a smaller person to do that against a larger person. You should make contact with the arms on the Jong using either the Yin or Yang side of the arm.
There is always a time and place for bone to bone strikes!
ShaolinCenter Are you serious? Have you ever actually sparred someone or fought an opponent if I used bone blocks against someone using the blocks you were using against the dummy. I would probably injure myself. Stop trying to say you know so many martial arts. A jack of all trades is a master of none.
chineseeyes2006 That I believe is what he wooden dummy is for an helps with
chineseeyes2006 I agree, one hundred percent.
I agree!
Wow your Chinese pronunciation is so good :D I mostly just hear people say it like it's an American word
i fear not the man who practices kicks 1000 times i fear the man who has practiced 1 kick 1000 times....
Been 6 years but I just have to tell you that that isn’t how the saying goes.
Who is better.....Bruce Lee or Donnie Yen???
in my opinion ... I think Donnie Yen is better
Your Wing Chun is terrible. Either stick to the arts you know, or learn some wing chun before posting videos about it
bruce had a more advanced preparation and training so he has an advantage over donnie, but both of them had a great potential to alway keep improving their skills, i think they're in the same level
Masutatsu Oyama is the best of the best
Wojciech Dziuba no but he is damn good. Infact one of only four in the world worth going to for that style.
Keep posting videos ! Your my inspiration ! In my opinion your the best martial artist
Facepalm...
There are many lineages, and of course, different types of wing Chun. Problem with this cat is that he has no structure, and his forms are nothing more than memorized movements. Just saying that he shouldn't be teaching people this stuff. It might get them hurt.
I watched again this video, and noticed - You direct the efforts in sides 2:25, 3:24, 4:18 and it is necessary in the body Mok Yan Jong.
This guy has to be a fraud. Look at his form, he is way too stiff.
And he is not even flexible
Because he is.
I really enjoy your videos. I'm finally becoming motivated!
this bugs me, please learn something before you try to teach it
He is a master... I think he knows what he is doing.... you don't get 9 hundred thousand subscriber just like that buddy
some silly subscriber count doesn't prove that he knows something
He’s a master con artist
Na man this comment is true because he lacks the ability to adapt to a rehearsed routine and he missed some of the most important moves like Wu Sao and more
@@rashmisharma755 wel those 900 thousand gotfopled into following that's for sure
i bought a dummy ,like in your video,so would like to say tthank you for your great videos, learned alot
greetings from russia
Thank you for the training drills.
Thanks for watching!
Their fake
@@IOUharmony agreed. yea I thought he was a real traditional teacher but I trained under Wong Sheung Leung and wanted some new drills for my dummy but I take this man's words with a grain of salt. I see not a practical or proper form on a lot of the videos now. Did not do enough research before complimenting him lol 😂
@@ralkyrie8799 good. I do Kung fu too and I can see that this man’s form is off
Ok few things, I love your instruction to the wooden dummy. Is there the second, third, fourth, fifth, etc etc part coming soon? I looked through all your videos I didn't see it. I love how the camera was set in a way so I can see what you were doing an how to do it correctly. Lastly can you give more applications meaning Wusao, Mansao ?
Dai Gor I've seen him on here, he doesn't live in Maryland. I've studied wing chun in the past
the upper hand should be an incline palm strike, Ceh Jeung (斜掌) that is meant to send forward energy to the opponent while intercepting the opponent's arm.
Thanks Master Arthur!
Guys this is not wing chun seriusly... what the hell is this.... you are teaching wrong wing chun , you shoudnt be allowed to teach.....
Vlasis Productions this is actually wing chun, it’s just that his body movements and the order is out of place
I don’t know anything about wing Chung so I couldn’t tell if he is doing it wrong can somone explain plz
@@freezxy1954 there is no meaning behind these movements and it's dangerous to copy because u don't know what's going on in order to get there...
Vlasis Productions what u mean to get there
@@freezxy1954 I mean I'm fighting to get to the point in order to use some of these movements
Great video for beginners! Thank you for sharing. Are you Arizona based?
You are using your hands incorrectly with your kwan sao, as you turn your hips and core into the lower bong sao, you are are bringing the upper hand, the tan sao in the opposite direction and thereby negating the force. you can easily correct this by using your tan sao on the inside of the dummy arm instead of the outside, that way you are using the strength from the core to power both arms
excellent.I have a wooden dummy as a Karateka.I will try your exercise plan.Thankyou.
He is not a master. He promoted himself and have himself that title
i found your channel today, clicked on this video, thougnt it was cool. next thing i know i am building my own Wing Chun. awesome man!
Wonderful. Provides a simple and immediately engaging place to start with a Mu Ren Zhuang. I appreciate and salute your effort to create this video to help others on their journeys.
When does the Wing Chun start...? 😕
:)
A teachable man a rarity these days.
You are totally right, if this demo was about fighting. But the dude is saying clearly its a bone conditioning and strengthening training, and the way he moves his body as it seemed is just for the sake of movement. At the end of the day you are also right this dude got a low understanding of the art.
your all videos are very nice boo master good mu ten jong god bless you master Boo
Your Wing Chun looks terrible.
Funny, im doing Kwan Sau in class now, and you dont sweep out, but roll wrist from taun into low bon sau, and drop elbow from low bon sau into taun, use ging to get the short male energy on the lower, softer female on the upper.
I'm confused, are you trying to compare yourself to Yip man *ip man* and say you are better or....
Bro how to make this wood's target in home?
What should I do?
This has to be a joke, right? This isn't a serious instruction video, unless it's about showing the WRONG thing to do. WOW.
Yeesh. My sifu is disgusted by this, for good reason. Structure is non-existent, form is too rigid and he's throwing too much of his Tae-Kwon Do in the mix. Craziness...
No Joke! :)
Dai Gor We've seen and currently practice the ''real deal''! :)
ShaolinCenter What are your lineages (plural since you teach many different disciplines, some of which take years to reach competency). A simple question to dispel the critics and doubters, and one that any martial artist is willing to share.
My first time to watch you as a beginner I love to start with your vedio. I have to build my own dummy.
I call it a Mu Ren Zhuang!
SUBSCRIBED. I am happy someone would take the time to broadcast such techniques, and give an online audience a chance to see how we can benefit with the "wooden dummy man". I hope to improvise a similar dummy in my house off of a pre-existing post. Perhaps wrap some insulation foam tape around all the appendages.
Wow. Some of you mentioned you did all 3000 strikes with me! Great job!
Dai Gor some people are just happy/at peace with themselves - let go of whatever grievances you carry and more positivity will be able to enter your life and maybe you'll become one of them
Dai Gor so big deal just a school. who cars if they're bad. t least they teach you how punch and kick. lol
I really want to learn Wing Chun and each video I watch makes the urge stronger.. aaaand you have a new subscriber
I'm no expert, but from what I've seen... real experts don't look like this or teach this
wing chun WOODEN DUMMY . really nice. thank you.
You know you are sketchy when you change your last name to avoid things
I never changed my name to avoid anything! Mace is my Grandparents name! :)
Hi Martial artist Jake Mace.
Could you send us more videos about wooden dummy techniques please!
Could Chuck Norris really beat Bruce Lee in a Fight???
Both in their prime? Lee would win because it would be a competition of speed and Bruce was faster.
no
What kind of fight? a fight for money? a fight for pride? a fight for respect? a fight between friends? a fight between martial artists? a fight for life? a desperate fight to the death? Different circumstances, different fights.
You need a kind of innate ruthlessness to win in a serious fight with something more than pride on the line. Even if you know the techniques, would you have the resolve to execute them without hesitation in the heat of the moment?
No. Not at all. Bruce Lee would kill Chuck Norris.
Bruce would demolish Chuck.
Sifu Jake I wanna say thank u I learned how practice on my wing chun dummy by watching u thank u
The hand movement is wrong
So cool, we just got 2 wooden dummys in at the school I train At, I'll be there til early hours trying to perfect it!
He did it wrong like of course everybody can eat using spoon and fork but not everybody knows the right way. He hit the wooden in the wrong way. It's not just a wood, it's a medium to project the attacks we would receive from the opponents. If he keeps doing it that way im not sure if he would be able to resist any attacks from the opponents in wing chun way
@ Naqiu he may have made mistakes, his demonstration of the wooden dummy is the best Ive seen on you tube
of course no one is perfect, right?
You dont. Really nice to see another one who practices Wing Chun. I also thought he does it wrong.
with you bro...
can you explain the mandarin part?
although you probably know- wing chun and mandarin arent connected
Dude your set up is so awesome!
the new ip man? sir this is not wing chun. you just make your own movements
So very nice i like so much you master it is very helpful I'm dream to be a karati and i lern but I'm sad I'm not easy to copy I'm slow to lern but this is very helpful thanks so much for this vedeo please upload more vedeo for bigginer..and make slow like this in vedeo😘
this guy is embarrassing. if my sifu will see this video he will laugh for a month :-)
You are doing a great job bro keep doing this... you are an legend for me
This guy is awful. Nowhere near as good as Ip Man would have been.
Please, show the technique of direct punch Yat Jee Chung Kuen on the dummy. Thanks.
im most certain, that this iwas not Wing Tsun, the wingtsin always leave something on the midle line.
Interesting. Do you teach wing chun and where did you learn your wing chun?
what a joke.
What doesn't your backyard have Jake? Lol
Nice to see you using the dummy and showing people another way to condition themselves ..
Nice upload Thanks
Haha! It needs a 18'x18' wrestling mat so we can practice more throws and ground fighting!
His backyard is missing the main ingredient. KUNG FU!!!
Awful
Fascinating. Very helpful.
your technique is weak
my english is very bad so i'm writing this with google.
i often see your videos.
i have been practicing Tai Chi Chuan 37 yang style for 12 years
And I don't ask if I can use this wooden dummy aich fud tai chi exercises pushing hands.
would be great if you could bring some examples.
right now in Corona time
it is important to be able to practice partner exercises alone.
Thank you
