Yes! You definitely can! 🙌🏼 I still user overlay pack items for things that integrate with Twitch API like alerts but other than that, the world is your overlay oyster!
OMG it is soooo cool!! I love it!! Problem: not having animal crossing Solution: you gave also the idea of using Sims or other videogames Thanks soooo much! ❤️
Nothing wrong with a still scene at all! I used to use a still variant of this with just my AC character asleep at the computer which is what gave me the idea. Thanks for checking out the video! Happy streaming! 😊🙌🏼
As stated in the video, this tutorial only works for OBS Studio. However I am working on a follow up video on how to create something similar for Streamlabs OBS! 🙌🏼
Not to my knowledge! The main reason being the use of the StreamFX Plugin which only works with standard OBS Studio. I do have a second video which shows how to make something similar using Streamlabs, but you'll need whatever screen'/game you use to be viewed head on, as you won't be able to 3D manipulate the source. Hope that helps somewhat! 😊
@@RoboDessert Thanks for letting me know. I was trying to work on something for my intermission scene and when this popped up I thought it was a great idea 💡 all the way up to the point when you said it didn't work for OBS stream labs. I will definitely try to check out the other video. Who knows it might help. Thanks.
To my knowledge it is not possible, no. You need some sort of software like OBS that holds all those scenes and can transition between them. Streaming directly from console bypasses that.
Mine was made in Animal Crossing! But you could use any game really. There are also sites like Picrew where you can make avatars of yourself but a lot of these do not allow for commercial use.
@@RoboDessert like you edges are so smooth when you zoom in the animal crossing footage and mine ends up looking pixel plated idk if it's from the switch I have the setting on it to 1080 and full and recorded it on obs but the recording does not look as clean when I zoom it in
I have experienced similar issues myself and I find it usually has something to do with my capture card (Though it can be hard to pinpoint for sure). Are you using an Elgato capture card?
That's the same one I'm using! I've had issues in the past with settings having to change in multiple places. I've changed the Elgato settings in OBS and had to change it in the Elgato software as well. I'd check both of those first to make sure they're all set to 1080p.
You’ll need a capture card (I use the Elgato HD60s) to get gameplay footage from the Switch into OBS. If you don’t have one of those you can record video directly on the Switch by holding down the Capture button on the left Joycon controller. This will record the last 30s of gameplay as video.
I used this to create a starting soon, brb, and ending screen, you're a savior! Looks so dope.
Oh dude that’s amazing! Glad it could help! Feel free to drop your stream link! I’d love to see what you created!

I know you did this a year ago and you said it would not work in OBS streamlabs. Was there ever a work around for this?
Not to my knowledge! The main reason being the use of the StreamFX Plugin which only works with standard OBS Studio. Is it possible to add starting soon screens brb screens and ending screens on PS4 or does it just work for PC ?
To my knowledge it is not possible, no. You need some sort of software like OBS that holds all those scenes and can transition between them. Streaming directly from console bypasses that.
but how are you recording this if it's only available on switch?
Just hooked the Switch up to a capture card to record in OBS! 😄
@@RoboDessert Capture card is built into my pc :D you can hook switch up to the pc?
Yupp! I use the Elgato HD60 S, which is an external card. But it allows you to see the gameplay footage on your PC and record it!
You are a genious
Thanks for checking out the guide! 😄
How do I go about making a custom avatar of me, specifically a little 3d cartoon version of me like the one you have for your background?
Mine was made in Animal Crossing! But you could use any game really. There are also sites like Picrew where you can make avatars of yourself but a lot of these do not allow for commercial use.
thats dope

thank you for the tip

how did you make the output look so smooth?
Hey! Thanks for checking out the video! Which output are you referring to? The output from the Switch game or the output in OBS?
@@RoboDessert like you edges are so smooth when you zoom in the animal crossing footage and mine ends up looking pixel plated idk if it's from the switch I have the setting on it to 1080 and full and recorded it on obs but the recording does not look as clean when I zoom it in

A quick tutorial for the text? Plis
Text was just made in photoshop and added into the video export! Just apply whatever transformations you need to make it fit where you want. 🙌🏼
I can’t get the source mirroring option can anyone help!?
Unfortunately this video is a bit out of date now. I recommend a different plugin called Source Clone! The StreamFX Plugin is no longer free.
@@RoboDesserthow do I use 3-d filter with source clone? Please help
i neeeeeed the goose one

Thank you!! One of my favorite background pieces!
How can I create my own scene 🤔?
This video shows you how do to exactly that!
game name ?
I'm not really playing a game here but the two games shown in this video are The Sims 4 and Animal Crossing!
