@@hazepeakyou can make a set out of found objects &it can sound very similar to a real set or better because of unique sounds that you can add from not being restricted by the traditional concept of a drum set. neighbors would be a bigger issue&reason for drum machines imo, &inability to play what is needed/desired or laziness. technology is a tool of comfort &convenience, the sterile disconnected coldness of the technology does add&encourage it's own element.
