Rented in San Juan for since 2010, bought at playa Marsella Never had a problem. I share a taxi when going to Rivas. Get around with a atv.. don’t need or want a car.. Can haul almost anything with my trailer.

To be honest since your a traveler you know in every country the locals are gonna try n scam you in every way possible even in America they’ll try and do it . Just cause you felt like u was being scammed doesn’t mean people can’t go and travel there just say the place you visited wasnt what u expected cause I doubt that’s the only place you have visited that only tried n scam you so maybe next time change the title . Their is good n bad for every country can’t judge a place cause of a couple jerks or scammers
Yes you are right. I didn’t say that it is only in Nicaragua but Rivas was really full of scammers and I just say that you should avoid it as a tourist. I never said that you avoid going to Nicaragua. It’s a beautiful countries. I just want to spread awareness so that tourists make a good experience in the country and have a good time :)
Lamento que acá se encuentren personas que hacen eso, al extranjero le venden hasta 5 veces más caro que al nacional. Ahora ya sabe que no debe comprar sin antes saber el precio. Si, hay personas tramposas acá pero la mayoría somos honestos.. Un nacho lo mas que cuesta es de 2 a 5 dólares.
Claro que lo sé... Son sólo unos pocos deshonestos que intentan engañar a los extranjeros. Desgraciadamente, lo noté de forma especialmente negativa en Rivas. Pero en el resto de Nicaragua todo fue siempre estupendo. Echo de menos Nicaragua ❤️
The local bus sucks. Taxi prices are high at the market regardless. You have go outside to get a better price. Ive paid $20 from peñas blancas to san juan del sur ... just ask multiple people, like you should
Nicaraguan are honest people but unfortunately you met the one in a million. Always check multiple options just in case There are scammers around the world. Travel to Turkey or Korea. However, what I disagree if with tourist paying triple prices in other countries but trying to pay one dollar in my country.

Nicaragua is one of those countries I never see myself going because of the very reason you talked about. While visiting CostaRica, I met a French lady living there, she told me what to expect and you just confirmed what she told me. Where did you end up staying?
Noo, it was only this town which was scatchy! Don’t get me wrong, Nicaragua ist definitely an amazing country and 100% worth visiting! Of course you need to be a little bit cautious and take care of yourself but except in this town I had no bad experience at all! In the coming days I will post more Videos about Nicaragua and I can hopefully convince you to visit the country in the future 😊 I stayed in different places: San Juan Del Sur, Popoyo, Granada, Leon and Ometepe :)

Costa rica is just like this if not even worse with more aggressive scammers And more expensive prices for everything
