Nostalgia | Southern Kaimanawa Sika Hunting

Reflecting on an area of the Kaimanawa Forest park that I began hunting in my early years.
My good mate Scotty and I spent 3 days here during winter. Hunter pressure was high and deer encounters were few at best.
It's kind of tricky making a hunting video without any actual wild game on film but I was keen to see if I could create something with the footage I did manage to capture.

I watched it until the end, so it worked even knowing there were no animals down. Really good music editing and obviously the drone is amazing

Sweet, glad you liked it! Yeh the drone certainly adds some depth. Was my first time out in some proper backcountry with it, pretty happy with the results.

Thanks bro! It's a nice area alright. It's also where I shot my first deer. Gets a lot of pressure however and the deer are both smart and few between.
