The pumpkin cutting was funny, the boards that came out of the logs looked really good. Elijah and myself thank y'all for the birthday mention. He's a really good young man.
We saw that little chunk of wood that stopped up the conveyor. We wanted to point and say, "Could this be it?" White pine Grandpa loved that. He thought you did a masterful job. Watch out for the mallet. That thing could really smash some fingers!
Well, the hammer, is one way for ZZ to get "hammered". That pumpkin took his fate well. You sure do have good friends. Those guys drove from far away, brought gifts and gave a helping hand. It looks like the logs behaved themselves and gave you a good yield. It is good to see you and your friends. Good job on the video.
Nice wide boards somebody is going to like those beauty clean white pine Nice sawing today mark. My belt directly at the saw gets chunks in it just like that
Six o’clock in the morning nice pine boards coming off the mill and sliced pumpkin, I’m up early dogs insist on breakfast at six and I’m having English breakfast dogs fancy my breakfast as well , I’m having the week off this knee is healing slow anyway you guys have a nice day
I enjoyed the pumpkin! We grew 3 acres of them this year. We started with 1800 and are down to the last 400 we are doing donations on from now until they are gone. 300 of them are Dickinsons, Dutch Fork and Kentucky Fields that you make pies out of.
I used to be a log buyer for a mill north of you in Ontario Canada, west of Toronto. It is really interesting to see how you get the best boards out of a log!!!!
That log is naked! Did God peel the bark to show you and the crew how to keep bark out of the barn? I have been praying for you to get the message. Mark you are good at getting the most good wood from each “present from the woods “. I had a wood Mizer for 25yr. I miss it and would love to talk about it
With our Head Sawyer we knew we was gonna have a rough day when he started listening to Bluegrass music. That saw would be flying and the forklifts would have a hard time catching up. He was just having fun.
Quick question, I’m a fire inspector for my career, so are most cutting decisions made because of your experience and the laser advertised on your back wall a small adjunct to to the overall production.
Hey Mark, I have been following your channel for nearly two (2) years now ! I have really enjoyed following along, but have one big question. I mean no harm and ask with all due respect :- "When do you, if you do, clean up under over and on your sawmill ? I've noticed a fairly large build-up of debris, off cuts of logs etc, around your equipment and wondered when you have a big cleanup day/s and getting things ship-shape ? I certainly realize this is not a medical facility, but I'm sure you clean up at some point ? As I said earlier, this is not meant as criticism, but merely a query. I certainly will continue watching your channel, regardless !! God Bless y'all !!
I do love (especially the 2nd log) the purty pink and blue pine. But does the pink fade over time? Sure would make some unique paneling in a house, shop, etc.. Poor, poor, pitiful pumpkin 🎃 😢!
You guys should make a short trip out west to Groveport, OH and check out Peerless Saw Co. If I'm not mistaken, that's where the saw-bodies are manufactured before being shipped to Payne for tipping and finishing... Love the channel, it's great seeing those simple, yet oh-so-complex disks spinning in action 💯🪚 Thank you!! 🥰
😊😊 HI MARK all of the old people many years ago use 2 fix homemade pumpkin 🎃 😊 pies 4 the holidays 😋 😅 they are great 👍 😊 alot better than what U can get out of the stores those people knew how 2 cook 🍳 and season food the watermelon 🍉 😊 is great 👍 😊 also the colder it is the better it taste U have 2 get the good 1S the seed less aren't much 😮😮 OMG 1O 28 2O24
Hi Mark & Eddie & friends enjoyed watching ur videos which I could come and visit u guys but I am a veteran & is not able to do much walking I get very short of breath when I move around much I have a birthday coming up on November 1st I will be 68 years young wishing u guys a happy Halloween ❤ ur subscriber Peter A from South Carolina May The Good Lord Bless u guys & ur families peace ☮️ with ur family always 🙏🏻✌️☮️🙌👍😇
I mentioned this a while back and say that I think it would be nice for you to use the turtle cuts and you, and Eddie sign the back of them and sell them for fans that watch you. Just a thought. Have fun.
Up here in Maine, we do Pumpkins vs Potatoes. The pumpkins try to hold their ground, the potatoes are launched at them with a canon. The pumpkins mostly lose, because the canon has a laser sight.
i do like when you do the bigger logs! I wonder if your yellow dial device is being brushed by the overheadf stuff? As they say in the UK "carry on up teh Kiber. chhers guys.
that belt was stuck for quite few minutes. Hopefully it’s still in good shape. You should paint a few white/yellow whiteness stripes on it would make it visually easier to see if it stalls.
no damage to the belt , this was the first time something stopped it. the belt has lacing on it that you can see go around but I was looking at the log and Eddies fingers.
@ 11:30 with Chewy having the advantage of hydraulic pressure against the log, seems like the aggressive teeth could be replaced with something ( Like A Wide Ribbed Rubber Fan Belt ) to cause " less " tear out on the cant. I really don't care that much until I see a " Fine Specimen of Hard Wood " being damaged fight on the board face !
I am not an engineer, I do some remodel drawings for a friend up in Pennsylvania every now and then. I send him drawing in PDF format and he has them printed out at his printshop of choice. I am not sure what you are looking for.
Nice cutting! . Great video . Why dont you just cut the last one by , when you're at 3" .and leave a 1 1/2" x 8" . early carpenters sheathed a frame with one by . after plywood was introduced it morphed into "sheeting" how it was sold . To sheath is to cover. Thanks Mark.
what do they do with a 20 inch wide boards and how do you keep it from cupping and warping besides just good stickering practices ( and spell checker doesn't like stickering and cattywampus LOL )
It has to be sawed properly like he does by turning the log taking a board then turning and taking again so the growth rings are laying the correct way in each board having weight on your bundles and staying out of the sun with help with cupping and staying flat
I'm just curious how much stuff you have to pick out of the sawdust now. I know about Eddie and donuts lol. Seems like ZZ has a couple of more weeks before his parole. Bill
If you use that mallet as indicated, it would be a Mallet on Mallet-Head crime. DE-FACING a pumpkin and FORCE note FEEDING it your propoganda, just SHAMEFUL
Mark, I still don’t understand why you don’t mark the pith on both ends of the log so you don’t have to run it all the way back each time “to see where you are”?
Why can't I see the laser on the forward end of the log before the first and all the cuts- but I can see the laser on the middle of the log when you turn it?
Y'all just keep cuttin' up and havin' so much fun. It is good to see you all back together once again and doing what you like to do.
thanks Robert.
Y'all are professional at cutting ugly logs into good usable lumber. Nice white pine boards.
The Pumpkin slice was fun. Even had a message inside.
thanks Richaed.
Music was the exact right touch for the pumpkin. Good video as always.
thanks Tommy , glad you liked it.
Thank you for another Great video. Cheers

We saw that little chunk of wood that stopped up the conveyor. We wanted to point and say, "Could this be it?" White pine Grandpa loved that. He thought you did a masterful job. Watch out for the mallet. That thing could really smash some fingers!
yes a little knot got stuck but no damage to the belt.
Well, the hammer, is one way for ZZ to get "hammered". That pumpkin took his fate well. You sure do have good friends. Those guys drove from far away, brought gifts and gave a helping hand. Hey Mark,
I have been following your channel for nearly two (2) years now ! I have really enjoyed following along, but have one big question. I mean no harm and ask with all due respect :-

thanks John , we will get it cleaned out before winter now that we have a fire going easy way to get rid of the bark and sawdust.
Nice 2nd log, thats one way to get a face lift Thanks guys Happy Halloween 🇨🇦
ty 4 sawing guys
your welcome.
I do love (especially the 2nd log) the purty pink and blue pine. But does the pink fade over time? Sure would make some unique paneling in a house, shop, etc.. Poor, poor, pitiful pumpkin 🎃 😢!
Ooooo, get those pumpkin seeds out, & roast them! 😉👍♥️
yes with some salt.
@@markgalicic7788 Yes, regular & garlic salt 👍♥️

thank you , that sounds like a great tour for next summer.
I know you're busy but Chewy looks like he could use a handy wipe !!
yes we need to clean everything someday.
Using your mind for calculating was way before the computer 😂 that a new way to carve a pumpkin
very true , sawmill carving lol.
The Maine thing though, BOOM! 👻
you got it Mark.
That pumpkin is strictly farm grade
good one lol.
Wide pine boards!
yes sir JB I should have made a few 2"ers for bar tops.
Hi Mark & Eddie that’s was a way to carve a pumpkin happy Halloween 🎃👻✌️❤
very easy lol.
I can’t believe the dexterity to rotate the logs and not damage the log.

watermelon next summer lol.
You could make some nice roasted pumpkin out of those pumpkin slices.
I think the deer got them.
i do like when you do the bigger logs! I wonder if your yellow dial device is being brushed by the overheadf stuff? As they say in the UK "carry on up teh Kiber. chhers guys.
thank you , no the dial is not getting hit but it is very close.
that belt was stuck for quite few minutes. Hopefully it’s still in good shape. You should paint a few white/yellow whiteness stripes on it would make it visually easier to see if it stalls.
I had to back up the video and rewatch it to notice the belt was stuck
no damage to the belt , this was the first time something stopped it. the belt has lacing on it that you can see go around but I was looking at the log and Eddies fingers.
Hope you found some hogs to feed the pumpkin to that was a little sad lol
I think the deer will eat it.
impressive how the saw blade cut the pumpkin and it did not move
yes it sure does cut easy.
How could you not like the pumpkin 😅
we did lol.
Dry them seeds they are great tasting.
for sure.
I lived in Latrobe, PA, from age 7 until age 13...
not to far from us.
Hopefully pumpki is easy to clean off carriage and saw.
yes it is.
Mark , I would like to ask what is better to cut a fresh cut that’s been down a few days or one that has been cut for a few weeks
Curious as to how much P.S.I. on the dogs? Love your show by the way
@ 11:30 with Chewy having the advantage of hydraulic pressure against the log, seems like the aggressive teeth could be replaced with something ( Like A Wide Ribbed Rubber Fan Belt ) to cause " less " tear out on the cant. Pumpkin pine pie
I like it lol!
Sad part is mr.sawblade is going to mr.pumkin into spoo (alittle b-5 reference for sci-fi fanatics) 😂
I like it lol.
PURRFECTION GUYS
Why isn't the conveyor belt not turning?
just a chunk of wood it's all good now.
keep the seeds
what do they do with a 20 inch wide boards and how do you keep it from cupping and warping besides just good stickering practices ( and spell checker doesn't like stickering and cattywampus LOL )
It has to be sawed properly like he does by turning the log taking a board then turning and taking again so the growth rings are laying the correct way in each board having weight on your bundles and staying out of the sun with help with cupping and staying flat
How about slicing apple for apple pie!!
I'm just curious how much stuff you have to pick out of the sawdust now. I know about Eddie and donuts lol. Seems like ZZ has a couple of more weeks before his parole.
Bill
If you use that mallet as indicated, it would be a Mallet on Mallet-Head crime. DE-FACING a pumpkin and FORCE note FEEDING it your propoganda, just SHAMEFUL
just some seeds now lol!
Mark, I still don’t understand why you don’t mark the pith on both ends of the log so you don’t have to run it all the way back each time “to see where you are”?
the blue dot is for the people watching the video not for me lol.
@ 15:10 could Chewy's teeth be replaced with some sort of hard rubber wedges ?
it wouldn't last for one log , the steel points on the turner wear out and some of the logs we saw weigh up to 4 thousand pounds.
Either four of you are really small or one dude is a monster...
yes Dave is a tall guy lol.
Brevduvepumpa ;)
good one LOL!
Why can't I see the laser on the forward end of the log before the first and all the cuts- but I can see the laser on the middle of the log when you turn it?
yes most people can't see it.
Please put some of the small turtles for sale.
we should great idea.
