I was thinking ton the same lines. ... it's the 4th anniversary since "The Event" and when we lost Алексе́й (Alexei). "I still visit his final resting place in honour of our fallen comrade."
The bit where you discovered that the resin had flooded the entire surface, and then just launched right back into how to create terrain without skipping a beat was absolutely hilarious. Love the finished look!
I've been watching your channel for a long time. This is the best diorama you ever made. Having hundreds of hours in the stalker series and its source material this diorama has a special place in my heart.
With the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 I thought I'd rewatch the whole thing, and it captures the postapocalyptic vibe so well. Really nicely done. The night-light luminescence of the radioactive waste in the water is such a cool and crazy little detail to add!
I have no words. Why did I watch this video in one go? David, your masterpieces makes me happy every time and inspires me to try what you do. Not only in modeling, but also in video editing, selection of music and effects. My sincere congratulations on completing this long project. I can imagine how a mountain has fallen from your shoulders and release you for new project or bicycle trips. All the best Nik from Riga, LV
STALKER - Shadow of Chernobyl is one of my favorite video games. You've captured the grim grittiness of that series brilliantly in this diorama! Magnificent! "Cheeki Breeki!"
Your attention to detail is phenomenal. The oil, the grass. I've been out in the field with US Army helicopters and this brings back memories. Thankfully non involved a class A mishap, but still. Speaking of which, would you ever do another diorama of helicopters in the field? I can send some personal photos if it would help.
Fantastic work, wow! This was originally a rescuemission extracting civillians from a contaminated area years ago after a radioactive chemical spill. On the last run, the chopper crashed killing all but the pilot who was able to get away. He raised a family elsewhere in the end. The events and memories of his fallen crewmates never left him though. The stalker took his father, who was the pilot, back to crashsite to be buried there with his crewmates. It was his dying wish…
I like how even that failure of the resin spreading everywhere didn't put Plasmo off, excellent work. I know if it were me, I would either have despaired, become depressed over it or just got angry and shelved the whole thing, never to see light again!
Vieš čo David? Vždy keď vidim tvoju perfektnú robotu a talent tak sa radšej ničoho nechytám... úroveň ktorú stále posúvaš vyššie a vyššie, si proste "kaper" robíš to super. Klobúk dolu 😎
When I was backpacking Europe a few years ago, I met one of the 3d artists for Stalker in a hostel. Super super friendly and outgoing guy - he showed me his portfolio on his laptop, amazingly talented team - limited only by tech, not imagination :D
Thanks for sharing this PLASMO - you are the King of dioramas. I have a special interest in postapocalyptic sceneries, so this was a treat and I wil watch it many times for pleasure and learning. Thanks from Denmark !!
This is an exceptional diorama - your tower practically steals the show. Since a collision with the electrical lines on the tower is implied, evidence of a subsequent fire in the crash would be a nice touch.
Incredible diorama! One of your best to date. I forgot about you making the damaged helicopter until I saw this project. What an amazing work of art. Thanks for bringing us along.
Amazing work as always... stunning details and I know how much effort is put in each of those models. You have been an inspiration for me for a long long time and I'm happy to see you're still out there doing amazing dioramas and models and giving us ideas on how to tackle some difficult tasks in our creative processes .
I can picture it all going wrong now in my head. The entire disaster was intense with effort & waste as there is a city, a junk lot & dumping spots for everything used at that time. Good job all around.
Even when you show us step by step how you do your models, I still dont understand how is that possible. That is another increibly realistic model. You have my credits.
Beautiful and inspiring! Ah the good ol' capillary action when resin cures with foliage/static grass nearby - I also fell into that trap when making swamps once. You solved the issue quite well. I love the end result!
This is just an outstanding piece of work. I really love how you have brought your long held idea to life. It’s a feeling that all of us aspire to I’m sure! Can’t wait for the next video :-)
One of my favorite games; my favorite You-Tuber. I can almost see the Burnt Fuzz anomaly just off the hill. It took me a while to just figure out how to get up on that hill the first time I played! Well done.
Now I see what you mean from my comment on the helicopter video. Well done! I'm actually just recently getting in to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. myself, and seeing this makes me want to boot it up again!
Uwielbiam Twoje filmy, ale ten wyjątkowo trafia w mój gust ponieważ głównie interesuje mnie postapokaliptyka i w takiej konwencji sam tworzę modele. Doskonała robota, mam nadzieję, że jeszcze pojawią się dioramy w takich klimatach 👍
Just one idea: Abandoned helicopters near Tschernobyl/Pripyat would also be a frightening diorama to the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster in 2026. You did it perfectly the diorama! Awesome!🎉
Amazing work as usual! How's this for a background story? The man standing by the grave was the helicopter pilot who, when things started going south, commandeered the helicopter, picked up his wife from their home and tried to get away, but crashed in the swamps when small arms fire from the ground damaged his engine and propeller. He barely made it out alive but his wife perished in the crash. He buried her right then and there and has been living in the swamps ever since, hiding and hunting down the men who shot them down. He visits her every once in a while, to remind himself of what he's doing and why.
At first i skipped video because i tought it was another documentery about chernobil, but when i get back to see who published i saw your channel PLASMO. You had damn good mind ant great hands to make these builds..🎉 you are davinci of this things 😮
No moss were killed making this video! Beautiful job as always! love the great ground detailing. Only thing I would have done is to make some vines on the chopper as well. But amazing and very realistic!
Te ha quedado un diorama genial. No sé si las marcas te regalan la vegetación, pero te has gastado una pasta. ¡El resultado es fantástico! Enhorabuena. You have a great diorama. I don't know if the brands give you the vegetation, but you have spent a lot of money. The result is fantastic! Congratulations.
I fly this helicopter type, so i can say that usually flight engineer gets worst injures during emergency landings. To my mind this is flight engineer's grave. Thank you for good diorama! We should all remember people who gave their health and live to save the world after Chernobyl disaster. 1 Mi-8 has crashed right into exploded reactor hall.
This is so unlike any other diorama I’ve ever seen and I so wish I could create something like this (don’t really have the time of day right now). It’s also something I relate to a lot since my favorite thing to photograph is abandonment of man-made machines and objects.
Perfektne, perfektne, perfektne.
If you give everything a coat of clear matte acrylic before pouring the resin, it will do the best job of preventing that meniscus creep. Any acrylic paint will do, but if you have a lot of different materials, the clear matte is the easiest. Of course it won't help if the resin is over-filled, but other than that it works very well. BTW, another excellent video!
AWESOME!!!! I was thinking of doing a replica of one MI-24 crashside from Stalker COP, this gave me the go... its gonna take a while but im gonna keep you updated on her!
For me, the visitor is a random passerby. Someone who was walking through the forest and saw something strange in the woods, strange for even that part of the woods. They just go there to take in that sight, wonder about the circumstances that led to that scene. A bit like us when watching this video, they could be our proxy in the scene. I find it more melancholic that way. No special significance, but a sight to behold. (Incredible diorama, by the way!!!)
Came here to check your channel on a recommendation from a modelling discord server im on. Wow! What a fantastic display. Very dark, but what an incredible set piece
I must say this looks very realistic and you captured a slightly uneasy depressing mood in this piece just like the stalker games do. Bravo!
Por vezes um diorama não tem que estar muito realista, o que vale mais é a mensagem que ele tenta transmitir.
E isso é arte.
The stalker is the co pilot, visiting his friends grave. The helicopter pilot.💔 rip mate. 🙏
'reunited'
If things between Russia and Ukraine keep up the way that they are, this diorama may be prophetic...!!!
It’s escape from Tarkov
I was thinking ton the same lines.

This diorama is definitely a contest winner, a gold medal !!
The bit where you discovered that the resin had flooded the entire surface, and then just launched right back into how to create terrain without skipping a beat was absolutely hilarious. Love the finished look!
I'm 100th like to this comment
Rehehehheheheh
Ho ho ho))) Stalker inspired diorama. Perfect work my friend!
I've been watching your channel for a long time. This is the best diorama you ever made. Having hundreds of hours in the stalker series and its source material this diorama has a special place in my heart.
Dnes jsem na to koukal "na živo" na modelářské výstavě. Fantastická práce...
proc se o tom vzdy dozvidam az potom
This is the greatest crossover of the entire gaming modeling worlds! Absolutely amazing job man!
This is so cool! I love the story you wrote about it!
MORE STALKER. The people demand it. Well, I do lol.
I agree, there's way too little Stalker dioramas and I think its a really unexplored area that people could make tons of creative pieces
I do as well!
Indeed, more please...👍👍👍
I do too
i recently started replaying the stalker series this couldn't have dropped at a more perfect time. fantastic model and scene!
You and pilsner are the greatest contributions of the Czech nation to world’s culture and heritage ❤

Honestly, the resin overflowing made it look more like a sludgy, post apocalyptic swamp anyway. Gorgeous work as ever, showing how its done!
STALKER - Shadow of Chernobyl is one of my favorite video games. You've captured the grim grittiness of that series brilliantly in this diorama! Magnificent! "Cheeki Breeki!"

The telegraph pole makes it look a whole lot more apocalyptic than a building would have, absolutely stunning work
That's probably the coolest diorama I've seen. The foliage and weathering effects are amazing in every way.
Possibly your most impressive work so far! Looks amazing!
Fantastic work, wow!

Amazing work and diorama, David. I’m blown away by your attention to detail.
Every time I watch one of your videos I am blown away by the attention to detail and creativity. Wonderful job once again!
Would love to see more of a post apocalyptic theme. Love environmental storytelling.

With this diorama, you fulfilled my game dreams from 2008; I am grateful to you

After all the years of watching, i clearly can say...i don´t get used to your outstanding work.
This is an exceptional diorama - your tower practically steals the show. Since a collision with the electrical lines on the tower is implied, evidence of a subsequent fire in the crash would be a nice touch.
watching you make those plastic 50 gallon drums come to life is fantastic! The whole diorama is superb!
I would cast the figure in the role of a roaming survivor. Excellent diorama work, patience and hard work produce spectacular results, well done ! ! !
Nádhera , hodně precizní práce a důvtipu . Klobouk dolů .
A true artist at work! Tremendous job as usual David.
the glow in the dark stuff you added is unreal!
Incredible diorama! One of your best to date. I forgot about you making the damaged helicopter until I saw this project. What an amazing work of art. Thanks for bringing us along.
Maybe the best diorama i've ever seen!! Congratulations
When you can invoke emotion with bits of plastic, sawdust, paint and 300 grams of resin, you know you are an artist. Stunning result.
Perfect Diorama because... Perfect Models were just not enough. Amazing work!
Absolutely stunning! Your attention to detail is simply amazing!
I remember watching the video for the helicopter build and I couldn’t wait for the diorama. Bravo
Thank you David, for your wonderful videos and dioramas.
Both a wonderful inspiration.

Nádherné diorama i dost inspirativní. 👌
You are by far the best model builder on the net love watching your skills true artist.
I love your commitment to the piece. But you are also incredibly cathartic to listen to. Youve earned a subscriber. Keep up the awesome work.
Absolutely mesmerizing work. I'd rather have this on display in my home than any of the things I see in art galleries these days.
I love watching you create these works of art.❤. And you’ve done it again. Masterful work. Makes me wish I could still do this.
You're an absolute genius, Plasmo!!! Incredible work!! Masterpiece 👍👍
Even when you show us step by step how you do your models, I still dont understand how is that possible. That is another increibly realistic model. You have my credits.
I waited for this lovely diorama. It looks very good. Thank you for your content!

Awesome work! A bird nest in the tower would have been another great detail
Now I see what you mean from my comment on the helicopter video. Well done! I'm actually just recently getting in to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. myself, and seeing this makes me want to boot it up again!
What a timing! After years I am right now in the middle of this game.

Fantastic work David, the diorama looks great, well done.
Music in all your videos making amazing climate. Great modeling and video editing skills.
Couldn't be better timing, I started playing stalker again this week!
Great feel and mood to this dio. Excellent painting and weathering and the landscaping was a project in and of itself. Well done! 👍

David, this is a work of art. Congratulations!
this brings back memories--- memories of suffering, but *cherished* memories of suffering.
No moss were killed making this video! Beautiful job as always! love the great ground detailing. Only thing I would have done is to make some vines on the chopper as well. But amazing and very realistic!
All the practice since 2011 really helped make this as good as it is now!
Love you doing dioramas, you should do more
Love your Pripyat scenes. This one is amazing.
Te ha quedado un diorama genial. No sé si las marcas te regalan la vegetación, pero te has gastado una pasta. ¡El resultado es fantástico! Enhorabuena.

Beautiful work as always, thank you for sharing your process. ☢🖤
I want to assemble a heavily weathered ZIL-130 truck in pripyat and this video is an inspiration for my future work.
Beautiful work David

The best diorama ever. Well done.
Plasmo, your work is so amazing. Love it. So talented.
Phenomenal work! That diorama and helicopter are stunning from every angle.
Skvělá práce - jako vždy! 🙂Těším se na další modely.
