Amazing demo. Great video. Awesome plugins. Best spent 99 dollars for a VST in recent time. For this small amount of money you literally get a full analog sounding complete sound design universe. Stay safe and sound.
This is a pretty good demo, but it doesn’t really reveal how great the plugin is at doing straight amp tones.
Good vintage Marshall tones are surprisingly hard to find in plugins. Since Softube is Marshall’s official partner for modeling, Amp Room leans heavily toward Marshalls, and that’s a very good thing as far as I’m concerned.
It’s an even better thing that they finally released select products out of UAD restriction for native systems. If you’ve been missing the authentic punch and kerrang of vintage Marshalls in plugins, get this one; it doesn’t disappoint.
There are a few other excellent plugins that do Marshall, but they focus on modern hot rodded versions and mic strategies. This is the first and only one I’ve found that does period correct tone, response, and mic’ing strategy for late 60’s - early 70’s classic rock sounds - the Tony Platt channel strip w/ G12H cabinet is stellar.
I hope they release their Bluesbreaker and 2203 models next.
This is exactly why I love this system. It sounds like real gear you found on on an attic after 40 years someone put it there. Not only guitars love that system. I used it on Sax, synth, E-piano, drum loops and what not. It's endless joy... I'm in heaven :)
