I remember going blackberry picking along the trackbed towards Trevor …. This would have been around 1979 I was only 5 and this section had not yet been built on and I remember seeing the telegraph wires which were still in place but had been cut and were drooping down to the ground. Such a shame that they couldn’t have got back to Ruabon but we have to be grateful for the wonderful line
No mention of the dozen locals who gave there time free of charge to make it all happen. Then to be told they had to pay to join the society ! Only the fact that i am a local Welsh man and one of the dozen stops me "thumbs downing " this vid.
