Miriam, wonderful to see you and your beautiful family again. Thank you so very much for this wonderful presentation. Educational and inspiring without boarding a flight. I am grateful for your efforts. 💕
Central Asian Persian (Ancient persian formed by several etnicities, and some related with China) originated from North Eastern China their old script reveal it came from vertical script of sino altai mongolic, it spread in circle motion to middle north Eurasian to left to west to south and back to China on the map. Also for European Uralic people said related with Xiong Nu Hun people in China. Beside that there are also other north easterner China nomad herders like Evenki and Ooroqen that spread to northern Eurasia and to west eastern Europe related with Sami and Komi. And also there are also other that through gansu, qinghai, sichuan, tibet to western caucassus, their ancient rock tower spread from China to Caucassus, from Qiang to Tajiks, little mutation of high plateu mountain range. If we visiting Mongol Tatar it will remind us to Tatar in West Europe. So if we see lot of Han Chinese look like European or Central Asian, that because ancient migrations are in circular motion, offcourse intermarry and cultural development for thousand of years in separated place will set some differences, but we still able to tracking many of similarities. Ancient China is full of mutation due to various terrain and climate, and also full of intermarry.
I am really appreciate it Miriam explored the China’ minorities sites most of our native Chinese. They pay less attention to the minority cultures so you have been doing a good jobs to let us know much more about our minorities country folks .
Thank you Miriam for covering this beautiful series of pictures. I never imagined I could get such important information about something so beautiful from a remote place.
Too many sweats in india. People for some reason competing with hindus to worship graves and fight for who has the best sounding 'sutras' under the guise of 'attracting more people to islam'. As if Allah is so desperate for followers that you can do whatever you can to convert more.
You are fulfilling your purpose in life: To let everyone know what a beautiful world we have, much of which is still undiscovered and undisclosed. That there is a Mr. Ma preserving his culture, his tradition, his civilization is truly a blessing. Thank you so very much.
This is a most impressive video. I watched it from the beginning to the end, and I even replayed some portions of it. What I find interesting is the architecture of the mosque is unlike the ones we normally see. These are more like Chinese traditional styles. I am fascinated by the uniqueness of the buildings. It seems the Salar Muslims are happy to be who they are. Many thanks for this video. I have learned much from it.
thank you for this video, I have seen other videos of ancient mosques in China and this one is amazing too, the Salar Museum has beautiful architecture.
Thank you, Miriam, for this video. Hats off for being able to balance family life with travel demands and content creation ❤ excellent cinematography as usual.
12:53 we had a big wooden box like this decorated with floral painting that we call the bride's box. the same custom thousands of kilometers away. today we use suitcases transported during the wedding procession composed of cars of course. it's very moving and thank you for sharing. Greetings from Algeria!
I think this is your best video, and I love all your others preceding this one. Thankyou so much for sharing this, culture/ history in such a gentle, respectful way. You are a truly gifted storyteller. 😊
Great video! Beautiful houses, museums, and precious carvings & objects! Thx for sharing such invaluable teachings from professor Ma. Your children look gorgeous as well as you & your husband! Glad to see your fine work again! Cheers from Honduras!
This amazing and complementary to China as well. These people are allowed to preserve their ancestors heritage. Where as in Canada and America the native heritage was destroyed. Just like what is happening in Palestine.
So lovely. Thank you and your friend for showing us this fascinating culture. The covered wooden balcony reminds me somewhat of the covered wooden balconies of traditional houses in the Hunza valley of Pakistan too.
Many people don't know that the greatest navigator in Chinese history was a Muslim, Zheng He, and the mosques in China are completely different from those in the Middle East and other parts of the world, they are basically Chinese architecture mixed with Islamic culture. Domes like that are basically imported from the Middle East, China does not advocate such buildings, because it completely lost its original taste, you can see in the video that Chinese mosques in ancient times are Chinese architecture, if you go to Xinjiang and other western regions will see similar mosques in the Middle East. Most of the people there are descendants of Europeans, Middle Easterners and native peoples who were left over from the ancient trade in China, and the ancient Uighur Hui Hu also migrated to China along the Silk Road 2,000 years ago.
Xinjiang mosques don't look like middle eastern or african mosque, what are you blabbing about? It's like saying that all non Chinese look like Donald trump
1000 years ago, after the death of Prophet Muhammad [S.A.W], the companions travelled to china by walk and crossed mountains and during their travel, 200 of them died on the way and only 3,4 of them reached china and they invited people there to islam and they died there. That's why in china there tombs and graves are there and alos on the way to china there are also graves of them who died on the way
Thanks for showing this little known part of China and its people. Looked up more information about the Salar people (撒拉族) on Baidu search. Fascinating history. Wish the ancient Salar relics are moved to larger museums in less earthquake prone parts of Qinghai for preservation.
Salar language belongs to the Oghuz branch of Turkic language family, which is much closer to modern-day Turkish and Turkmen language than Uyghur and Kazakh.
❤❤❤❤ wonderful Muslim community hv been living far away from modern city and preserving their unique culture. Thanks showing interesting historical information ❤❤
If I am not wrong Salars belong to Oguz confederation along with Ottomans’s Kayi tribes, Seljuks. It is the only Oguz turkic tribe in the eastern central Asia.
I am not muslim, so I don't wear one. Also, here, when visiting religious sites, they only expect muslims to wear them, not people of other/non religion.

In the year 1370, exactly from Nurata region Aqman and Qaraman = Baraqhan. They were from our Diş Salir Turkman confederation.
Thank you for making this video. I am a Muslim. Really enjoyed watching this
So glad to hear it!
Greetings from Jakarta, Indonesia 🇲🇨this video is really wonderful. Wow 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

i was quite surprised to see a persian poetry from Hafez among the calligraphy pieces. Tack så himla mycket Miriam för att du visar oss världen.

Unfortunately we ignore half of our history in general.....by design of the rulers hiding behind fake governments!!!!
I am really appreciate it Miriam explored the China’ minorities sites most of our native Chinese. They pay less attention to the minority cultures so you have been doing a good jobs to let us know much more about our minorities country folks .
Such a beautiful mosque and historical site, I hope it can be kept in that way in the future.
This is absolutely amazing sharing. I'm so glad too see it . Thank you so much. Greetings from Türkiye 🧡
Thank you Miriam for covering this beautiful series of pictures. I never imagined I could get such important information about something so beautiful from a remote place.
This is an incredible video. After seeing this, I want to visit and document this beautiful community and historic masjid.
Thank you for this
Nice to see Chinese Muslims happy unlike here in India, solidarity to the Ummah ❤

This is wonderful! Thank you for documenting the Salar people and Xunhua. 🥰

Wow! The architecture is embed with historical and unique culture.
馬老師為自己的民族文化向世人展示作出努力👏👏👏
非常好👍用自己熟識的語言,再配上中英文字幕,把所有內容表達得好清楚到位,多謝💖🤗
WHY ARE SUBTITLES (IN OUR OWN LANGUAGE) NOT AVAILABLE?

thank you for this video, I have seen other videos of ancient mosques in China and this one is amazing too, the Salar Museum has beautiful architecture.
Mr. Ma is a learned man. I hope his museum will thrive!
I hope so too, I love that he keeps it inside his village, and doesn’t move it to the local town.
Thank you, Miriam, for this video. Hats off for being able to balance family life with travel demands and content creation ❤ excellent cinematography as usual.
TQ for your wonderful video, your voice is so calm and soothing 😌

Salaam from Cape Town South Africa i really enjoyed your video
Thanks for this extraordinary document!
In this world we need to know more about each others.
In our Holy Hadees Book, it is written that: " Gain knowledge (ilm) and do study even if you had to go to China for it"
Tq Miriam. Interesting architecture.

MasaAllah
A very informative video. Thank you 👍🏼
Unbelievable how Islam is in China amazing....thank you for showing history of Islam in China.
Thank you for watching! I find this very fascinating, that they travelled so far, and decided on this particular spot.
This Salar house also looks a lot like wooden houses in Azad(free) Kashmir & in the Kalash valley of Northern Pakistan.
They are autosomally admixed nowadays and phenotypically similar to neighboring ethnicities.
Turkish, Azerbaijani, Turkmen, Gagauz and Salar people are Oghuz Turkic people.
They speak O'g'uz Turkman dialect a little different than Uzbek and Uyg'ur languages.
The village is so pretty
They are our Muslim Turkish brothers!
Esselamun Aleykum from the other side of the Turkish world.
Showing a map of china and where you are would be so helpful :)
Masha allaah

Even Turkman people, especially Ata Turkman tribal entity has Nurata clanal group within their tribe.
So sad and scary about the earthquake
It is! It was such a difficult task for the rescue forces too, minus degrees and in very rural areas, difficult to access. A real tragedy! 💔
حسبنا الله و نعم الوكيل
Salar language belongs to the Oghuz branch of Turkic language family, which is much closer to modern-day Turkish and Turkmen language than Uyghur and Kazakh.
Is the mosque still active?
Yes!🙌
We called themselves Nurata Turkmans, and Uzbeks called us Turkman Uzbeks or Uzbek Turkmans.
❤❤❤❤ wonderful Muslim community hv been living far away from modern city and preserving their unique culture. Thanks showing interesting historical information ❤❤
2:01 ayatul kursi😊
I wonder if they still remember and know their tribal and clan affiliations 🙂
好奇用的什么设备拍摄的视频
这个视频里一部分是用a7C,一部分是a7siii. 镜头是sigma 24-70/2.8 和sigma 17/4.0 🤗
Relatives of Turkish people. Both are Oghuz Turkic and Muslim.
Mirian as legendas por favor

😀😀😀
Wonderful video! Thank you Miriam. But I feel the view is shaking when you move. I guess the gimbal was not working well.
中国穆斯林人和华人友好往来。
Tell them to speak Salir language not Hanzu 😂
Not nice not letting them speak in their own language!
👍
was it that that guy an "archeologist" felt entitled to steal the old Karan from China for himself?
Dear awesome work except your proper hijab .جزاك الله خیرا واحسن الجزاء
I am not muslim, so I don't wear one. Also, here, when visiting religious sites, they only expect muslims to wear them, not people of other/non religion.
I had saw these kind of wooden house in finland too.
Your two children are beautiful. They need a little sister 😅
循化的尕面片,🌶就美啊!!!
Why you always use these word "Minority""??? These word means separate to each other not unit each other .
No, minority means that they are a minority. Han Chinese is the majority within China, and they have many minority groups. Groups that are ethnically, culturally, historically different from the majority. Minority simply means that it is not majority.
马老师我可以😍
what wrong with religion which 2000 years, compare to chinese culture that's 5000 years and survive. What you want to believe? 😂❤
HOLY LORD GOD JESUS CHRIST FATHER HEAVELY CREATOR OF ANGELS IN HEAVEN AND holy people on Earth IT IS THE PERFECT TRUTH , PURE SPIRITUAL , WORKER , ETERNAL , ALIVE , HE LIVES IN people who RECEIVE HIM , HE NOT LIVE IN THING'S ARE MADE BY HAND'S OF HUMAN'S
