    Thanks for giving the beanie a break. ;-) Great player, and I think your teaching delivery has gotten even better.

      So my teaching is better without the beanie? 😂 Thanks! I've been doing 100s of videos for my Sax School which has really helped hone things in a bit.

      @@ScottPaddock if I had your hair I'd ditch the beanie. ;>) Seriously though, wonderful job teaching. I'm also a funk/smooth player, I appreciate you.

    Hi Mr. Paddock, a lot of people say you should fall in a diatonical manner. When would it be preferred to fall diatonically rather than chromatically?

    • @ScottPaddock
      @ScottPaddock  3 роки тому +2

      Everything is dependent on the specific situation, but I would almost never fall diatonically, I always add as many chromatic notes as possible. The more chromatic it is the smoother and "fallier" it is.

    Doesn't it just annoy you when someone comments that your 2 minute tutorial video was infact 2 minutes and 34 seconds long ? I'm guessing that you said "Starting from now" to indicate the actual tutorial start time as opposed to the whole video time. Am I right? The youtube sax tutorial content creator struggle is real.

    • @ScottPaddock
      @ScottPaddock  3 роки тому

      YES! In the past I'd always get comments like that so I am sure to clarify in the video "two minutes of teaching time" - the intro, outro, and subscriber portions take at least 30 seconds.
