How bout playing Let the music do the Talkin? One of their greatest songs. Still love JPP and have been a fan since the beginning! Rock on Joe! Thanks for posting this Mr. Powers.
They open every show with Let the Music Do the Talking. Saw them a few days ago at Hampton Beach and recorded the opening on my phone. If I can figure out how to post it on YT, I will. But I doubt the quality will be good. Plus, you may hear me singing along.
@@robpaxson4455 I did a little searching around and found one parenthetical mention of Joe Pet, turns out he had a "health issue". Maybe Covid or Vax related, probably will never be made public.
Joe Pet had to back out with health problems. He's a friend of my brother. He's doing better but didn't feel he could do the music justice. Similar to David Hull. We're not getting any younger
I read an interview recently where Joe admits his playing suffers without another guitar in the mix because he has to balance the rhythm with the lead. Which is why I found it odd that Charlie Farren opened for them at Hampton Beach but didn't even join in on one song. Charlie did his acoustic/electric solo thing that night. He could have stepped in on rhythm guitar and sang "East Coast, West Coast" and left the rest to Gary. Personally, I would have loved that, but who knows.
@@iainmacdonald8099 I never realized how good BW was until he first left Aerosmith. I saw The Whitford-St. Holmes Band open for Blue Oyster Cult at the old Garden and Brad was great on lead. Man I'm getting old.
good to see Joe Perry but he is a B leaguer who has not really done much over the last 30 years in terms of writing rock songs. But how does the set list not include Sweet Emotion and Back in the Saddle?
It’s a joe perry concert not an Aerosmith concert. I was there and loved it. Prefer to see him than Aerosmith (and Aerosmith is my favorite band) because you get to hear a bunch of different songs that for the most part are not hits.
Love it 💕
It is your turn to shine. You are out of the SHADOWS

@@bobkeenan2907 I look forward to your post! Any chance to see Joe and the guys is a gift I look forward to. Thanks!
What happened to Joe Pet on drums for this mini-tour?
I thought the same! Definitely not him here

@@HashiAkitaPuppy that’s too bad, it seemed like he was looking forward to the shows

They need to raise the name of the band sign behind the DRUMMER so people can see. All people see is the DRUMMER and not the BRAND
After all, people are coming to see JOE PERRY, not the DRUMMER
Joe's style absolutely demands a tight rhythm section behind him, otherwise it all falls apart. . These guys aint it.
Need Brad or a second guitar player.
Yeah. That way Joe doesn't have to "carry the whole load" , so to speak. Great suggestion 👌

I’ve noticed how bare the guitar sounds without the other half. I think that’s the secret to Aerosmiths sound .. brad played in between those spaces.

How many times are you gonna post the same stupid comment
@@geneb2131 he played Aerosmith songs so if he is going to do that best play the Wight ones
@@Dave_Wight_The_Rock_Oracle you are aware that Aerosmith has two guitarists, some of those songs wouldn’t work with just one
@SEZWAH I didn’t call Joe a B leaguer
