- As soon as a thought comes to mind you should be able to say it aloud in English. This is spontaneity. For this the learners need to practice thinking in English. For basic levels of language learning using the mother-tongue is good but to go forward and improve the ability to use the language the learners have to go beyond this two-language formula and start concentrating only on English. This does not mean that they neglect all other languages. The language which they already know well does not need to be practiced. But the language which they are learning now and want to become proficient in-that is English-needs more practice and that is why thinking in English, preparing for speaking contexts beforehand are important strategies. This video details all of them.
