Early Morning Fishing at The Warren, Folkestone. 4K

- An early morning high tide on a Sunday and I was free to fish it! The alarm was set for 3.45am and the destination was Shakespeare Beach, Dover. I got there in good time but there was no space at all to park so I had to think quick and find another venue. The Warren at Folkestone was only 15mins down the road so I headed straight there. As I walked out onto the concrete apron the heat was already building and it wasn't even 5am! I headed to the far eastern end of The Warren just before the beaches started, and I fished off the walkway. The sea was calm and there was life everywhere. I didn't have to wait long for my first bite and bites were steady for a while. I only had 3hrs or so to fish as the falling tide went quick today so I was targeting anything and everything. I didn't blank and caught fish. The sun was shinning and it was a glorious morning and I couldn't think of anywhere I'd rather be than beside the sea.

It's a lovely spot for a session carl but the dogfish are getting everywhere around Kent atm and making fishing a bit monotonous 🤦

Looked a great session in great weather. What would we do without the good old dogfish keeping our rod tips nodding. We sure would have a lot of blanks lol. Give me a doggie over a pin whiting anytime😂

@@gsp ive had a couple of small Thornies there, some Plaice, Flounders and Bass. A friend of mine gets Bream along there in the rougher ground and has had a few Turbot and Soles where you fished aswell.
I've heard about turbot from down the Warren. Very interesting. I might put a little bit more effort down there this year🤔
Anither great vid mate. Looks like a nice venue, i had a go at freelining for bass last night with some success. Looks like that would ve a great place for it. Good few foah for daytime mate. I always steuggle in the day, to be honest its a vut of anstruggle all the time at the moment😂😂🎣🎣👍👍
It would be a great place for freelining definitely! I'm gonna try and float fish the area a bit more and get some bass that way.

The weather lately has been amazing, fishing session with shorts only! The warren looks like a very beautiful spot too. Managed to get my first smoothhound (pup) of the year 😂 the other day, tried reculver to see if anything has changed and now there’s a horrendous amount of weed, probably still stick to the south coast for now
Yeah I'm not gonna start complaining yet about rhe heat as I've only just finished complaining about the wind🤣🤣🤦

That is exactly why what was wrong with Mark and Pete🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 dogs are everywhere and I need to get away from them!

@@gsp done that many times, it's a trek in itself so is the walk to where you were fishing, had the biggest pouting of my life down there, thought It was a cod until I got it up the wall lol

Great little session there mate .Whats the tide like when it goes out where you were fishing ? Does it go out as far fishing of the concrete as much as it does on the beach ? Let us know as im thinking of trying warren for the first time cheers
I think it does go out that far. I think it would be well away from the edge. But you can get down there and fish over low too

No it's still my gopro 10 in just processing it in full 4k now. Alot longer process but better results

I park by the folkestone camping and caravan in club. Just on the side of the lane and then it's a 200m walk to the water
