EXPLORING the ISLAND of GILI AIR 🇮🇩

- The Gili Islands are located just off the coast of LOMBOK but are relatively easy to access from BALI as well. GILI TRAWANGAN is known to have the best nightlife, GILI MENO is perfect for a romantic luxurious getaway, and GILI AIR (the island we chose) is known for it's laid back and chill atmosphere.
There are NO CARS allowed on these islands so it's most popular to travel by foot or bike! Luckily for us it only takes about 20minutes to cross the entire length of Gili Air so today we decided to explore all of the main areas. While there are still many shops, restaurants, and cafes to visit, we found the island to also be quiet and peaceful. We were very happy with our decision of which Gili Island to stay at!

First-off..thank you for the video and making the effort to put it together and sharing it, I enjoyed watching it but was frustrated as I realized you searching for "deeper" water beaches..you need to learn how tides work. You were there at low tide and low tide will be around the whole island..6 hours later you will find it to be high tide. Tide times also move daily with a few minutes so 11:00 High Tide will not be Hight Time 2 weeks later.. I hope that help with you future travels. Thanks again for sharing your experience.
Hahaha yes you can tell how often we are by the ocean 😂 we are so use to swimming in lakes that we completely forgot about tides as silly as that sounds! But we did realize soon after that they aren’t as predictable as we originally thought 😂 thank you for the insight! That definitely helps better our understanding 😁👏🏼

1) Chill Out Bar (east side, south end) is situated in front of easily the best swimming spot on the island, and 2) Graham loves kitties, he just doesn't know it yet :)
Oooo we will have to go check that out if we find ourselves back on the island one day! Hahaha Graham has yet to discover his love for cats but maybe one day 😂
I think that make expensive is the all ingredient take from main island lombok where all produce from there
That would make sense! Pays a little more to have to get all of their ingredients shipped out to the smaller island. Honestly we didn't find the prices much different than on the island of Bali which was nice!
Welcome Indonesia the best beautiful country in the world but sometimes foreigners didn't admit that and sounds really funny for people of Indonesia haha 🤪 but we are very prosperous for your life here haha

You're confused about directions because you have travelled south of the sun. You've probably spent your whole life north of the sun.
Coming from a landlocked part of Canada doesn’t help 😂 we only see the ocean when we go on trips and that didn’t happen much before this one!
Given Graham's issues with cats you need to avoid ever visiting Catstanbul (also known as Istanbul to non cat lovers). It is overrun with them. Best to also avoid the Greek Islands as well, as there are a lot of cats there as well.
Hahahaha yes that sounds like we may not be going to those areas anytime soon 😂 considering only seeing one kept us inside our room for an extra 10min
I'm not sure why you're afraid of cats when it's dogs that attack people all over Asia 😂 cats are awesome, they just want smooches
It's an irrational fear for sure 😂 Hahahaha we are definitely dog people
