- My cousin is thinking about replacing his John Deere 5100 so he's got a Case Luxxum 110 on demo. I thought I'd go and check it out and see what it's like! It didn't quite go to plan as Will wanted to get his bale grab attached, and load up his trailer to see how it pulls, but we had an issue with the hydraulics. I stick the camera in the cab whilst Will drives so he's pretty much running the show for this video!

Hey guys, sorry I didn’t upload last week. I had a little break as I’ve been busy with a few things at home over the last few days. So my cousin is thinking of replacing his John Deere 5100 and has a Case Luxxum 110 on demo. What do you guys think? A good replacement? We had a Case 110 but didn't like it. It gave us problems but that one your cousin is demoing looks like a nice tractor. Could you do a video on Wills thoughts on the Case, what he liked and didn't like?. Nice wee video Nick, look forward to what is coming!
Love case Tractors we have 2 and gear box we love. We have Farm all 110 and Magnum. They are prime movers with cultivation and we have 2 New Holland t7 that generally don't like the amount of crap cultivation creates

Thanks dude, I used to drive that 6640 to school and although the 1188 is a nice update to my old 975 I'm planning on selling it before next harvest

Oh dude they're Englebert Strauss and ALL my work clothes are from them. They do tons of stuff and some serious hard wearing stuff. Plus they look pretty sweet too. The hoodie is from them too

Close it's an 1188 and it's currently for sale
We have had many case tractors over the years, we have found that they became less reliable since the legendary mx, we replaced them quite often just to get the right tractor with no trouble, but we got a luxxum 120 in 2020, and i have much more faith in case tractors now, we are very impressed at how sturdy and reliable the luxxum has been, it has around 6000 hours now with regular maintenance, new tyres got last week. Very nice, comfy and reliable tractor. Good job to case IH for making a better tractor now!

Thanks Nick and Will.I would agree with many here,I think the Vestrum would be a better bet and more of a 'man' for stuff like haulage and heavy work.I fear the Luxxum could be too light for lots of applications.

He needs to get the new John Deere 6100M. That is a good replacment. John Deere is a good machine for frontloader work because of the full frame. Much stronger.

Ok so there’s one of my biggest pet hates that annoys the hell out of me with these newer tractor loaders!! They all make a nice slim line bonnet, no visual bonnet restrictions so you can see out if, then you buy a loader that at its lowest point it well above the bonnet!?! Or is it just me🤣🙈I don’t much like our t5 road manners either 🤷♂️

You didn't disappoint! brilliant video. You should definitely do farm tech reviews sounds right up my street.
You and your cousin should at times collaborate on a film together, your closely linked and would bring so much together. Also, where in the uk are you, you don’t have to give exact your location but where are you roughly. Some understanding is useful. I’ve not been in farming for a very long time, but as I’m near 50 very soon and next year I hope to get a small holding and it’s good to see your films and possible collaboration and contact with other farmers. It’s good to spread the knowledge however great or small. Love your films and farming.

I'll let you know, I did end up fitting the grab and it towed 12 ton of silage plus the trailer nicely

Good idea to do some joint videos looking at machinery and other farms. There is a raw milk dairy farm near me called fen farm dairy near bungay in suffolk using the heat from the muck in the cattle yards to heat the water for the cheese making room.
Think the vestrum would be a better replacement

Had one on demo last year, sweet ride but way too big for me 🤣 updating from a 100hp to 220hp might be overkill 🤣🤣

We've got a Case Luxxum 120 and it's a nice tractor. Used to be John Deere and Fendt were always thought of as the best but definitely think some of the other makes are catching up. Great video Nick 👍

Will Shemilt it’s a Steyr as you said mate in the video n they are the basis for a lot of Case now
The Luxxum looks like a nice tractor but I wouldn't swap the Deere for it. Does he have any trouble with his 5100 weight distribution lifting bales? We have a 5100r and find it struggles to lift half a ton without the back end lifting up, you certainly couldn't travel a distance with a load like that on the front.
