This isn't Grey jedi. He literally tells the inquisitor "it's time to set you free" aka to free them from their anger and hate. If anything this shows just hiw far he has gone in his jedi training. From wanting to kill in anger on the bridge to this, freeing a poor soul of their rage and resentment, and to move them on into the force.
Grey Jedi is just a Jedi who operates outside of the councils rules which is what cal does considering the council is gone and no master Jedis to reprimand his actions

Cal is the perfect example of a jedi acting unjedi like in the most jedi way, he fights most battles without anger but employs tactics that jedi would typically avoid due to the fact that the resistance is basically reduced to hiding at this stage in the story. Cal is one of few jedi left and it shows in the way he is written.

I think by the end of the game he is a grey Jedi by what he said it sounds like he’s abandoning trying to rebuild the Jedi order but still following some aspects of it and he can use the dark side so I’m pretty sure he’s a grey Jedi by the end

It’s sad because the inquisitors are basically the Sith cannibalizing whatever they managed to pry from the jedi and twist it into serving them. Each inquisitor is a captured padawan or knight that couldn’t escape when the Empire took over, and was thusly brainwashed and tortured into submission. They aren’t even that strong compared to true jedi masters, so its double sad that they’re only really effective against inexperienced jedi and non-force users.
Cal Kestis is really becoming one of my favorite characters. As far as power in the force he's somewhere between Kanan and Kenobi. He's not a master of any one lightsaber form but he is skilled in several including: Soresu, Jar'Kai, Ataru, Shii-Cho, and Makashi. He's also proficient with a blaster and he has a wider variety of abilities tha we've seen in anyone except Luke Skywalker. Combine Ezra Bridger and Quinlin Vos and you still dont have all of Cal's abilities. Of course since he's a main character he feels the pull of the Dark Side. And, even besides his Jedi abilities/skills he has alot of practical skills. At this point hus lightsaber should be yellow or even orange, he fits the Sentinel role better than anyone else.
It's confirmed that Cal Kestis' canon lightsaber colour is Orange, he is the first Canon jedi to have an orange bladed lightsaber which makes him more unique

Going for the head is like textbook Jedi, that’s the preferred method. Going for the head to avoid suffering with a “clean” kill. Especially with the buildup to it, even more Jedi.
I love the duality of this scene. You have the nineth sister pacing back and fourth with anger with her lightsaber ignted and treating it like a toy and then we have Cal who is standing there calm and collected with his lightsaber on his hip standing speaking with simpathy toward the nineth sister as he knows she can't be saved until she lashes out which causes her demise.

This is so not a “gray” moment. He applied the Jedi code to this duel 100%. He may have wanted to engage initially over the loss of his friends, but he got a moment to collect himself. When the time came for the duel he was cool and collected and didn’t kill out of anger. 100% clean fair and honorable

@@josemolina3858 follow up to my last reply but even Vader dying was because he went to the light side cause if you look at someone like darth maul (who lived exclusively off of the dark side for years) the dark side can keep you alive for a long long time after "death" hell its why Anakin lived after Mustafar

@@M-zf6gw They claim they want Grey in Star Wars, yet can't comprehend that the good guys will make mistakes (and won't be on the light side all the time) and that bad guys having positive traits doesn't put them in the right.
It has to be Grey Jedi. And it makes no sense because Ahsoka literally dies in the Clone Wars TV show and is revived by light side energy, so she's definitely very much on the light. Plus, Qui-Gon even says in his novel that he will always choose the light over the darkness, even if there will never be more light than darkness. Yet fans claim Ahsoka and Qui-Gon are Grey Jedi.

This is so not a “gray” moment. He applied the Jedi code to this duel 100%. He may have wanted to engage initially over the loss of his friends, but he got a moment to collect himself. When the time came for the duel he was cool and collected and didn’t kill out of anger. 100% clean fair and honorable

@@zackwaggoner4346 Qui-Gon is not a Gray Jedi. They don't exist. Look up Kanan's voice actor, Freddie Prinze Jr. angry rant about Qui-Gon literally saying, "I turn to the light because it's there."
This is literally a line from Qui-Gon's book; "“It matters,” Qui-Gon said quietly. “It matters which side we choose. Even if there will never be more light than darkness. Even if there can be no more joy in the galaxy than there is pain. For every action we undertake, for every word we speak, for every life we touch-it matters. I don’t turn toward the light because it means someday I’ll ‘win’ some sort of cosmic game. I turn toward it because it is the light.”
Jedi do in fact kill. They just don't kill out of anger. They do it out of Justice. Cal calmed himself, and knew it was his duty.

This is one of the best moments in the game, especially to open up.. Love seeing how different cal is compared to Fallen order.. He wasn't happy about that kill, knew it had to happen tho and did it the Jedi way. 'He did what he must'
