      The way scientists discovered helium is absolutely nuts. Uranium was discovered in 1789 because it was present in pitchblende ore, but Helium wasn't discovered until 1860 because it involved fancy spectroscopy technology. And it was first detected IN THE FUCKING SUN

      uranium is in rocks so it's normal to be discovered early
      however they didn't know the concept of radioactivity at that time and just thinks it's a cool element that makes things glow under uv light

    Some Mistakes:
    0:21 A bunch of mistakes.
    Elements discovered before 1650 in this video in order: Cu, S, Ag, Sn, Sb, Au, Hg, Pb, Bi. Phosphorus was not discovered until 1669 and of course Iron was discovered before that.
    Elements discovered before 1650 in order: Cu, Pb, Au, Ag, Fe, Sn, Sb, S, Hg, Zn, Pt, As, Bi.
    There are a bunch more mistakes in the beginning that I won't list
    Too many mistakes actually. Where did you get Arsenic being discovered so late?
    Europium was not discovered that late.
