I gained more quality, important advice for the auto Collison shop I am opening in this one video of a 20 year old kid than I have gotten by a years worth of "experienced" bussiness owners in the industry. 10 years from now, this kid is gonna be much further than his expectations bc he has the recipe+ approach for success!!!! Keep the innovative + informative videos coming man. MUCH APPRECIATED
Thanks for the tips and advise, you got a good head on your shoulders for your age, I wish you all the best luck in your future, I look forward to hear the 10 year update in your garage.
I can even put up a portable tent around a car to shelter me from bad weather ! Why pay high overhead for a shop ! When you can bring your shop to your customer ? And charge less for labor !
Man you're awesome!! You're motivating me because I want to open a shop too! I'm in the same situation as you with family help but the only problem is that I cant't get helped by other mechanics becasu the want money for that or they dont't have time to learn me so my only chance is to watch you're videos. I'm 20 and I'm in love with bimmers and you're helping me a lot so keep up with shoplife..
You are a great mentor . I worked since I was 8 due to my dad was a master mechanic for a total of 55 years. Back then you could bring your kid to work in a shop . he worked in 2 shops as a master mechanic at taxi places . I started by sweeping floors then doing oil changes and by 13 could take a car apart and put it back together again. I did that until I wanted something different . So I went in the NAVY on submarines for 7 years. But I wanted to do 20 but it was not in the cards. I got hurt bad on one leaving me with no use from the waist down. I still wonder today if I would have stayed working on cars if I would have gotten hurt.
I'd like to see a video on the legal document! and your doing awesome man! I'm hoping to open my own shop, after I move to Florida! I want to do that same you are, and make it a more of a brand then just a small shop! I worked in the mechanics field for 5 years, I just got out because each shop I worked at was terrible to the customer and/or the employees! so now I'm just working anywhere I can till I move!
Everyday I watch your videos... everyday I question what I want to do. Watching your videos is inspiring me to maybe start me career working as a mechanic. I really always thought about when I was young but never really pursued it because I always though it wouldn't be a job where I can live happily. I never really thought to one day open my own shop but it sounds like an appealing idea. I know it's not going to be easy especially on Long Island where I live but maybe one day I'll be as successful as you man.
Great video...its never too late. The main aim is to keep moving and focus on the goals..Thanks fornsharing,I have been in formal employment for sometime and hope to be self employed.....kudos
Great stuff man, So are you already in Cali? I have to come down and chop it up with you. If you need advice or If I need advice or help. Thanks for the great vid's and professionalizm.

Skull Knight ....Based on location and what u are going to be specialized in..please do ur homework. I was just told 15k to 25k. Tools..insurance. .taxes..licences. I pray for the best.
Great Video, I am thinking of opening up my own shop as an owner not as a worker, I can do basic work but I am not an expert. I have started a few businesses in the past but I feel there is a need for other kinds of shops in my area.
Hi Hans, If you are still interested in setting up your own shop.. I can definitely help! .. Let's connect! email me at support@beatpartz.com or call me at 203-302-0041....
let us know where your shop will be. Most shops I know or have experienced with are run by non-enthusiasts. It's good to know a shop run by an enthusiast. Best of luck.
Hey, what’s up man, A buddy and myself are currently wanting to open up a shop in Northern California, and was wondering what’s the process on doing so. Great video by the way, great information
Easy stuff, changing oil then spark plugs on a four cylinders then brakes eventually you'll have the balls to do valve covers accessory belts etc.... Start small
Likhwa Dube funny that you say thatn when i was 19 i bought a 94 chevy Silverado and it was junk. At the time i didnt know about cars and my truck stopped running. I ended up tearing it down and rebuilding it. Im 25 and now ready to open my own shop. Take a beater and learn. Best learning youll ever get
Alhambra is just around the corner from me, LA is a completely different world than NC, best of luck to you man. What made you want to move to LA? You are still going to school in NC but have a shop in LA? How is that going to work?
LA is quite a bit different. I was born and raised in NC and wanted a change also CA has amazing weather and there's always something going on. I am doing school online.
Make sure you have space, and buy cars that you see a lot of around your area. Be active on forums or other social media that way people know what you have.
hey, really enjoy ur videos, i have been watching it for almost a year, i have an e46 325, but its in bad condition, and i really get tired of working on it. So im wondering if you are still gonna work primary on e46 or something else, cause its really hard to find a good substitute fro e46. I really learned a lot from this channel.
What if you don’t plan to do the work yourself but hire some young kids to do it for basic maintenance. I do have some basic experience maintaining my own car so I was there I know Cars at some level.Would that work OK any tips?
Please message or vid about working with a dealership! I was planning on doing what your doing. I have a garage work space at a home and I do a bunch of portable repairs. I soon hope to open a bigger garage and start a business, but also sell some cars to a dealership. I hope you can assist with any suggestions!
Hey I'm really loving your videos and I have a question for my own beamer. I have a 2002 e46 coupe (325ci) and the radio can't accept an aux. However, I can currently get one from a later model that can hopefully work with an auxiliary input placed in the back of the radio unit. I'm wondering if it's plug and play if the donor car had Harmon Kardon and most likely a Harmon Kardon amplifier. I don't think mine even has an exterior amp, would I have to buy the amplifier as well to get the radio to work?
fabian santos worked great! You need to buy an aux adapter that fits into the stock radio, can be found on eBay for cheap. Next, make sure you have a stereo that's been manufactured after Sept. 2002 or it won't work. The aux will only respond and the radio will only switch to aux when it detects a phone. You must have it plugged in. Ask me anything else and I'll try to help
I'm not sure if you have any experience or dealings with collision shops but I was wondering if you had any advice that would differentiate from auto repair? Being that, in auto body shops gain most of Thier bussiness through insurance companies or verbal contracts with other small businesses! thanks
Great video! Me and a friend want to start a legal automobile ac repair business....I live in Florida...do you know anything about doing a two man shop legalities...? I have tools and am a decent mechanic already just want to specialize in ac. Thanks...ps searched UA-cam could not find videos on starting auto ac shop..thanks for your time...
My shop is in Alhambra CA now, but you can get tools from harbor freight or any other tool suppliers. In charlotte the car scene is growing rapidly as well so just do a bunch of social media.

hey did you have to do any thing with the wiring on the s54 swap?
Yes, I had to swap over a few wires on the dme connector, it depends on what year/model your car is, since the wiring is different.
