We use a tru-vue cleaner and an ammonia free cleaner for all of our glass cleaning. Out-gassing from poor choice of materials or the use of common household cleaners is more of a problem in home framing. For commercial work the framing process should be documented for future reference by client and framer alike. In the above example the glass does not touch the artwork due to mat spacing. is the glass cleaner of archival quality? even if if it's removed with the cloth, wouldn't some slight chemical residue remain on the glass and thus contact the artwork?
